Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is proud to offer this burnt orange metallic 1969 AMX for sale. The AMX is a two-seat GT-style sports car that was produced by American Motors Corporation from 1968 to 1970. The AMX was also classified as a muscle car but differed from other American cars at the time because of its short wheelbase. The name AMX is an acronym for American Motors eXperimental, which was a code assigned to concept vehicles in the mid-sixties. The AMX was also the only American-built steel-bodied two-seater of its time, the first since the 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbird, and rivaled the only other two-seat American muscle car: the Chevrolet Corvette. After only a short three-year production run, the AMX was discontinued in 1970, and was replaced by the Javelin from 71-74. This classic AMX makes quite the statement with its burnt orange metallic paint covering its sweet vintage bodylines, and the black racing stripes that continue the muscle car look. Under the hood of this beautiful car is a potent 390 CID V8, topped by a big 4BBL carb. Firing it up produces a loud enough rumble that it turns heads every time the pedal hits the floor. The 4-speed manual transmission behind it is just what most drivers want, and it shifts smooth throughout all gears. Long tube headers scavenge the exhaust gases into a true dual exhaust with that epic rumble muscle car aficionados love to hear. A big aluminum radiator and electric fan help keep the big 390 cooled. Front disc brakes improve the stopping power, and the BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires provide much better handling than the bias ply tires of 1969. Wrapped around a set of American Racing TorqLite 5-spoke aluminum wheels, its rubber is sized 225/60R15 in front, and 255/60R15 out back, so theres plenty of rubber on the road. Inside, the black on black interior is in good condition, with twin black synthetic leather seats being the only occupant holders, and they have survived very well. The carpet and dash are also in good condition. An Alpine AM/FM/CD/MP3 head unit sends the tunes to two tri-ax speakers behind the rear seats, so youll have much better tunes than you wouldve had with the original 69 AM radio! Additional features and options on this 1969 AMX for sale include Aluminum Wheels, AM/FM/CD/MP3 Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seatbelts, and Vinyl Interior. If you want a wild and powerful muscle car with unforgettable looks and plenty of ponies under the hood, then call today to put it in your garage! For more information on this 1969 AMX for sale, to see all the HD pictures and videos of it, copy the URL below, and see it at this direct link: https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/show/HOU/1732 . Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this time capsule of a 1983 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler. A cool icon meets rarity, 4x4 prowess, and plenty of flair in this 1983 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler. As far as classic Jeep aesthetics, it doesnt get much better than this. The CJ8 is covered in a slick black paint thats the perfect background for the silver pinstripe graphics package that runs the length of the truck. But even this tasteful accent package isnt the brightest piece. The iconic seven-slot grille, tubular bumper with a brush guard, side mirrors, and 15-inch wheels are all polished to a mirror-like shine. So yes, this is a standout Scrambler. But even the pretty boys still know how to get to work. Thats why you have a full-size spare and a rubber mat protecting the truck bed. While the design lines of these are iconic, the longer wheelbase CJ8 is a rare sight. In fact, Jeep sold nearly eight times more CJ5s & 7s in 83 than the Scrambler pickup. This Scrambler is all about allowing you to choose your level of open air. Its a sung hardtop pickup when you need closed security, or you can remove the doors and top to have the best features of Jeep and truck utility combined. That makes this Scrambler versatile and ideal for everyone from longboard surfers to those who occasionally bring home large projects. The controls are laid out in typical Jeep fashion, with a grippy three-spoke steering wheel, column-mounted automatic transmission selector, and a short stalk floor shifter for the four-wheel drive. Plus, heater controls and gauges are clustered in the center of the dash for easy operation. Under the hood is the Fuel Injected 258 cubic-inch inline-six motor. Its a long-established powerplant for Jeep that has proven its reliability and continues to have easy parts availability. Torquey and robust, this has always been the right motor to be paired with the off-road-ready Jeeps. Tall gears and a low range in the transfer case give it rock-crawling stability, but thanks to the modern BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As tires, it can cruise easily at highway speeds, too. In fact, with its 4 Speed Manual transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes, this Scrambler is just as comfortable being a city slicker on the weekdays as it is a country climber on the weekends. Scramblers are an awesome way to enjoy vintage Jeep looks while getting added rarity and versatility. So when you can find a nicely finished example like this one, you know you need to hurry if you want to take it home. Call now! with a clean history and low miles, Dont miss your opportunity to own a piece of American offroad history in our Dallas Showroom. It can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and a HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Our Kansas City showroom is thrilled to offer this a stunning 1955 Ford Thunderbird that is very much original with modern changes making it a great drivers car! The Thunderbird was Henry Fords response to the Chevrolet Corvette, and was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. No one could have predicted the success the Thunderbird would have. The Thunderbirds first year of production literally outsold the Corvette more than 23 to 1. Though it was sleek and sporty, the Thunderbird was not considered a sports car to Ford, but a personal luxury vehicle. This Torch Red beauty is a fine example of that first year, a great representation of the epic Thunderbird line. With a short and stout body, lovely curves, and a removable hard top, its a real looker. Some of the modern touches to this T-Bird includes the wide white wall radial tires. This Thunderbird for sale is powered by a legendary 292 cubic inch Y-Block V8 and is accompanied by a rare manual transmission, which makes it a fun a nice cruiser for anyone and everyone. The red interior was reupholstered, and the carpet was replaced giving the interior the look it did coming right out of the showroom back in 1955. This fun driving 1955 Thunderbird convertible for sale is ready to head on down to the local cruise-in, drive-in movie or road trip! To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures at Kansas.City@gatewayclassiccars.com or call us today at 913-815-1340. Description:

Our Nashville showroom digitally showcases this very original 1938 Ford DeLuxe four door convertible. While the vast majority of automobiles built in the U.S. in the late 1930s had closed bodies, open cars still carried an aura of luxury and exclusivity. Even Ford, which perfected mass production, introduced a new open car that combined the best features of a closed body, a cabriolet, and a four-door sedan into one single design. Offered only in DeLuxe trim, the distinctive Convertible Sedan drew many prospective buyers into Ford showrooms. This example came from a car museum in the Southeast and left the factory with nearly every one of the 20+ factory options for the year and model. These included deluxe hubcaps, deluxe wheels, cigarette lighter, side mirrors, dash clock, bumper guards, glove box, and many more! This car came with an 85 bhp, 221 cu. in. V-8 engine with a two-barrel Stromberg carburetor, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with transverse leaf spring, semi-floating rear axle with transverse leaf spring , and four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. The car has been outfitted with a few newer parts to improve drivability and safety. The upgrades include a new griffin radiator to handle the rigors of modern driving, new distributor and coil, new battery, and an alternator conversion. These upgrades were done to convert the car from six to twelve volt for convince and safety. If you are looking for a great example of a survivor pre-war touring car, this is the one! For more information call the Nashville showroom at 615-213-1800 or send us an email nashville@gatewayclassiccars.com http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/NSH/821/1938-Ford-Deluxe

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is a 1955 Ford Sunliner Convertible. Ragtop lovers flocked to Ford showrooms in 1955. They took home 49,966 1955 Ford Fairlane Sunliner Convertible Coupes. Only Chevy came remotely close with about 41,000 soft-top sales. Dramatically new sheet metal and a trendy wraparound windshield draped the carryover 115.5-inch-wheelbase chassis. A concave checkerboard grille, Fairlane checkmark bodyside trim, and large Jet-Tube taillights completed the look in 55. This gorgeous classic car screams of the 50s. The first Rolls-Royces chassis ever made in Springfield was completed in 1921. The Springfield editions were supplied to the American market. 21 Cars were planned, denoting the year 1921, but at the end 27 were manufactured. This Rolls is powered by a 6.8L V8 and runs well. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this gorgeous 1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner for sale. Ford only offered the Skyliner from 1957 to 1959 making this car a rare and collectable find. From 1957-1958 The Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner was produced. In 1959 right before the starting of the Skyliner production, Ford changed the name to The Ford Galaxie Skyliner. This particular vehicle was produced August 4th, 1959 which would classify it as a Galaxie Skyliner. The retractable hardtop option or “Hide-Away Hardtop was unique to Ford branded products and was not offered on any of the other Ford Motor Company brands like Lincoln, Mercury, or Edsel. This is an ideal cruising machine with its original 352CID V8 that has plenty of power to scoot around this boat of a car. The power from the V8 is sent through a super smooth shifting 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic Automatic transmission which makes driving this big car a breeze. This car was made for those summer evening cruises with the family or with friends. It has seating for six on the very comfortable cloth and vinyl interior. So, drop the power retractable hard top, crank up the tunes, and cruise with the wind in your hair. Further adding to the Summer vibe of this car is the very clean April Green and Colonial White paint which matches well to the color matched interior. Other options on this 1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner for sale include: AM radio, retractable hardtop, power steering, cloth interior, and white wall tires. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this 1957 Thunderbird for sale in our Las Vegas Showroom. The Thunderbird entered production for the 1955 model year as a sporty two-seat convertible. Unlike the Chevrolet Corvette, it was not marketed as a sports car. Ford positioned the Thunderbird as an upscale model and is credited in developing a new market segment - the personal luxury car. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time; such as circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tail-fins. The Thunderbird was sleeker and had features like a hood scoop and a 150 mph (240 km/h) speedometer hinting at a higher performance nature that other Fords didnt possess. The Thunderbirds 102.0 inches wheelbase frame was mostly a shortened version of that used in other Fords. This car has been repainted a number of years ago but still looks great. It has a power seat, Town & Country seeking radio, and muffler just replaced. This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Las Vegas Showroom and can be seen great detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/LVS/37/1957-Ford-Thunderbird. Description:

This 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertible is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Galaxie name was used on Fords full-size cars from 59 to 61 to try and cash in on the excitement of the space race. Starting in 1962 they added the 500 and 500 XL to the name plate in order to denote its top of the line cars. Competing head to head with Chevrolets Impala SSs, the full-size convertible market was very tough but the Fords held their own all the way to 1974 when the line was finally discontinued. This beauty is a great example of what the 60s were all about. The body of the car is extremely straight and is believed to be retaining its original panels. The Skylight Blue paint looks like glass and is probably nicer than when she left the factory. The black vinyl top looks great but lets face it this car is all about top down fun. Especially when they see whats under the hood. This numbe4rs matching 390 is one of the most sought-after engines for 1964. Backed by a 4 speed transmission this Galaxie screams 1960s. The inside of this big block drop top is one of the nicest I have seen. The dark blue is a great contrast against the light blue exterior. The bucket seats are separated by a center console with the 4-speed shifter right where it should be. All in all, this 64 is a great example of a 500XL that can be driven as much as you care to drive it. This 390 500XL only has 1000 miles since the restoration and is ready for the next owner to turn the key and smash the gas. Options on this 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertible include, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Powered Convertible Top, Wire Wheel Hub Caps and White Wall Radial Tires. Description:

For sale in our Louisville Showroom is a 1968 Ford Mustang in Seafoam Green! Upon its debut in 1965, the Ford Mustang was Fords most successful launch since the Model A. This iconic machine essentially created the term Pony Car and has been influencing the sports car market ever since its birth. It was only anticipated that Ford would sell less than 100,000 Mustangs upon its arrival into the automotive world. They out did those projections by just a few to say the least. Producing over 1 million Mustangs in the first 18 months of production due to the enormous demand. The inside is a very clean, vinyl interior that is equipped with ivy gold bench seats and a floor shifter which sets off this Mustang perfectly, power steering, power brakes with factory front disc brakes, seat belts, rally wheels wrapped in radial tires. This Mustang has more than enough power to get you moving down any road. It is equipped with the original 289 Cubic Inch V8 that has 5000 miles on the recent rebuild and provides a very satisfying rumble as soon as you start this pristine Pony. This potent V8 is matted to a C-4 3 Speed automatic transmission that effortlessly shifts through gears allowing this Mustang to reach cruising speeds with ease. This year was also the first where factory front disc brakes were included!
