Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is excited to offer this 1967 Mustang GT Fastback for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This 1967 Mustang is equipped with a 390 cubic inch V8 and 4 speed transmission with only 150 miles since the rotisserie restoration! Although the 390-inch V-8 is roughly 165 pounds heavier than the thin-wall 289, its good breathing produced impressive output: up to 325 horsepower and 427 pound-feet of torque. That is within spitting distance of the 428 Cobra Jets 335 hp and 440 lb-ft (spitting distance being 3.7 percent fewer horses and 3.0 percent less torque, assuming Fords rating methods for both engines were consistent). Their low profile in the market has resulted in values that are steady, less subject to whims of fad and fashion. The 390 was based on the FE-series V-8s introduced in 1958 for Thunderbirds and Edsels. The FE-series persisted well into the 1970s, installed in everything from pickups to Cammer-powered drag cars and Le Mans-winning GT40s. It began flexing its muscle in the redesigned 1967 Mustangs wider engine compartment. The vehicle is wrapped in the legendary Shelby white with blue racing stripes. As you open the door to peek inside you will see a matching blue vinyl interior. This vehicle is equipped with time period correct amnesties minus AC. This fastback is sure to be a proper addition to any true pony car fanatic! Be sure to visit our main web page, www.gatewayclassiccars.com where you can view 100+ pictures, and a short video of this amazing car in action. Along with all the rest of our fantastic inventory in this as well as our other seventeen showrooms! Better yet, stop by our Indianapolis showroom and see the car in person! Were located at 4400 West 96th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Were available Monday thru Saturday 9am to 5pm EST. Contact us directly at 317-688-1100. Well see you on the showroom floor! https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/NDY/1287/1967-ford-mustang

Description:

Up for sale in our Detroit branch of Gateway Classic Cars is this highly customized, 1 owner, 1997 Dodge Ram 3500! This Ram has gone under a one of a kind build, the entire body of the car has been widened by a whole foot! There has been over 1,400 hours of work put into this miraculous build, there were no corners cut to constructing this machine. Many custom parts have been added to compensate for the widened body, like a 2-piece stretched windshield, custom built dashboard, widened hood and bed, and a 4-corner air ride system. The yellow paint on the car shows excellent and contrasts very well with the black racing stripes to give it that sporty look. The custom work flows into the black interior as well, with a widened glovebox and center console, there is plenty of room to sprawl out in this behemoth of a truck. Powering this Ram is the original 5.9L Cummins Diesel engine. Backing that powerplant is a recently rebuilt Weller 5-speed manual transmission. Other options on this custom 1997 Dodge Ram are A/C, CD, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, power mirrors, tilt wheel, leather interior, and more! This 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 can be seen in our Detroit Showroom, or for more detailed information including over 100 HD photos and an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com or call to speak with one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales staff @ 313-982-3100. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this numbers matching 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z28 RS for sale in the Indianapolis showroom. This gorgeous red exterior and black vinyl interior Z28 was frame off restored approximately 15 years ago at approximately 49,000 original miles. The current owner has put the remainder of the miles (it currently shows 49,576 miles) on the vehicle in the last 5 years. With a 302 cubic inch V8 coupled to a 4 speed manual transmission feeding a 12 bolt 4:11 Positraction rear, and Rally wheels wrapped in radials, the power brakes and power steering complete the factory configuration. This vehicle is documented by the NCRS and shows that the official production date was 04/05/1968. The original delivery dealer was dealer code 242 in zone 49. The name and address of that dealer is believed to be Hornbeck Chevrolet Inc in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. The Z28 performance package was designed (with further modifications) to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am series. It included a solid-lifter 302 V8, 4-speed transmission, power disc brakes, and two wide stripes down the hood and trunk lid. The Z28 option code was introduced in December 1966 for the 1967 model year. It was the brainchild of Vince Piggins, who conceived offering virtually race-ready Camaros for sale from any Chevrolet dealer. This option package was not mentioned in any sales literature, so it was unknown to most buyers. The Z28 option required power front disc brakes and a close-ratio Muncie 4-speed manual transmission (posi-traction was optional). It featured a 302 cu in (4.9 L) small-block V-8 engine, 3 stroke crankshaft with 4 bore, an aluminum intake manifold, and a 4-barrel vacuum secondary Holley carburetor of 780 cfm. The engine was designed specifically to race in the Trans Am series (which required engines smaller than 305 cu in (5.0 L). Advertised power of this engine was listed at 290 hp (216 kW). This is an under-rated figure. Chevrolet wanted to keep the horsepower rating at less than 1 hp per cubic inch, for various reasons (e.g. insurance and racing classes). The factory rating of 290 hp occurred at 5300 rpm, while actual peak for the high-revving 302 was closer to 360 hp (268 kW) (with the single four barrel carb) and 400 hp (298 kW) (with optional dual-four barrel carbs) at 6800-7000 rpm. The Z28 also came with upgraded suspension, racing stripes on the hood and trunk lid, 302 front fender emblems on the 67 and early 68 cars, and Z28 emblems in late 68 & 69. It was also possible to combine the Z28 package with the RS package. Only 602 Z28s were sold in 1967, along with approximately 100 Indianapolis Pace Car replicas. 7,199 Z28s were sold in 1968. The 1967 and 1968 Z28s did not have the cowl induction hood, optional on the 1969 Z28s. The 1967 Z28 received air from an open element air cleaner or from an optional cowl plenum duct attached to the side of the air cleaner that ran to the firewall and got air from the cowl vents. 15-inch rally wheels were included with Z28s while all other 1967-9 Camaros had 14-inch wheels. The origin of the Z28 nameplate came from the RPO codes - RPO Z28 was the code for the Special Performance Package. RPO Z27 was for the Super Sport package. To view this 1968 Camaro Z28, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a beautifully restored 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. This Sunfire Yellow roadster is powered by the numbers matching 327 350 HP engine and matched with a smooth shifting 4 speed manual transmission and back to a 3.55 rear gear with Posi Traction. The sound emitting from the side exhaust is intoxicating. The hardest part about driving this car is when you stop driving! It drives so well, sounds so good and looks amazing! The frame off restoration was completed in 2006 but has covered a very modest 3,922 miles since completion. Thanks to a very proud owner, the car has been very well cared for over the years and still looks very fresh. Complimenting the Sunfire Yellow paint is a Black soft top, Black vinyl interior and a set of American Racing Wheels wrapped in radial rubber. Power four wheel disc brakes offer confident braking and Power steering makes maneuvering an ease. The 350 horse 327 may be the best all round engine for 67. Great power with no solid lifters to adjust, no hot temperatures from a Big Block and a little less thirsty for fuel. The 3.55 gear ratio may also be the best all round gear ratio. You have good acceleration from a standstill and decent highway cruising. The Sunfire Yellow may not be the most common color, but sure is a breath of fresh air from all the red ones out there. And this is the original color for this Corvette. We cant tell you enough about how well this one drives. My co-workers literally had to drag me out of it! I wouldve been tickled pink to drive this beautiful Corvette all day long. For more information on this 1967 Corvette, call 618-271-3000 or swing by our St. Louis showroom for an up close viewing. Featuring forged pistons and rods, 278/285 hydraulic roller cam and CNC ported aluminum twin plug heads. It has EFI, 80mm throttle body, custom Detroit Muscle headers and a stainless FlowMaster exhaust/muffler system. Transferring this power to the rear wheels is a Chrysler 518 transmission built by Godfather Racing and a custom Detroit Muscle driveshaft. This is an all steel roadster from Hot Rods & Horsepower in MI (Dearborn Deuce). You will notice the steel hood, 32 Grille and stowaway convertible top. The bodywork and DuPont Hot Rod Black paint was completed by Shadowoods in MI and graphics done by Dennis Shephard. Gauges were done by SO-CAL Speed Shop in Pomona and Moon Equipment in Santa Fe Springs. Seats were done by Roadster Shop in IL and Willys Workshop completed the upholstery. It is finished in Pendleton Del Rio wool Indian blanket, python skin & camel wool highlights. The carpet is also wool. This was the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau Flagship Promotional Vehicle, commissioned to showcase Detroits automotive heritage. Designed by Chris Baum, the D-Rod, was built by Rick Dyer at Detroit Muscle with input from Ford, Chrysler and GM Executives. Chrysler provided a pre-production 392 CID V8, 525hp Hemi crate engine that was first shown at SEMA. Chrysler had Arrow Racing Engines release one of the first hand-built development engines for the D-Rod build. The transmission is a 4-speed Chrysler 518 automatic. The build also used a vast 32 Roadster aftermarket to create a high-performance vehicle that is truly a unique 32 Ford Roadster. Dearborn Deuce proved an all-steel 32 body with a disappearing top assembly. The frame is a Lobecks Deuce frame equipped with a 9-inch ford rear end, a Magnum 4-inch dropped tube axle, bobbed rear rails and four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. The interior includes an Ididit steering column and steering wheel. The D-Rod was built in 2007 and not only showcases the Detroit Automotive Heritage, it is a build that brings together the best of the hot-rod industry. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this truly one of a kind new (yes, new - read on) 1932 Ford Roadster. This car has a builder VIN, as it was made from the ground up by a team of master builders in Texas. It consists of an all steel body, covered in a unique - as in, you cant buy it or get it mixed (unless you buy this car, whereupon its builder will give you the paint recipe), custom-mixed PPG Global Cashmere brown paint, with Biscuit racing stripes and orange pinstriping outlining the racing stripes. It has Rootlib 25 louver side panels which open fully, along with its Rootlib hood, and custom-built rear body corners. Its frame consists of American Stamping frame rails, with a fully-boxed custom built center section chassis that has been stretched 1.5 at the front cross member. The chassis is pinched in the front and lowered one inch, and the frame rails have also been pinched at the rear to fit the two inch spreader bar. Its spreader bars front and rear are 1/4 inch polished stainless. This is a true builder car! However, its not all show...it has plenty of GO, too! Under the hood is a built GM Performance 300HP V8 Chevy crate motor, complete with a roller camshaft, 4 bolt main block, once piece rear main seal, and Vortec heads. This mighty mouse motor sends its twist out through a TKO 500 Five Speed Transmission, complete with an aluminum bellhousing, McLeod clutch and pressure plate, and McLeod heavy duty hydraulic throwout bearing. Aft of the 5-speed trans is a 2 4130 Cro-Moly custom built drive shaft that spins its Winters Quick Change polished rear end, with its mini V8 tapered side bells. With only minor effort, its easy to pull the gear set, reverse it, and reinsert it, and you can switch from its highway ratio (3.48:1) to its strip ratio (4.11:1) gears. Of course, once you get to triple-digit speed in seconds, youll want to feel comfortable that you can get back down to school zone speeds just as quickly. This car is made for that, with Wilwood disc brakes all four corners: this beauty has a Wilwood master cylinder providing more than sufficient grunt to its polished multi-piston calipers, which grab the drilled and slotted vented rotors. Up front, youll find a Posies front spring, Super Bell oval drilled aluminum polished axle, with Bilstein shocks; and out back, are fully adjustable Bilstein coil overs. Keeping this new old rod firmly glued to the pavement are some virtually new Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires, wrapped around some custom Budnik Maroc 3 wheels with satin centers and polished rims: l7xlO rears, l5x6 fronts. Underneath, youll find a handmade 2.5 stainless exhaust, dumping over the rear axle, and sounding plenty nasty when the tach is winding to redline. Inside, theres a custom Budnik steering wheel sitting atop an Ididit polished steering column. Its 32 dash has a custom-built recessed insert, and is complete with AutoMeter Cruiser AD Series gauges, including a fully-electronic speedo. The passengers can ride in comfort in its dark brown leather and tweed interior, complete with Lebaron Bonney Carpet and floor mats. When you want to go topless (and you will), it has a lift off top. Simply undo a couple of bolts, and lift the 304 stainless frame with its Hartz Stayfast cloth top right off. Youre sure to love its custom windshield, with the 3 chop of its polished stainless posts executed flawlessly. Its Hagen Fatty mirrors let you keep track of your blind spots (as if there were any to begin with). With all of this hand-crafting, one might think this was built for show only. However, this is no trailer or show queen: it was driven from Spring, TX to Los Angeles for the 50th Anniversary Roadster Show. It was displayed throughout the show by Alan Budnik Wheels, where it received a TON of attention due to acute precision and unique qualities, one of which was its unique color. As a matter of record, the color of this 1932 Roadster was picked by many top professionals as one of the best-looking color choices ever seen on a 1932. Note from its builder: As a professional street rod builder, we had two things in mind when we built our 32: First, build a dependable car that can be driven anywhere. Second, prove its reliability by driving it 3600 miles from Texas to the LA Roadster Show. And I must say, she definitely proved to be no trailer queen...Driving at 70-80 MPH and averaging 22 MPG of gas, we sailed through the rain, wind, heat, and cold...and lets not forget the pounding sands of the Mojave. In conclusion: Our final goal was to offer the car to someone who would appreciate the craftsmanship and the quality of a hand-built car. This Roadster is a dependable piece of art - a jewel in the eye of any collector. And guaranteed -- to turn the heads of anyone in the automotive industry. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this 1955 Chevrolet Apache for sale. This truck has had very extensive work done to it and is in extremely good condition. All the work has been performed by Ekstensive Metal Works. Ekstensive Metal Works is better known by their TV show name Texas Metal, which airs on the Velocity channel. Under and through the hood of this super clean truck is a Weiand supercharged 502 CID V8 that runs just as well as it looks. Sending the power to the rear end is a Turbo-400 three-speed transmission. The rear end is a 9 ford that is finished in a gloss black paint. The hood cut-out provides room for the blower and intake to stick through and gives a shaker hood feel to the front of the truck. The massive blower provides an intoxicating whine even when sitting at idle and rivals the volume of the already loud exhaust system which features electric cutouts that dump at the headers. Feeding the gigantic 6-71 blower are two Holley four-barrel carburetors that ensure this beauty doesn’t run out of fuel to burn when under full boost. The fuel is sent to the engine via a polished new fuel tank that enhances the underbody of the truck. Setting the stance of the truck are adjustable coil-over shocks. The truck sits atop polished alloy Intro brand wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tires. The front tires are 265/30 ZR22 and the rears are 405/25 ZR24. To put the rear tire size into perspective, the widest tires on a production car are on a Lamborghini Aventador SV... and theyre only 355mm wide. When it comes time to stop those massive tires, the driver will appreciate the drilled and slotted Willwood front and rear disc brakes with black painted calipers. Moving outward, the exterior of this truck is in near perfect condition. All the chrome is very nice and in like new condition. The Sierra Sand colored paint is in excellent shape with almost no blemishes or imperfections. The bed wood has been replaced and is in very good condition as well with a deep stain to accent the bed from the paint. Overall, the exterior of this truck is almost perfect. Moving inward, getting into the truck is made classy by the suicide doors. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will be greeted by light tan leather throughout and a tilt steering wheel. The doors feature a simple, yet elegant stitching pattern that reminds the driver that theyre in a very well-built resto-mod. The leather bucket seats are very comfortable and spacious. Sitting between the two seats is a leather wrapped center console that houses the shifter. The dash of the truck is paint matched to the body and is in just as good condition. This truck also features power brakes and steering for comfortable cruising. Tucked in the dash is a modern CD player/radio that adds to the modern comfort of this beauty. Overall, this is an extremely well-done truck and is probably one of the finest examples of a resto-mod Chevrolet Apache around.
