Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1987 Lincoln Mark VII Coupe! Ford had good success out of their fox platform used on the likes of the Thunderbird, Cougar, Fairmont and Zephyr. Also used for the Continental Series that brings its use into the Mark VII. Here is a factory LSC (Luxury Sport Coupe) converted to C&C Series. More on that shortly. Walking around the car the paint is in good shape, expected blemishes here and there. The camel leather interior is sharp, very nice shape. This Mark VII presents well. Under the hood is a 5.0L V8 and offers an automatic transmission. Outside of all the factory options on this LSC it has actually received the Series 938 designation which is the C&C Series GTC. That stands for Component & Concepts Grand Touring Coupe. The conversion includes the following: complete monochromatic paint scheme, lower body side panels, extended rear valance panels, front air dam, GTC Vehicle Identification, and factory wheels painted body color. MSRP for the conversions was $4,995. Current owner acquired this car from a private sale and has had it for over 30 years! Carfax shows clean history, no accidents and shows good maintenance records. Only items known not operating normally are passenger window doesnt go down very far and the sunroof could use a new seal. She looks like a great new addition to your collection! You dont see many LSC conversions to GTC by C&C, rarer car for sure! Options on this Mark VII are: A/C, Power Steering/Brakes, Leather Interior, Power Seats/Windows/Locks, Sunroof, AM/FM/Cassette Radio, Anti-theft system, and alloy wheels. This 1987 Lincoln Mark VII GTC C&C is offered by our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Our Nashville showroom digitally showcases this stunning 1955 Chevrolet Corvette, This 55 Corvette for sale is sporting a beautiful Pennant Blue coat of paint with a tan interior. The Body lines on this C1 for sale are stunning and remind us all of the obsession of the time being rockets. Flash Gordon, Rocket man and many other TV shows and toys, all had been somewhat influenced by rockets. One look at this car and it becomes crystal clear that it too, took styling ques from the rocket. Smooth body lines and rocket style fins, this car looks like it is doing 95MPH while it is sitting still. Under the hood is a 265 Cubic inch V8 that churns out a whopping 195 horsepower! But that is all you need in a light weight fiberglass car that is really more about fun than fast. Sitting behind the V8 is a two speed powerglide automatic transmission that is sweet for cruising the back-country roads or barreling down Route 66. This is the car test pilots took home after a day strapped in to a rocket engine with stubby wings that we now refer to as Fighter jets. Two seats, V8, two speeds and one drop top that equals a whole lot of fun. Options for this 1955 Corvette for sale feature: Manual convertible top, Hub caps, Vinyl interior and white wall tires. This 1955 Corvette for sale can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com for more information please call the showroom at 615-213-1800 or email us at nashville@gatewayclassiccars.com Sale held pursuant to permit No. 19289 of department of licenses granted the 14th day of August 2015.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a stunning 1939 Plymouth Road King P-8 street rod. This award winning street rod has been beautifully assembled with help from some of the best in the business. This all steel 39 has been professionally stripped and prepped for one of the nicest black paintjobs you will find. The body modifications are subtle, such as removing side vents, bumpers and mounts removed, and the addition of a custom rear roll pan which houses the single exhaust outlet. The body style is so beautiful, there is no need to chop or channel, by simply smoothing and simplifying, a custom looking body is the result. This sedan sits on its original chassis that has been modified to accommodate a Mustang II front suspension and air ride and has been powder coated for durability. The Mustang II setup is from Lakeshore Fabrication which features air ride, Heidts 2 drop spindles, and Unisteer steering. The brakes are supplied by Wilwood and are drilled and slotted disc in all four corners. The rear suspension features a 4 bar setup with air ride. The rear end is a 9 Ford with a 3.26 final drive ratio and limited slip. The Plymouth sits on one off Foose wheels, 18 in front and 20 in the rear wrapped in Nitto tires. Under the hood is a hot LS2 GM crate engine. These LS engines have become the go-to for street rodders looking for a powerful and reliable drive train. The LS2 is mostly stock but does have a custom made air intake which utilizes a classic style air cleaner from a 56 Buick Nailhead. To stay true to the car, custom valve covers have been made as well to sport the Plymouth name. The LS2 breathes through Sanderson headers and dual exhaust that exits through a center outlet. The transmission is a 4L80-E automatic with overdrive. The interior is very tastefully done with saddle leather throughout. Wood grain on the dash and window surrounds give a classy look as well as the original steering wheel. Modern comforts like power seat and air conditioning are nicely integrated so they dont look out of place. To quench your thirst during those summer month car shows, the center console doubles as a drink cooler which drains to the outside. The air compressor and battery are nicely hidden behind a panel in the beautifully finished trunk. The entire interior features square weave carpet which adds to the classy look. Overall class and refinement has been kept in mind when building this street rod. Theres no flames, or TV screens, or gaudy colors. The Plymouth still has the spirit of the original car, with the comfort, and performance of a modern car. You can see this 1939 Plymouth Road King P-8 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an award winning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible. I will go ahead and say this; no manufacturer will ever make a convertible as pleasing as this again. 1957 was the last year of the second generation body style for the Bel Air. It seems as if they stopped because they knew it couldnt get any better. In 57, Chevrolet introduced the 283 CID V8 engine that produced 283 HP. The option of a fuel injected engine was available and is quite rare these days. This Bel Air offers 220HP 4-Barrel carbureted 283 V8 engine that is backed by an automatic transmission. Both are numbers matching and original to the car. The odometer reads 2,843, which represents the mileage since the frame off restoration was complete. Boasting its original colors, the Chevy shows beautifully in gloss black and is surrounded by chrome. Looking inside the red and silver interior takes you right back to the 50s. Have a seat, turn the key, and operate the automatic convertible top switch and youll be wondering why havent you done this before? The red and silver vinyl interior is paired well with a white convertible top. Options for this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible include: Wonderbar AM Radio, Two Tone Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Antenna, Tissue Dispenser, Flameout Vacuum Ashtray, Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Knock-Off Style Hub Caps. The ’57 Chevy is one of the most recognized icons in the Automotive industry. Stylish and Sporty the there’s no doubt that it’s one of America’s best and most loved cars. This 57 Bel Air convertible was awarded the VCCA 1st Place Junior Gold Award in 2011, where it scored 984 out of a possible 1000 points. In 2012 it was awarded the AACA Senior National 1st prize and the Peoples Choice award at the Concours d Elegance in Hilton Head Island, SC. Heres the chance of owning a piece of American history that still serves a purpose. Put on the white rimmed sunglasses and enjoy. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this one-of-a-kind 1955 Chevrolet Apache. This truck has had very extensive work done to it and is in extremely good condition. All the work has been performed by Ekstensive Metal Works. Ekstensive Metal Works is better known by their TV show name Texas Metal, which airs on the Velocity channel. Under and through the hood of this super clean truck is a Weiand supercharged 502 CID V8 that runs just as well as it looks. Sending the power to the rear end is a Turbo-400 three-speed transmission. The rear end is a 9 ford that is finished in a gloss black paint. The hood cut-out provides room for the blower and intake to stick through and gives a shaker hood feel to the front of the truck. The massive blower provides an intoxicating whine even when sitting at idle and rivals the volume of the already loud exhaust system which features electric cutouts that dump at the headers. Feeding the gigantic 6-71 blower are two Holley four-barrel carburetors that ensure this beauty doesn’t run out of fuel to burn when under full boost. The fuel is sent to the engine via a polished new fuel tank that enhances the underbody of the truck. Setting the stance of the truck are adjustable coil-over shocks. The truck sits atop polished alloy Intro brand wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tires. The front tires are 265/30 ZR22 and the rears are 405/25 ZR24. To put the rear tire size into perspective, the widest tires on a production car are on a Lamborghini Aventador SV... and theyre only 355mm wide. When it comes time to stop those massive tires, the driver will appreciate the drilled and slotted Willwood front and rear disc brakes with black painted calipers. Moving outward, the exterior of this truck is in near perfect condition. All the chrome is very nice and in like new condition. The Sierra Sand colored paint is in excellent shape with almost no blemishes or imperfections. The bed wood has been replaced and is in very good condition as well with a deep stain to accent the bed from the paint. Overall, the exterior of this truck is almost perfect. Moving inward, getting into the truck is made classy by the suicide doors. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will be greeted by light tan leather throughout and a tilt steering wheel. The doors feature a simple, yet elegant stitching pattern that reminds the driver that theyre in a very well-built resto-mod. The leather bucket seats are very comfortable and spacious. Sitting between the two seats is a leather wrapped center console that houses the shifter. The dash of the truck is paint matched to the body and is in just as good condition. This truck also features power brakes and steering for comfortable cruising. Tucked in the dash is a modern CD player/radio that adds to the modern comfort of this beauty. Overall, this is an extremely well-done truck and is probably one of the finest examples of a resto-mod Chevrolet Apache around. To see all the HD pictures and video, please go to http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1094/1955-chevrolet-apache. For even more information on this 1955 Chevrolet Apache located in our Houston showroom, come by and see us or contact the showroom at (832) 243-6220, or email the showroom at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

For sale in Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this 1981 Mercedes Benz-380SL. In 1980, Mercedes-Benz revamped its SL lineup of sporting luxury convertibles with the introduction of the 380SL. The 380 was an enhancement of the R107 chassis, which was first used in 1972 by the 350SL and then by the 450SL. This was an extremely popular model in the U.S. for its combination of V-8 power, refined luxury and sporty underneath carriage. The 380-SL was a lighter then its predecessor 450-SL, a 120 pounds lighter to be exact. Thus, it’s new V-8 3.8 liter engine was plenty of power for these vehicles. The new engine was designed with emissions controls in mind while the 450SL’s mill was not, which meant that the two engines were relatively equal in terms of power (155 hp in the 380SL vs. 160 hp in the 450SL) despite the difference in their displacements. Performance was similar for the two cars, as was fuel economy. This 1981 Mercedes Benz 380 SL has been family owned and passed down for over 25 years. All the paint has held up very well over the years. The interior is all original and pops with a bit of woodgrain installed in the dash. Another real stand out feature on this vehicle is those Dayton spoked wired wheels! Most certainly is going to catch anyone’s eye who sees them. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. The Cadillac Allanté is a two-door, two-seater roadster marketed by Cadillac from 1987 until 1993, with just over 21,000 built during its seven-year production run. With just a little over 3100 produced in 1990, this one is in the most pristine condition today. Cadillac commissioned the designer of past Ferrari & Rolls-Royce models to tackle the job of designing the Allanté. This one has its original bright red paint that is in excellent condition. The owner has also replaced the water pump, converted the AC to R134a, added a new AC compressor, & much more! Description:

Now for sale in our Milwaukee showroom is this unique 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. Between the sharp C4 lines and the relatively low mileage, this car will make an excellent driver. 1984 was the first year of the C4 body style. The C4 corvette brought back more powerful engines and the convertible option to the cars. This generation of corvette was also the first to have the Glass hatchback to allow for convenient storage in the rear. Braking was improved with aluminum calipers and new rotors. In the rear, the suspension was updated with a Fiberglass mono-leaf instead of a traditional leaf spring. Powering this sleek ride is a 5.7-liter Crossfire V8 that was good for 205 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. This power helped accelerate the car to 60 MPH in a little over 6 seconds when new. Sending the V8 power to the rear wheels is a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive that shifts smoothly through the gears. Overall this car runs well and would be a good driver or weekend cruiser. Moving outward, this sleek ride is finished with unique striping and multicolor Chameleon clearcoat. It’s a 1996 World of Wheels winner, and was awarded best-in-show in multiple shows over the years. Upon entering the interior, the driver will feel very comfortable thanks to the power leather seats which feature lumbar support. This car is loaded with amenities such as power mirrors, power windows, power brakes, power steering and power locks. In the summer months, the driver will appreciate the removable glass top that allows for plenty of sunshine and fresh air. When it comes time to listen to some driving music, the sound system in this car is sure to impress. This Corvette is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com; call (262) 891-4253 or email us at milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this cool 1988 Chevrolet 1500. Planning for the GMT400 began in the early 1980s. Production development for this body style began in early 1984 and were introduced in April 1987 as 1988 models as the GMT400 platform, and their nickname: OBS (Old Body Style). There were eight different versions of the C/K line for 1988. Fleetside Single Cab, and Fleetside Extended Cab, were the first chevy trucks to be available with this type of cab version, and the 1973 to 1987 C10s and C20s where only available with a single cab. Fleetside Crew Cab, and Stepside Single Cab models, each in either 2WD (C) or 4WD (K) drive-lines were also available. All C/K models would ride on independent front suspension. Three trim levels were available: Cheyenne, Scottsdale, and Silverado. Engines were a 160 hp (119 kW) 4.3 L V6, a 175 hp (130 kW) 5.0 L V8, a 210 hp (157 kW) 5.7 L V8 and a 6.2 L diesel V8. A 230 hp (172 kW) 7.4 L V8 was available in the 3/4-ton and one-ton trucks. Most of the powertrain were a carryover from the 1987 R/V with fuel injection. To enhance durability the trucks featured extensive use of galvanized steel for corrosion resistance and a fully welded frame with a boxed front section for strength and rigidity.[71] During the development of the GMT400 platform GM designers based their prototypes on the compact GMT325 S-series (S10 and S15/Sonoma) - upon the official release the GMT400 were the first GM vehicles to use an electronic speedometer, and a serpentine accessory drive. This awesome edition of the 1988 Chevrolet 1500 is running a 5.7 V8 and an Automatic Transmission. The custom leather interior in this truck is very nice and is a huge upgrade from the original cloth. The original stereo has been switched out for an aftermarket CD player. Gateway Classic Cars is happy to present this 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III here in our Houston Showroom. This 2 door Mark III just screams class, as it has been meticulously cared for and maintained over its life. Dressed in a beautiful shiny white paint, this Mark IIIs long body lines gleam in the sun. This is a 2-owner car with the original owner being the grandmother of the current owner. It simply didn’t get enough driving time through the recent years and was stored away for about 6 years then brought back to life in August of 2017. Lucky for its future owner the 460 Cubic Inch V8 engine powering the classic ride has been carefully gone through to ensure a solid driving car in August of 2017 and only has around 150 miles on it since the rebuild. The engine is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts itself through the gear with no issue. The fuel tank was completely cleaned out along with the fuel lines, filter, and fuel level float as well. Some other beneficial restoration work that was done was a new fuel pump, carburetor rebuild, and fluids flushed then topped off. The 1970 Mark III was the first American made car to have radial tires as standard equipment. This Lincoln is a perfect car for any collector, enthusiast, or someone looking to join the classic car world. From wood grain to the stainless trim, it is really something to sit in and be surrounded by 70s American luxury. If youre not into running the A/C, then just hit the dual action power window switch and let the fresh air in as you cruise around town in this smooth floating ride.
