Factory L88 with rare Factory Side Pipes. Color Change, Should be Burgundy, currently Black.

1969 Factory L88 Corvette

This is a documented Factory L88. This is a known L88 that was in California for most of its life and was discovered about 8 years ago. This car is documented by the Original Protect-O-Plate. This L88 is a rare Factory Side Pipe car!

The car is currently painted Black, but the original color is Burgundy. The chassis was done one time before by the previous owner, but it is a great candidate for a restoration. The body is a solid body with no visible damage. The car has been inspected by one of the L88 experts whom is also a 400+ level NCRS Master Judge. The interior of the car is great and would not have to be touched. The chassis was done a long time ago, but would need to be redone if you were to show the car through NCRS or Bloomington. The car when it was completed by its previous owner was put back to be more streetable, so it does drive fairly well. Overall a great car and a great investment opportunity, especially if you can do the work yourself.

2006 EX-Corvette Z06

The Corvette Z06 arrived as a 2006 model in the third quarter of 2005. The newest Z06 followed its predecessors from 1963 and 2001-2004 as the most track focused model, offered from Corvette. The Z06 was equipped with the largest-displacement small block ever produced by GM, a new 7.0L engine code-named LS7. The LS7 produced 505 HP and was the most powerful naturally aspirated engine put into a production car from General Motors at the time. In addition to the larger displacement engine, the Corvette Z06 has a dry sump oiling system, and connecting rods made out of titanium alloy. The Z06's body features larger front and rear fenders and an intake inlet scoop on the front bumper. The front fenders are constructed with carbon fiber and the rear fenders contain ducts to aid in cooling the rear brakes.

This Z06 carries experimental serial number 1G1YY22Y3650016EX - the first Z06 ever built at the Bowling Green, KY assembly plant on February 4, 2005.

In March of 2005, it was instrumented and retrofitted with safety equipment at the Milford Proving Grounds in Michigan. In June 2005, it topped 200 MPH on the Autobahn with Tony Rifici behind the wheel. The same month, this Corvette underwent Nurburgring testing and development, recording a lap time of 7:42.99 from a standing start with driver Jan Magnussen. Jan would memorialize this time by signing the center consoled with the time.

During the Nurburgring testing, many photos of the car appeared in automotive magazines, Car and Driver suggested it was the “CORVETTE FROM HELL” (in the best for ways). This car was photographed and appeared “airborne” on the “Ring”. In July 2005, Jan Magnussen gave rides to the press during a long-lead press show. The Z06 underwent more testing at the Virginia International Raceway and Spring Mountain in late 2006, this time with Johnny O'Connell behind the wheel and a focus on thermal and brake cooling development.

After years of testing to develop the Z06, this Z06 was then used by Corvette Chief Engineer Tom Wallace for track events in 2006 – 2008. As the years passed, this EX-Z06 was used again for development of the ZR-1 front fascia and radiator. Development of these components utilized hours of wind-tunnel testing and high speed runs at the Milford Proving Ground straightway to finalize production components. In early 2008, this Z06 had a complete driveline refresh by GM.

This Z06 was formerly part of the GM Heritage collection, based outside of Detroit. The private GM owned collection houses some of the most iconic styling and developmental cars built by GM. “Each of the vehicles in the Collection illustrates a design, technical or sales milestone or accomplishment in the history of General Motors or automotive history.” – GM Heritage website. Upon retirement from service in GM this Z06 joined that fabled collection for a few years. When GM went through their financial troubles during the great recession, they were forced to liquidate a large portion of their collection. Shortly thereafter, the Z06 joined a private collection in the Midwest for over a decade. It has been displayed publicly on numerous occasions and even enjoyed a track day or two. This Z06 is a great option for a track car with Corvette Racing history or in a private collection as an investment!

Included with this experimental Z06 Corvette is over 200+ photos of the build and delivery process. Additional documents from the purchase of this vehicle at the time of previous sale are included.

Mid America Motorworks' involvement with professional Corvette racing began in 1987 with the SCCA Escort Endurance Championship. The Championship had about a dozen teams, fielding over 25 cars in the SS class. Sometimes this seven-race endurance series would have up to 20 Corvettes entering each race event. Mid America partnered with Bakeracing in this Corvette and its sister, the #4. Between Corvette #5 and its running mate #4, six of the seven victories were won by Bakeracing and his Yellow Corvettes. This Corvette was raced in what was considered “showroom stock” form with some modifications for safety. Kim Baker, a master strategist, as well as driver and car builder, installed a variety of 350 TPI engines, each purpose-built with the length of each endurance event in mind—5, 12 or 24 hours. This Corvette is one of two built by Kim Baker and Bakeracing for the Escort Series. It ran at the Sears Point, Portland, Brainerd, Mosport, Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio and Sebring tracks in 1987. After helping the Mid America-Bakeracing Team capture the National Title in 1987 bringing home six of seven Escort Endurance Series victories, the car was sold and disappeared for nine years. Then in 1996, while attending a Mid America Motorworks Corvette Touring Challenge race, Mike Yager rediscovered and purchased the #5 from a series driver. He then sent it to Kim Baker for a comprehensive restoration to 1987 racing specifications. You now see it as it drove to victory in the 24 Hour Race at Mosport Track in Canada in 1987. The number 5 Corvette was driven by Mitch Wright and Shawn Hendricks. Corvette wins at the 1985, 1986 and 1987 Escort Endurance Championships led to the creation of The Corvette Challenge, a race where the Corvette was classed in a series by itself. It also enjoyed a successful SCCA Club Racing history after the Escort Series.

This car is perfect for any track event or historic event. It is very easy to run and a reliable easy car to drive. Own a piece of Corvette race history.

-Built by General Motors Works Corvette Racing Team.
-1 of 1 Katech 8.2 Liter V8 Naturally Aspirated Cars built
-Built specifically for the Corvette Racing photographer
-1 Off BBS Centerlock Wheels
-Hand Made Carbon Fiber Body similar to the C6R GT1 Race Car

In 2007 General Motors & Chevrolet approached Pratt & Miller about building a special street version of one of the most successful GT1 cars, the Corvette C6R. The C6RS was born and was the only factory authorized post factory build of the C6 Corvette.

The C6RS was as close to the C6R GT1 car as one could be for the street. The cars started out life as production C6 ZO6's; but were quickly transformed into a road going C6R. 7 of these cars were constructed in total. They debuted the C6RS at the SEMA show and Jay Leno was the first proud new owner.

These cars were built with unbelievable quality and attention to detail. Pratt & Miller hand-made Carbon Fiber body panels, similar waterfall hood to the race car and louvered fenders, wider rear fenders, custom BBS center-lock wheels similar to the C6R. Custom air ride suspension and a custom leather wrapped roll bar.

The interior of this specific car sports a 1 off custom “Caravaggio” Alcantara and Leather with yellow stitching with electric power carbon fiber bucket seats.

The powertrain on this specific chassis is a one-off 8.2ltr built by Katech and pumping out over 600hp. It is mated to a T-56 six-speed manual.

This car is extremely docile to drive on the street and allows you to cruise on the freeway or carve up the countryside. Don't worry about stopping power as it has custom Brembo Brakes to stop this beast.

This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of General Motors and Corvette Racing History at a mere fraction of the price of a GT1 car and you can drive it on the street.

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this monstrous 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Packing 632 cubic inches of aluminum big block V8 muscle, this Camaro is all business. Making a dyno-proven 950+ horsepower at a stratospheric 6,800 RPM and over 780lbs of torque from 4,600-6,400 RPMS... on pump gas, this Camaro takes off like a rocket and won’t stop for anything. Anything except the lightweight Strange disc brakes placed on all 4 corners of this Cortez Silver machine. All of that power has to go somewhere, and the Rossler transmission eats it up with pleasure. A plethora of high-end names went into the build of this adrenaline-pumping piece of Americana; Dart, BME, Diamond, Strange, Precision Performance, and Billet Specialties to name a few. The interior has been kept largely stock, with the exception of a 5-point harness, roll cage, and an Autometer Tachometer. Other than the beautiful Billet Specialties alloy rims, the average onlooker would have no idea how much performance was hiding in this beautiful Chevy. The unibody design on the Camaro helps shave weight off, and has kept the the model in the spotlight for performance enthusiasts for a long time, but unfortunately keeping the materials to a minumum makes the chassis more prone to flexing. This Camaro has been fully outfitted with a Smith Racecar tubular front subframe sub frame with a motor plate and a 6-point chromoly roll cage and sub frame connectorsto keep the chassis stiffer than a marble slab. With a bulletproof driveline, a monstrous V8, and a factory-located full-sized gas tank, this is the perfect stoplight dragster, “Drag Week” contender, or cruise night trophy-winner. Options include: Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Racing Wheels with Radial Tires, and a Posi Traction rear axle (Ford 9”). For more information on this incredibly well built 1969 Chevrolet Camaro contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. Now available in the DFW Showroom, Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this RARE 2015 COPO Camaro! Thats right, 1 of 69 made that year and its available to be yours! This is Chassis #10. Copos Legacy: COPOs second coming builds on a legacy established in 1969, when the first purpose-built Camaro drag-racing specialty car was designed to compete in the NHRA Stock Eliminator. The COPO nameplate is a nod to the Central Office Production Order system, which cunning Chevrolet dealers used to build one-of-a-kind high-performance models. In 2011, a new COPO concept was shown at the SEMA Show. The overwhelming response inspired a special-edition production run. Engines were assembled at the Wixom Performance Build Center, where the buyer could opt to participate in the engine assembly. With national records for quarter-mile times in the 9-second range, the COPOs success has continued every year since the 2012 model year, with a limited run of 69 cars. Each COPO Camaro race car is built by hand starting with production hardware, including the same body in white used for production models. The production race cars are fitted with an NHRA-approved roll cage and other safety equipment, along with racing chassis and suspension components - including a unique solid rear axle system in place of a regular-production Camaros independent rear axle. This COPO, has the largest engine available to put in it, which is a 427 naturally aspirated engine- creating 430 HP. If youre looking to stand out at every car-show and be part of a unique club (1 of 69), this is the vehicle for you. Not many people get the opportunity to own one of these, dont let this one pass you by! Description:

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this gorgeous 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Resto-mod. You are going to be hard pressed to find another 68 Camaro like this one. For being the middle child of the beloved 67 and 69 models, this one is a game changer bringing the 68 to life. Starting things off with the thing we all love the most HORSEPOWER! This beauty is powered by a Supercharged LSA Crate engine. If youre not familiar with the LSA, simply pop the hood on a 5th gen ZL1 Camaro and thats what this beautiful 68 is running with. You essentially have a 1968 ZL1 Camaro which is simply insane. Paired to a 4L80E transmission, it can certainly handle nearly anything you throw at it. Drive the power to the ground with both your foot and the Ford 9 rear end, along with a 4-link set up as well. To support the power this Camaro is putting down, it sits on a Checkered Racing frame and supported by QA1 dual adjustable shocks on all 4 corners. The front is a Mustang II based suspension and adding everything together this car handles very well. Even with the rack and pinion steering, making turns comes easily. The drilled and slotted 4-wheel disc brakes provide plenty of stopping power as well. With a car looking this great, you certainly want it to be heard as well. The dual stainless-steel Magna-flow exhaust and headers give it plenty of rumble when your putting your foot down. Of course, there is much more to say about this beautiful machine, but its even better when you simply lay your eyes on it personally. Painted in an eye-catching PPG “Night Orange this 1968 Camaro for sale shows very well. Much like the word Orange and rhyming, there is not much that compares to this car. If you want to be the one rolling up to the car show with something few have seen, then this is the car for you. Sitting on a set of Coy black chrome wheels, and the tinted windows truly sets this car off with an aggressive appearance. The interior is a showstopper just as much as the exterior. With a fully custom interior and stitched to match the exterior, you wont want to get out of this car once you sit down in it. Even though its a classic, this Camaro has undergone a complete restoration giving you many modern updates. Featuring power windows, tilt steering, COLD A/C, JL Audio stereo system, and custom gauges this car is turn-key ready. You simply cant build this car for less or would be very hard pressed to do so. Save the time, and headache and pick up this beauty while you still can. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Big Block. This beautiful C2 is a red exterior and black interior fire breathing beast! First and most importantly the owner does have the Protect-o-Plate to authenticate the numbers matching claim the owner has with the car. Under the hood of the 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Big Block is the 427 cubic inch big block V8 - L72. This is the higher output 425HP engine for 1966. The higher output was achieved with higher compression, larger intake valves, and a bigger carburetor. The optional 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and easily between gears. The rear end is a calm but responsive 3.55:1. For 1966 the 0-60 time was a mere 4.8 seconds which is quick even by todays standards. For those who driver their cars the paint does show a welcoming amount of fade and patina, and the black interior is similarly broken in. The heads were rebuilt in 2016 to accommodate unleaded fuel - this way many years of service are left in the engine. This is an easy cruiser you dont feel back driving or a lay-up restoration job. This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Big Block is for sale in our St. Louis Showroom and can be seen in great detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Powering this split window Corvette is a 327 CID V8 300HP engine that and has traveled a little over 500 miles since it was installed in 1983.
