Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas welcomes this 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible! The Ford car was thoroughly updated in 1941, in preparation for a time of unpredictability surrounding World War II. The 1941 design would continue in an aborted 1942 model year and would be restarted in 1946 and produced until 1948 when the more modern 1949 Fords were ready. During the initial year of this car, it evolved considerably. The front fenders came in three pieces, the theory being that small damages could be replaced easily. During the year, it evolved into two pieces with the lower front and back sections being joined. The hood risers changed, the early ones being the same as 1940 Fords, changing during the year to the better later version. The 1941 Convertible had no rear side windows, the only side windows being in the doors; This is thought to be the first Ford to offer an oil filter. It had a radio, which could consume the battery in about two hours. Electric windshield wipers were available in addition to the vacuum-powered wipers. It served a transitional role in Fords lineup The ignition key for these cars was actually used to operate a bolt lock which, on one end, unlocked the steering column (a feature destined to return, mandated, decades later), and on the other end unblocked the ignition switch, allowing it to be operated. Starting the car was then accomplished by pressing a pushbutton on the dashboard. the Flathead 85HP V8 with 3 Speed Manual on the column is a delight to drive, as she will cruise at 60 without issue. This Beautiful Maroon on Maroon Deluxe is eye catching and is offered for sale by our Dallas Showroom. It can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and a HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1973 Chevrolet Corvette! In 1967 Chevrolet made a major overhaul to the Corvette brand when they unveiled the all new C3 corvette for the 1968 model year. The Mako Shark II design for the car was conceived by Larry Shinoda. The C3 corvette was produced all the way until 1982. For those 14 years Chevrolet would make many changes, many of which were suggestions from their customer base. Here we have a 1973 model. As you walk around the car youll notice the Crystal White PPG paint is absolutely stunning. It looks to have a pearl finish to it that when the light hits it just right it takes your breath away! The black leather interior looks great. Under the hood is the original numbers matching 350ci V8 engine she was born with! Power is ran down through a 3-speed automatic transmission. The paint was stripped under the current owner and the seats reupholstered. Front end was rebuilt and all new brake and master cylinder. Also stainless steel headers and pipe along with new radiator, alternator, and new interior door panels all were added. The current owner has had her for over 6 years and is believed to be the 3rd owner. If you want to stand out and not just from the other corvettes around you need to take a hard look at this lady. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! Options on this Corvette are: A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Leather Seats, Tilt Wheel, AM/FM/CD Radio, T-Tops, Rally Wheels, and Radial Tires. Description:

Gateway Classic Cras of Detroit is proud to offer this 1999 Plymouth Prowler for sale. The Plymouth Prowler, later the Chrysler Prowler, is a retro-styled production car manufactured and marketed from 1997 to 2002 by DaimlerChrysler, based on the 1993 concept car of the same name. The Prowler was offered in a single generation in a front-engine, rear-drive, rear-transmission configuration — with an overall production of 11,702. 1999 had the highest production numbers of 3,921. Chrysler engineers were given free rein to design whatever they wanted in a hot rod or sportster type vehicle. Chryslers design and international director Thomas C. Gale said his love for 1930s-era hot rods inspired Chryslers latest design triumph, the retro-styled Plymouth Prowler. Gale, who has a hotted up 1932 Ford in his garage approved the hotrod-inspired Plymouth Prowler as the companys follow-up show-stopper to the Dodge Viper. An early influence is credited to a Chrysler-sponsored project at the Art Center College of Design. This resulted in a thesis by Douglas Chip Foose, which included drawings of a retro-roadster. Foose designed it as a coupe for Chrysler to begin with but modified it to a roadster version. One of the most striking design features of the Prowler is the open, Indy racer-style front wheels. The Prowler featured a powertrain from Chryslers LH-cars, a 24-valve, 3.5 L Chrysler SOHC V6 engine producing 214 hp (160 kW; 217 PS) at 5850 rpm. For the 1999 model year, the engine was replaced with a more powerful, aluminum-block, 253 hp (189 kW; 257 PS) at 6400 rpm version of the engine. Both engines were coupled to a four-speed Autostick automatic transmission. The transmission was located at the rear of the vehicle and joined to the engine by a torque tube that rotated at engine speed, an arrangement similar to that used by the C5 Corvette, Porsche 944, and Alfa Romeo 75, and helped to facilitate a desirable 50-50 front-rear weight distribution. The Prowler was the first rear-wheel drive Plymouth since the 1989 Plymouth Gran Fury and would stand as the last Plymouth model with that layout. While criticized for having only a V6 engine, Chryslers High Output 3.5 had a horsepower rating similar to (or higher than) the companys Magnum V8s of that era. While not making nearly as much torque as a V8, Prowlers lightweight helped to achieve rapid off-the-line acceleration. The car prominently featured aluminum construction, in many cases adhesively bonded, chiefly in the chassis. The body was produced in Shadyside, Ohio, and the car was assembled by hand at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant (CAAP) in Detroit, Michigan. This beautiful 2-owner example comes with great standard equipment like A/C, AM/FM/CD stereo, Manual Convertible top, Power Brakes, Power steering, Power door locks, Power windows, Anti-Lock brakes, Tilt wheel, Leather interior and radial tires. This 1999 Plymouth Prowler is in our Detroit Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this gorgeous, Highland Green and Gold 1968 Ford Torino GT Convertible. Styling was drastically changed from the 1967 Fairlane models, resulting in growth in size and weight. The front fascia featured a full width recessed grille, with horizontal quad headlights placed at the outer edges. Horizontal dividing bars were featured in the grille depending on the model. Parking lights were placed at the outer edge of the front fenders and wrapped around the corner to also act as side marker lights to meet the new 1968 requirements. The body sides were smooth with one horizontal body crease running just below the beltline from front to back. The taillights were rectangular in shape and vertically situated in the rear panel above rear bumper. Reverse lights were located in the middle of the taillights, and small side marker lights were located on the rear edge of the quarter panel. The top level Torino series, which consisted of a 2-door hardtop, a 4-door sedan, and the Squire station wagon that featured wood grained applique. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer for sale this snazzy Grabber Blue 1972 Ford Mustang Convertible. Compared to 1971 production, in 1972 Mustang production dropped by over 25,000 cars. There were 57,350 coupes built, 27,675 were the Fastback Mach 1, 18,045 of the coupe Grande were produced, followed by 16,622 of the standard Fastback. The convertible production was lowest by far at only 6,121 units. This 1972 Mustang convertible appears very original, with the primary exception being the fact that the door data tag indicates it was originally Wimbledon White (code 9A). However, the Grabber Blue paint has been done so skillfully that one would be very hard pressed to tell that this Mustang may have had a color change. The addition of the Mach 1 style stripes further enhances the visual appeal of this Mustang. With what appears to be its original 2BBL-carburetor-equipped 302 CID V8 and C4 3-speed automatic transmission and 3.00:1 rear axle (code 6), this 72 is definitely a time capsule. The ComfortWeave white knitted vinyl seats (code CW) are a match for what is listed on the data plate, and they look super for being 48 years old. The black portions of the interior (dash, console, and carpeted surfaces) all have either been updated or have had very caring owners who did their best to keep this car in such good shape (we surmise the latter). The white automatic convertible top is the correct color and has also been very well looked after. This Grabber Blue Pony is riding on a set of Magnum 500 style chromed wheels which are also in great condition, and the BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires in sizes P235/60R15 up front and P245/60/R15 at the rear provide a good look and stable ride. A true dual exhaust adds a bit of muscular rumble, and the big chrome tips look just right. Occupants will appreciate the factory air conditioning (if the top is ever put up in warmer weather, that is), and the owner will be glad to know that the A/C has already been converted to use the now-required R134a refrigerant. Additional features and options on this 1972 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale include AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Seat Belts, Spare Tire and Jack, and Vinyl Interior.
