Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to list this sleek 1972 Plymouth Scamp. There are two ways to build a fast car: make it powerful or make it light. Or better yet, combine the two and build a fast, agile street performer like this cool little 1972 Plymouth Scamp. With a thumping 340 under the hood and an appealing paint job, this is an extremely fun car thats also very reasonably priced. This one is the result of a project that transformed your moms grocery-getter into a sharp, pavement-twisting, and fun little compact. The bodywork is well done, and was clearly a solid, original car that needed little sheet metal fabrication. You cant miss the dual white hood scoops, tight white vinyl top, and painted to match Mopar wheels that are wrapped in Cooper Cobra tires. Jumping inside this cool little scamp youll find a nicely presented vinyl blue seats and door panels. The dash is nicely preserved with all the original gauges and just over 51k on the odometer. The current owner has enjoyed this Mopar for the last 15 years and about 4 years ago decided to rebuild the engine and transmission. While most Scamps limped along with a slant-six, this one has had new life breathed into it thanks to a 340 cubic inch V8 pulled from a Plymouth Duster. Appearing as it was factory, the matching turquoise paint on the engine block looks very vintage, and the chrome on the air cleaner and valve covers adds some flash. It was rebuilt about 3,500 miles ago with an upgraded aluminum radiator, 4-barrel carburetor on top, and even clean manifolds. A dual exhaust system peaking out the rear means it sounds as nasty as it looks but it doesnt mind traffic with a big radiator. The engine is backed by an automatic transmission that was also just rebuilt 3,500 miles ago and feeds a robust rear end that doesnt seem to mind the torque. Front-wheel disc brakes deliver reliable stops, undoubtedly assisted by power brake booster. In my opinion, the best feature on this car is the cold original AC compressor. Yes, that is correct, this 1970s R12 A/C compressor is blowing cool air! When was the last time you saw a Plymouth Scamp of any sort, let alone one built to this level? This cars awesome power-to-weight ratio makes it a blast on the road, so youve been looking for your next summer cruiser, this one deserves to be at the top of your list. Call today! To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1972 Plymouth Scamp Bucket please visit GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this 1966 Plymouth Belvedere to our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! In 1965, Chrysler was ready to bounce back with the downsizing fiasco of 1962 with its release of the new C-Body platforms, but that didn’t put an end to the B-Body. It continued forward with great restyling and a heavy promotion of the mid-sized car. This where the Belvedere series shined and in 1966, the Belvedere went through another minor facelift and most importantly, the newsworthy changes under the hood. While this particular car does not boast a Commando 383 or 426, this sweet ride conveys serious attitude with dark red poly paint and tasteful black painted top that compliments the interior. Powering this Plymouth is a rebuilt 360 CID V8 linked to the legendary 727 automatic transmission. Take a seat behind the wheel of this Mopar and great ready to have a wonderful time as you cruise to your next destination! Call us today and take home this B-Body Beauty! Additional features include Power Steering, Seat Belts and Rally Wheels! To view this 1966 Plymouth Belvedere in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. For Sale in our Detroit Showroom is a very well built Savoy! This 1962 Plymouth Savoy is second to none on the road. This beast has a monstrous and very powerful 440cid V8 paired to a 727 3-Speed Automatic that translates power to a 4.56 gear ratio. Stopping power is there courtesy the front disc brakes and 4 piston calipers. Behind the wheel of this Savoy is where the magic happens. The gauge layout is very legible and easily visible when you’ve got your foot planted to the ground to ensure all functions are working as they should. The Be Cool radiator allows you to do just that, Be Cool while you’re driving your Savoy around. Arguably one of the prettiest “ugly car” of its era, these iconic Mopars are just a blast to drive. The styling cues and body lines on this car are something you cant find anywhere else. Now appearing in our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars, is this hot orange 1971 Plymouth Duster. With a striking orange and black appearance on the outside that matches the interior, this car grabs peoples attention with ease. The orange color is well complimented with black striping graphics that go across the hood and seem to nicely accent the dual hood scoops up front. This combination of styling elements seems to set a stout and powerful muscle-car type of look that will be sure to draw in a crowd on the streets or at a car show. And if that dont do the trick with turning heads, the aggressive exhaust note supplied by the healthy 400 horsepower 360 cubic inch small block LA V8, supplied by Blueprint Crate Engines, will. This duster is setup with drag racing in mind as it has a 727 Torqueflight transmission outfitted with a B&M quarter stick style setup. The Duster is also equipped with power steering and aluminum wheels wrapped in radial tires to make driving this orange beast practical enough to do on the streets. As well as the engine being fresh, this car has also recently had the transmission and the exhaust replaced on it just adding to how fresh and ready to go this mean machine is. Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a gorgeous, Hemi powered 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible. This Barracuda underwent a no expense spared, frame off restoration in 2008. Since then it has been kept in a museum type setting to preserve its condition. This 70’ Plymouth began it’s life as one of 400 Barracuda Gran Coupe convertibles produced by Plymouth with a 318 CID 2BBL V8 engine, 17 of which with a 4 speed manual transmission. It now features a period correct 1970 426 CID Hemi V8, a tasteful and well thought out upgrade if you ask me. As you may suspect, it sounds just as nice as it looks. A 4-speed manual transmission transfers the ridiculous power to the Dana 60 rear end with a Super Trak-Pak that houses 4.10 gears. The Rallye Red paint looks amazing, it is accented beautifully by the white Hemi decals, and the white vinyl convertible top. The white vinyl interior is also in fantastic condition, with no signs of usage or wear. The black console sports the iconic pistol grip shifter, and a beautiful wood grain steering wheel caps off the interior. The odometer reads 26, approximately 300 miles have been put on the car since the restoration was complete. Before the restoration, this was believed to be a California car, with under 39,000 original miles. Options for this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible include: AM Radio, Automatic Convertible Top, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Rally Wheels. Original Hemi powered Barracuda convertibles that feature a numbers matching Hemi engine are selling for $2+ million dollars. This is an opportunity to own the next best thing, one you can drive and enjoy without feeling bad about, and for a much lower price. To view this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis showroom. Description:

This very beautiful 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. From the outside, this Belvedere II has a survivor look of a car that has been basically maintained through its many years of life. The exterior paint shows some wear with a few touch ups here and there. These particular types of cars have gained in popularity in the last few years. A set of American Torque Thrust wheels have been added to dress up the Belvedere a bit, but if you want more of a sleeper look, then the stock steel wheels are in the trunk. The wheels have been colored match to the match the car and there is a set of “dog dish” hub caps to finish off the stock look. Inside the interior looks stock with only minimal wear here and there. No trailer Queen here, just a nice solid reliable driver that will bring loads of fun to the new driver. Get a little scratch in the paint job, no big deal, it happens! Now under the hood is a slightly different story. The original engine has been replaced with a Mopar 360 V8 crate engine. A quick turn of the key, the engine roars to life with a nice lopey idle. Options on this 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II include; AM/FM Radio (needs work), Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior and Aluminum Alloy Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe. The Plymouth Deluxe was produced from 1946 to 1950, with the top trim line being the Special Deluxe model. The first post-war Plymouth Deluxe rolled off the assembly line on October 22, 1945, at the dealership people arrived in droves to get their name on the list for a brand new car. Plymouth literature claimed there were 50 updates on their post-war model that improved upon the pre-war model. From 1946-48 Plymouths tag line during this post-war era was Outside and in, its a completely new Plymouth. Compare it feature for feature. Sit in it. Ride in it. Drive it. Then youll surely agree. This particular survivor was given a thorough frame-up restoration and still shows very well. During the updates she was inserted with a 302 Ford V-8 mated to a C-4 automatic transmission. The paint is a nice burgundy, with a grey tweed cloth bench seat interior. The restoration wasnt complete until the update of adding a tilt wheel, power steering, and power windows. They followed the interior theme into the trunk area as well, keeping with uniformity. She was finished off with a set of chrome spoke wheels and radial tires. This car cruises down the road with the best of them, and represents an era for Chrysler where they put function before style. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1959 Plymouth Suburban! In the late 50’s, Station wagons were growing in popularity, but would never match sedans in volume. So, there were certain compromises made over the years, by all manufacturers. Ford was known to sell Mercury wagons on the shorter Ford wheelbase, particularly in the Comet and Meteor series, and Oldsmobile, Buick and Pontiac Bonneville full size wagons all shared Chevrolets 119 inch wheelbase for a time (unlike the sedans and coupes on their 123.5 inch wheelbase). Chrysler reversed this. Preferring to maintain the exclusive nature of the Town & Country, the company based all wagons on the larger bodies and smoother suspensions of the senior divisions. This made it difficult for Plymouth to compete in price with Ford and Chevrolet, but did allow them to claim the roomiest wagon in the low-priced field. It also meant the wagons used many parts shared with Chryslers, DeSotos and Dodges, but not other Plymouths. The unique name meant Plymouth dealers were limited in liability; when a mechanic found his new torsion bar was inches too short to fit, he had no one but himself to blame for requesting a Belvedere part instead of a Sport Suburban part. Suburbans for 1958 were quite similar to those sold in 57, but with detail changes like an under-bumper grille and a V in the grille centre. The P-L-Y-M-O-U-T-H lettering was gone again, replaced by a hood emblem. The rear vision mirror mounted on the dash top moved off-centre over toward the drivers side. The old L-head six was still available (though not for too much longer) and there were now three Dual Fury V8s; 225 bhp, 250 bhp (4bbl) and 290 bhp (8bbl), as well as a 350cid Golden Commando option. Although based on the same body, 1959 Plymouth Suburbans featured an egg-crate grille and side trim changes, while the front bumper lost its raised centre section and larger tail lamps set the 58s apart from the rear. Description:

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a very clean, yellow and green 1940 Plymouth Pickup. This old truck is built on a 1991 Dodge Dakota chassis. It is powered by a Mopar 5.2L fuel injected V8 engine that fires right up and purrs right along. A 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission transfers the power to the rear end with 3.23 gears. The green and yellow color scheme is a tribute to the iconic John Deere tractor company, and does it with tremendous pride. The fenders and step rails are finished in gloss black and accent the overall theme very well. The truck bed is finished with wood slates, and is protected by a black vinyl bed cover that snaps into place. The cab of this 40’ Plymouth truck has been lengthened 8 inches for more leg room, which makes long drives much more comfortable. The stretched doors open suicide style which gathers attention each time you pop them open. The leather bucket seats are from a late model vehicle and provide great support as well. The interior dash is painted green with yellow pinstriping to match the exterior, and provide a custom look. The odometer reads 6,810, which represents the miles put on the truck since the build was complete. Options for this 1940 Plymouth Pickup include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Driver’s Seat, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels.
