Description:

Up for sale in our Detroit Showroom is this gorgeous 1968 Plymouth GTX! The Plymouth GTX is an automobile introduced as the Belvedere GTX in 1967 by the Plymouth division. It was positioned as a mid-sized upscale-trimmed performance muscle car through the 1971 model year. Chrysler introduced major changes in the design of the 1968 model Plymouth B-bodies and the GTX was given a completely new look. A new hourglass body replaced the previous rectilinear design. The high performance 440 was standard in the GTX as was the TorqueFlite automatic transmission, while it was an extra cost option in the Road Runner. This show winning GTX is raring an ready to go! The engine is a standard 440cid V8 with high-lift cam, Carter AVS 4-barrel carburetor, cast iron headers, and more! Compression is 10.1:1 on that motor. The transmission is the standard, automatic TorqueFlite transmission. The Aqua paint on this car look fantastic and really shines in the sun! The standard vinyl interior still shows excellent as well. Original wheels on the car as well, wrapped in a nice set of Goodyear Eagle ST tires. Other options on this GTX include AM radio, spare tire, rally wheels, and more! This 1968 Plymouth GTX can be seen in our Detroit Showroom, or for more detailed information including over 100 HD photos and an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com or call to speak with one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales staff @ 313-982-3100. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this 1965 Pontiac GTO. This GTO is a great example of what American Muscle is all about. GTOs are what legends are made of and when the Pontiac GTO was introduced to America in September 1963, it created an entirely new market segment that sparked a reaction throughout the auto industry. Today we know that reaction as the muscle-car era. By 1966, all the domestic automobile manufacturers had their response to the GTO. Some were good, some were hastily slapped together, and others missed the mark altogether. It could be argued that none of them possessed the combination of performance, style, image, and affordability of the GTO. This fully documented original YS Code 389 CID V8 with only a little over 31K miles. The engine is mated to T400 automatic transmission. This combination is the one you want and really puts the power to the pavement. The motor was rebuilt last year and has new motor mounts , new oil pan, new high pressure oil pump, new lifters, new freeze plugs , new mild cam, new mechanical fuel pump, new chrome power steering pump, new chrome 200 amp alternator, all polished aluminum billet style pulleys, new Edelbrock aluminum intake, new Holley Carb, Custom GTO valve covers, HEI electronic ignition. This car also features new Vintage Air AC, new high flow aluminum radiator with electric fans, new 1 “sway bar, new coils and front and rear shock. This Beautiful Red GTO is riding on custom Foose wheels and has power steering and brakes. Some nice upgrades include the MSD 6AL ignition, tubular headers w/ dual flow master exhaust. This GTO looks very aggressive in beautiful Red with Black vinyl interior and is going to get attention wherever you go. If you are looking for the iconic muscle car that started it all, this GTO is ready for your collection. This is the one you want to own. Grab hold of the 3 speed Hurst shifter and let loose the ponies inside the 400 V8. The Oldsmobile 4-4-2 (also known as the 442) is a muscle car produced by Oldsmobile between the 1964 and 1980 model years. Introduced as an option package for US-sold F-85 and Cutlass models, it became a model in its own right from 1968 to 1971, spawned the formidable Hurst/Olds in 1968, then reverted to an option through the mid-1970s. The name was revived in the 1980s on the rear-wheel drive Cutlass Supreme and early 1990s as an option package for the new front-wheel drive Cutlass Calais. The 4-4-2 name (pronounced Four-four-two) derives from the original cars four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual exhausts. It was originally written 4-4-2 (with badging showing hyphens between the numerals), and remained hyphenated throughout Oldsmobiles use of the designation. Beginning in 1965, the 4-4-2s standard transmission was a 3-speed manual along with optional 2 speed automatic or 4 speed manual, but were still badged as 4-4-2s. By 1968 badging was shortened to simply 442, but Oldsmobile brochures and internal documents continued to use the 4-4-2 model designation. The 1966 4-4-2 shared a modest facelift with other Cutlasses. It came with a 400 CID L78 V8 rated at 350 HP 440 lb-ft with a single four-barrel carburetor. Two new optional 400 ci engines offered even higher performance: the 360 HP L69, with three two-barrel Rochester 2GC carburetors on a progressive linkage and 440 HP of torque, which was priced at US$264.54, and the rare W30. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this cool 1964 Dodge Polara. The Dodge Polara was an automobile introduced in the United States for the 1960 model year as Dodges top-of-the-line full-size car; after the introduction of the Dodge Custom 880 in 1962, the Polara nameplate designated a step below the full sized best trimmed Dodge model; the Polara that year had been downsized to what was in effect intermediate, or mid-size status. In its various forms, the Polara name was used by Dodge until 1973, when its position in Dodges line-up was replaced by the Dodge Monaco. The name Polara is a reference to the Polaris star, in a marketing attempt to appeal to the excitement surrounding the Space Race during the early 1960s. The Polara was a competitor to the Ford Galaxie 500 and the Chevrolet Impala. The 1964 models received a revised front end and new tail lamps to distinguish them from the 1963 cars. Rear end treatment took its inspiration from the Chevrolet Impala, the Polara models now featuring six small, square-shaped taillights (three on each side) surrounded by an attractive bright trim panel. Lesser mid-size Dodges featured only four taillights (two on each side) and lacked the bright trim panel. A sensational new C pillar for the hardtop coupes, combined with the more attractive front and rear end styling, made the 64s look totally new (and longer/ lower/wider as well), resulting in a significant increase of sales over 1963. The Polara 500 continued as Dodges sporty mid-size model, competing with the full-size Ford Galaxie 500/XL and Chevrolets Impala Super Sport, featuring an engine-turned anodized aluminum trim strip along the cars flanks, bucket seats and deluxe vinyl upholstery. This 1964 Dodge Polara is equipped with a 440ci Max wedge motor sporting two huge carbs and uses a 727 torqueflight transmission and a suregrip rear end to put the power to the pavement. This 1964 Polara has been upgraded with: ANA intake manifold, steel crankshaft, balanced rods, 440 source roller rockers, heads ported and chambered, low compression pistons, high volume oil pump, high volume oil pan, oil windscreen, oil pan baffle, high output Powermaster alternator, large drive shaft, vinyl interior, and disc front brakes. Whether you are cruising around town or out drag racing your buddies in their Camaro’s and Stangs, this Polara is sure to hold its own on the road. Options on this beautiful 1964 Dodge Polara include: Power steering, seat belts, vinyl interior, and radial tires. This awesome 1964 Dodge Polara is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
