Description:

Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this incredible 1958 Fleetwood 4 Door Hard Top Cadillac into our Denver Showroom! Lawrence P. Fisher was the Fisher brother most closely involved with Cadillac in its early years. In 1916, he joined the Fisher Body Company, which had been formed by two of his brothers in 1908. Larry (as people knew him) was one of four of the seven Fisher brothers who brought Fisher Body Corporation under the General Motors umbrella in 1919. In May 1925, Alfred P. Sloan, then the head of General Motors, appointed Fisher as Cadillac General Manager, an office he retained through 1934. Fisher immediately went to work adding exclusive, custom bodies to the Cadillac range. Thus he oversaw the purchase of the Fleetwood Metal Body Company by the Fisher Body Corporation in September 1925.[1] The Fleetwood Body Company of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, was founded by Harry Urich in the nineteenth century. It began as a small community of craftsmen founded by Henry Fleetwood, Esq. of Penwortham, near Lancaster, England (the Fleetwood family flourished in England in the 17th and 18th centuries). The rich traditions of 300 years of coach-building that the Fleetwood Body Company applied to its work on cars secured for it a high reputation in automobile circles worldwide by the 1920s. Coachwork was built by Fleetwood for a variety of luxury makes through 1924. However, after the Fisher Body Corporation purchased the Fleetwood Body Company in 1925, Fleetwood bodies were reserved exclusively for Cadillac. By 1929 GM had purchased the remaining stock holdings of the Fisher Body Corporation and thus became sole owner of both the Fisher and Fleetwood companies Cadillac used the Fleetwood name as a prefix between 1934 and 1976 on several of its most expensive models, always designating an elevated level of luxury. Between 1958 and 1961, Cadillac used the Brougham sub-designation for its exclusive four-door Eldorado models. The Fleetwood script and crest would not appear on the exterior of any Cadillac until the 1947 model year when it appeared on the rear deck lid of the Sixty Special. By 1952 it also appeared on the rear deck lid of the Series 75. In 1957 the Cadillac Series 70 Eldorado Brougham joined the Sixty Special and the Series 75 as the only Cadillac models with Fleetwood bodies although Fleetwood script or crests did not appear anywhere on the exterior of the car.[4] This marked the first time in 20 years that a Fleetwood bodied car was paired with the Brougham name.[2][3][5] When production of the Eldorado Brougham was shifted in 1959 from the Cadillac Fleetwood plant in Detroit to Pininfarina in Turin, Italy, only then did it acquire Fleetwood wheel discs[6] and door sill moldings,[7] presumably because the design work[7] and final touches[8] were still being done by Fleetwood. This beautiful Dakota Red Fleetwood features an impeccable custom Silver/Black interior. It features the original 365CI V8 Engine and 4-Speed Auto Transmission, with only 94,335 miles on the clock. This timeless American Classic will fit right into any car collection! Restoration completed within 1,000 miles ago. Dont miss your opportunity to own a piece of real American Cadillac history in our Denver Showroom. It can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and a HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

For sale in our Indianapolis showroom is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. This 79 Trans Am for sale is covered in a beautiful Gold paint scheme that screams as loud as the Eagle on this hood. This 1979 Trans Am is the epitome of sport and luxury giving the driver the power of a 6.6 liter V8 while bathing him in Air conditioning. With room for 4 adults, (just put the 3rd and 4th favorite in the back) inside this rocket, this was a party machine in the 1980s. If you listen hard you will hear Duran Duran still coming through the rear speakers. When I was young it seems like every mad dash to the local convenience store for the last beer run of the night was done in a car just like this. So yeah, I have a couple of memories about this car, in fact, if you find a twenty dollar bill stuck between the seats, its mine! To say that tis car has style, power and comfort all rolled into one in an understatement. Powering this party on wheels is a 6.6 Liter V8 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission that makes this Trans Am for sale a joy to drive. Options for this 1979 Pontiac T.A. A full exhaust system has been fitted to give some extra rumble to this beautiful 4x4. A tubular exhaust manifolds bring the hot exhaust gasses down through the rest of the exhaust through some aftermarket mufflers and pops out the tailpipes rumbling along. The paint was meticulously done and will take your breath away. At first glance, you would think you were looking into a mirror, with paint so deep there ought to be a lifeguard on duty. After your eyes adjust some youll notice the black paint is laid down so smoothly it almost still looks wet. Truly top-quality work. But wait, whats that? Very lightly ghosted in are purple and orange ghost flames. Matching that (and even trickier to spot) is an International “IH logo ghosted on the hood in matching colors. This is an impressive truck to say the least. The level of detail is astounding. Even the shocks have been custom air brushed to stand out from the crowd. Options include: Air-Conditioning, Manual Convertible Hardtop, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Alloy Wheels with Oversized Off-road Tires. Description:

For sale in our Denver Showroom is this classic 1958 Ford F100 Pickup. Classic styling with a modern feel, this 58 F-100 combines the best of all worlds with only 2,603 miles on the rebuild completed several years ago. This truck was built in Fords Kansas City plant and was immediately purchased by a farming family in Colorado. In 2011 the current owner purchased this truck that needed some love. The body was in good shape, but need attention so it was torn apart and both the body and frame were sandblasted to see what the overall condition was. Any potential issues were addressed correctly by having a professional cut out issues and replace them with good metal. Once the body was completed and ready for paint, the gorgeous two-tone Ford Indian Turquoise and bright white were laid on the body. This stunning combination paired perfectly with the 20 Ridler wheels both front and rear. The front suspension was replaced with TCI Mustang II independent front suspension and has 11 power disc brakes on the front. The power rack and pinion steering was added for easy drivability and is enormously helpful on those long cruises. The interior was professionally reupholstered and the steering column was replaced with a Summit tilt column. The Gauge cluster was equipped with more accurate Equus gauges to easily monitor the rebuilt 302 small block Ford that was pulled out of a 1972 Ford Torino. The ignition was upgraded to a Pertronix system for extra reliability and the intake was replace with an aluminum Edelbrock AirGap intake for better flow and less weight. All of that power is pushed through a set of Heddman headers and 2 ½ stainless steel exhaust equipped with Thrush mufflers. The completion of this build was a life dream come true for the owner who has always had a healthy obsession with the late 50s Ford pickup trucks for good reason! These pickups are stunning pickup trucks to begin with and, when done up as nice as this one, are absolutely spectacular both to show and drive. When you get in the drivers seat and fire up the V8 to start your drive, you will be blown away by the ride quality and the overall handling. It is tight and precise and feels more like a sport car than an old pickup truck. This rebuilt pickup truck is perfect for anyone looking for something that can be enjoyed and driven no matter where the driver wants to go. You can view this 1958 Ford F-100 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com.
