Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a collection of gas dragsters Gassers for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This one, Morris Monster a 1958 Morris Minor based A/Gas dragster, is powered by a big block 454 Chevrolet fed by dual four barrel carburetors on a tunnel ram intake driving through a manual valve body TH400 transmission. Beautiful blue custom metallic paint really makes this handmade Gasser pop in the sun. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term Gasser refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in heads up drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run grudge matches for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as the gasser war years, which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. To view this gas dragster, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Any car that is over 80 years old has a story to tell and this attractive Tudor is no different: the car underwent a full, frame-off restoration in 1993 to bring it up to its present-day condition. The 350 is paired to a 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic transmission that has barely been broken in with just over 35,700 miles of use. This Ford Tudor sedan really is a looker with its popping Brandywine lacquer paintjob, polished aluminum wheels and unmistakable oversized halogen headlights. Once you open the doors to this stunning sedan and sit down in the Camaro bucket seats, you will be greeted by a pleasingly modernized interior that includes air conditioning, an Alpine stereo with CD player and Stewart Warner gauges that really get you excited about putting your foot on that gas pedal and watching those RPM’s rise with a big smile on your face on a Saturday afternoon. Description:

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is this awesome Agate Gray 2014 Porsche Panamera 4S Executive. One of the most subtly styled rocket ships youll find, this all-wheel drive 177MPH luxo-cruiser stops as well as is goes and eats up the twisties with aplomb. The 2014 model year saw a few changes from prior years, notably the use of a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 for the S models, rather than the 4.8L V8 from before. This potent turbo 6 puts out 420HP and 384 Lb/Ft torque, which is a gain of 20HP and 25 Lb/Ft torque vs. the old V8. Additionally, the addition of two models (the S version E-Hybrid and the Executive, available in both S and Turbo versions). The Executive version of the Panamera was stretched by almost 6 inches over the regular Panamera, for the sole purpose of improving rear passenger space. Both rear buckets are individually heated and cooled, recline, and offer adjustable lumbar support, but the right side is the place to be since the front passenger seat can be controlled from the rear, and moved out of the way. Rear seat passengers will also appreciate the power privacy screens that can be raised or lowered with the touch of a button; as well as the vanity mirrors tucked away in the Alcantara headliner at each position. As mentioned, this 2014 Porsche Panamera 4S Executive is powered by a very stout twin-turbo 3.0L V6, backed by a 7-speed Porsche PDK Automatic Transmission with Manual Shift Mode, which also includes Sport Plus mode with Launch Control (for the limo driver who cant resist the occasional drag race). If you do get carried away with your pursuit of speed, youll appreciate the braking prowess of the Panamera, which sports slotted rotors at each corner, and 6-piston calipers front and 4-piston calipers out back, ensuring deceleration thats as rapid as the acceleration. Big 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels are wrapped by high-performance Continental SportContact radials (255/40ZR20 up front, 295/35/ZR20 at the rear), which provide tons of grip for whatever your pavement pursuits bring you. This Panamera also sports a carbon fiber hood, and rear wing, for reduced weight and increased downforce, respectively. Inside, all occupants get the sport/luxury treatment. Real carbon fiber trim abounds, and leather and Alcantara are everywhere. The Bose audio/Navigation system provide plenty of aural enjoyment, with AM/FM/CD/MP3/Aux Input, Bluetooth phone pairing, and enhanced navigation. Passenger comfort isnt the only aim; however. All 4 occupant positions get airbags: front, side, and head airbags for each seat. Quad Zone HVAC provides each occupant the ability to tailor their environments air temperature to their liking, and the fact that all 4 seats are individually heated and cooled further enhances individual control over ones total comfort preference. This 2014 Porsche Panamera 4S Executive has a lengthy options list: • All-Wheel Drive, Twin Turbo 3.0L V6, with 420HP and 384 Lb/Ft Torque • 7-Speed PDK Automatic with Manual Mode • Active Air Suspension, with Double Wishbone front, Multi-Link rear • Cruise Control • Vehicle Anti-Theft System • Auto-Off HID Headlights • Rear Parking Aid • Power Liftgate • Adjustable Leather Wrapped Heated Steering Wheel with Steering Wheel Controls • Trip Computer • Remote Trunk Release • Universal Garage Door Opener • Variable Speed Intermittent Rain Sensing Wipers • Keyless Entry • Power Door Locks • Electrochromic rearview mirror • Power Folding Heated Mirrors with Mirror Memory • Driver and Front and Rear Passenger Vanity Mirrors • Power Steering • Bose AM/FM/CD/MP3 Stereo Radio w/Aux input, Navigation System, and Bluetooth • Quad-zone Climate Control (Dual Zone Front and Rear HVAC) • Power Heated and Cooled Leather Bucket Seats with Lumbar Support and Memory (front and rear) • Airbags: Driver and Passengers w/Front and Rear Head and Side Airbags • 4-Wheel Power Anti-Lock Disc Brakes, w/6-Piston front calipers, 4-Piston rear calipers, and slotted rotors • Additional Safety Features, including Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control, Daytime Running Lights, Child Safety Locks, Traction Control and Auto-Leveling Headlights So, what are you waiting for? Description:

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this absolutely wild 1979 Chevrolet Malibu. This Malibu is a far cry from the standard grocery-getter that Chevy was stamping out by the thousands. Powering this monster is a 454 big block V8 stroked out to 496 cubic inches backed up to a beefy TH-400 transmission sandwiching a 5000rpm stall converter. The 496 is spinning an Eagle 4340 crankshaft with Eagle H-beam rods topped with SRP 13.5:1 pistons. A pair of Pro Comp Aluminum ported heads round out the long block for a very healthy amount of power on tap. Taking care of getting air and fuel in the engine is a Victor JR intake and a 950 CFM Holley Carburetor. A custom set of Lemons Headers spew the exhaust fumes through a pair of Spintech mufflers for the sound of a beautifully orchestrated chaos. While all of that power makes for killer sound and plenty of tire smoke, there’s more to going fast than just having power; it needs to be effectively put to the pavement. With SPC upper control arms and TRZ lower control arms working in tandem with Qa1 adjustable coil overs, this Malibu grips and rips. A Moser 12-bolt packed fill with 4.10 gears and 30-spline axles resides out back, more than capable of handling the powerplant. A custom frame was fabricated with a 4-link suspension set up to keep the Moser properly located. Making sure the body and frame stay as solid as possible, a 10-point roll cage was installed and painted black to blend in with the gorgeous interior. The two-tone gray paint with the red stripe absolutely pops under the sun. The paint looks deep enough that you could take a dive in it and never come back out. The color scheme is tied through the seats in the interior making for a very complete and well thought out design. The seats were custom redone to match the paint! A switch panel is mounted in the redesigned dash to give the driver total control over all of the electronics of the vehicle, while a master disconnect can set the Malibu in hibernation for any extended downtime. Plenty of custom work is massaged into all aspects of this vehicle, and the hard work really paid off making for an extremely well-finished vehicle. This 1979 Chevrolet Malibu is a very well put together car and should fill your trophy case with ease after only a few shows. Options include: Power Steering, Tilt Steering Wheel, Leather Interior, Kill Switch, Alloy Wheels, and a Posi Traction Rear Axle. For more information on this one of a kind 1979 Chevrolet Malibu, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this stunning 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby-Paxton Supercharged Edition. An incredibly rare car, the Paxton supercharged cars number fewer than 30, and this serialized and registered Mustang is number 16. Shelby was initially developing the Shelby-Paxton SC model to be as close to the original Shelby 350 road racer as possible. But ultimately the Paxton versions couldnt consistently pass EPA CARB testing. Somewhere around 25-30 Paxton kits were sold/installed before production was halted, and that was that. This is your chance to own #16! These Factory Shelby setups included the centrifugal supercharger, an intercooler plenum with reservoirs, a Diablo Predator OBC tuner and appropriate ECU software tunes. This is the same type supercharger design as the original GT 350-a centrifugal type blower vs roots type. This Mustang also includes; Dynatech full length race headers, hi flow cats, x pipe running thru stock GT mufflers and 550 hp and 501 ft. lbs of torque, upgraded fuel injectors, appropriate spark plugs, cold air intake set-up and twin Ford GT 40 fuel pumps. Shelby optional SC gauge pack and Shelby installed-Hurst short throw shifter, Shelby installed Ford Racing Program suspension, tuned dampers, lowering springs, sway bars and strut tower brace, (lowering the car by 2”) In addition, the car includes; new /unused original Shelby logo floor mats, unused car cover, Diablo OBC programmer- tuner with extra and stock fuel maps. Description:

1965 Ford Mustang for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to present this extraordinary 1965 Ford Mustang Notchback Coupe featured in black with black interior. This Mustang would best be characterized as a restomod, but in contrast to other restomods we have offered, this car was not conceived as a straight-line performance car with the largest possible motor under the hood, but rather it is what I would call a modern-day version of what a Mustang could be, with a fuel injected 5.0L V8, automatic overdrive automatic transmission, power steering, air conditioning, and disc brakes all around. With the exception of handsome black Foose wheels, the car has a largely stock, understated appearance. It is solid in a way that few Mustangs are, and it has luxury touches like the rich high back bucket seats upholstered in vinyl and Alcantara, and illuminated sill plates in the doors. The car was built circa 2013 by an expert in Tennessee at a cost of about $70,000, and there is a thick folder of receipts and paperwork that detail the cost and source of all the components. The car has a thrilling exhaust note and it has been well-sorted to handle and cruise in a way that few other 1965 Mustangs ever could. The build quality is meticulous with an immaculate engine compartment and undercarriage. Look closely at the jewel-like of the instruments, seats, console with cup holders and three-point belts. Everything has been thought through and executed intelligently. The body received a complete rotisserie restoration with all new bumpers, trim and gaskets. The motor is a custom-built 1992 Ford 5.0L HO with components including Fast EZ-EFI fuel injection, Track Heat EFI intake, MSD Dyna Force starter, MSD Blaster TFI coil, MSD digital ignition control, MSD Pro Billet distributor, and Hedman headers. The gearbox is a 4R44E AOD automatic Lokar AOD Hi-Tech kickdown kit and the rear is a Streetortrack full-floating 9 unit. The car benefits from Ridetech suspension, Streetortrack 13 x 1.25 4-piston aluminum caliper discs all around, and on Francis wiring. Body and interior features include VHS gauges, SPAL power door locks, Custom Autosound Mustang radio with Pioneer amp and speakers, and Classic Auto Air AC system. The handsome Foose Torq-Thrust II wheels are shod with Goodrich 235/45 R17 G-Force Sport Comp tires. This elegant Mustang coupe could easily be a cool daily driver, or a show car. Many buyers today want the old school look, but with modern performance, reliability, and amenities. This awesome car fills the bill in all respects.

Description:

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1966 Land Rover Series IIa Santana. This is nice restored example of a very cool go anywhere vehicle. The SII and the SIIA are very difficult to distinguish. There were some minor cosmetic changes, but the most significant change was under the bonnet in the guise of the new 2.25-litre diesel engine. Body configurations available from the factory ranged from short-wheelbase soft-top to the top-of-the-line five-door station wagon. In 1967 a 2.6-litre inline six cylinder petrol engine was introduced for the long-wheelbase models, which also had servo-assisted brakes. 811 of these were NADA (or North American Dollar Area) trucks, which were the only long-wheelbase models made for the American and Canadian markets. The Series IIA is considered by many the most hardy Series model constructed. It is quite possibly also the type of classic Land Rover that features strongly in the general publics perception of the Land Rover, from its many appearances in popular films and television documentaries set in Africa throughout the 1960s, such as Born Free. In February 1968, just a few months after its manufacturer had been subsumed, under government pressure, into the Leyland Motor Corporation, the Land Rover celebrated its twentieth birthday, with total production to date just short of 600,000, of which more than 70% had been exported.[3] Certainly it was whilst the Series IIA was in production that sales of utility Land Rovers reached their peak, in 1969–70, when sales of over 60,000 Land Rovers a year were recorded. (For comparison, the sales of the Defender in recent years have been around the 25,000 level since the 1990s.) As well as record sales, the Land Rover dominated many world markets- in Australia in the 1960s Land Rover held 90% of the 4×4 market. This figure was repeated in many countries in Africa and the Middle East. Options include: Radial tires, vinyl interior. Description:

Now for sale at Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is a unique 1960 Pontiac Catalina Safari wagon. This is not the family wagon that your dad bought in 1960! This baby has been customized from stem to stern. Covered in a rich Brandywine Metallic-over-Gray two-tone color scheme, this sleek restomod has a classic look with a modern touch. Inside, its custom tan interior sports synthetic leather seating (including a power drivers seat), with all new carpeting and headliner, a custom overhead console, custom door panels, and dual front and rear Vintage A/C systems. The custom-ride nature continues with its tilt column, topped by a billet aluminum steering wheel, AM/FM/CD radio with 4 speakers, and tinted glass all around. Its digital dash helps the driver monitor the critical functions of the Nickens Brothers-built Corvette LS1 and 4L60E auto trans, which only have about 25K miles since being transplanted into their new host. A custom ECU with PSI wiring harness provide modern serviceability and enable the use of all the new electronic goodies needed for the LS1/4L60E combo. The stout LS1 breathes in via a custom Spectre CAI, and exhausts via a custom dual exhaust setup that sounds great. A big Champion aluminum radiator with electric fan helps keep the powerplant running cool, and a finned transmission cooler helps do the same for the 4L60E. Its Air Ride suspension has plenty of RideTech parts, and the controls and gauges to monitor the pressures are housed in a custom console to the left of the drivers seat. Naturally, all these accoutrements will get the drivers juices flowing enough that the speedometer may be overlooked enough that a good set of brakes become crucial. Of course, thats been thought of too, with huge Corvette slotted/cross-drilled rotors up front, and slotted/cross-drilled Wilwood rotors out back - all of which are nabbed by the Corvette front calipers and Wilwoods at the rear, which serve to scrub off the excess velocity you may have inadvertently generated during spirited driving. Its extra-meaty ultra-low profile Falken performance radials (235/35-19 front, 275/35-20 rear) help keep plenty of rubber on the road whilst youre barreling down the interstate, and they are set off nicely by the Intro Retro billet wheels that theyre wrapped around. Additional options on this custom 1960 Pontiac Catalina Safari station wagon for sale include Air Conditioning, AM/FM/CD Radio, Aluminum Wheels, Power Brakes, Power Drivers Seat, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Synthetic Leather Seating, and Tilt Wheel.
