Description:

A great deal of time, money, and effort has gone into making this old Ford Woody the perfect cruiser! After the second (current) owner purchased the car back in February of 1988 it was driven for a few years before it underwent a restoration of the wood panels on the car in 1994. Taking over a year to complete by a professional, the woodwork has held up nicely and, to this day it still looks great! Under the hood sits a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 with only 2,500 miles put on since the professional rebuild by a reputable racing shop. The front suspension was replaced with Mustang II components providing a much nicer ride and premium control. As you slide into the interior that was reupholstered back in 2005, you will feel as if you were transported to a different era. A time in history where it was deemed okay to make most of the panels out of wood! Fire up that big V8, drop the transmission into drive, and start to cruise! You can almost hear the Endless Summer album by The Beach Boys, playing from the aftermarket stereo. The ride quality is very comfortable and feels safe even at higher speeds. The rack and pinion steering is smooth and much more precise than stock, and the disc brakes will stop you quickly. Everywhere you go, this old Ford is sure to turn heads and be a crowd pleaser! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford Woody in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to list this sharp 1931 Chevrolet Independence for sale. This Coupe is powered by the late year 1961 Corvette 283 cubic inch motor bored out .030 over. It is coupled to an M20 wide ratio Muncie 4 speed with an independent rear suspension from a C3 Corvette. 1931 was the last year Chevy out-sold Ford by blowing the doors off their little four cylinders. Ford introduced their 8 cylinder flathead in 1932, which was Bonnie and Clydes preferred choice to outrun the law. Had Bonnie and Clyde been driving this 1931 Chevrolet Five Window Coupe they could have gotten away for more days of bank robbing. This slick little coupe is quick but also stops well with disc brakes on all four corners. The body is all steel with fiberglass fenders and running boards. The beautiful blue paint will attract loads of attention. However, for those who like to seek more attention, there is an electric switch operated line lock to hold the front wheels while the rear tires do a smoking burnout. This 1931 Chevrolet Independence 5 Window Coupe is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Available in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this very original Guards red with black leather interior and black top 1984 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. This outstanding Eurospec Carrera features: 3.2 liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder, 5-speed manual transmission, 16-inch wheels, clean history, and just under 35k original miles. This 1984 Porsche 911 represents the highest evolution of the classic 911 body style with its fully galvanized body, much improved AC system, and unquestionable reliability. Not only does the 3.2 engine make more horsepower than its SC predecessor, but it also does not have any timing chain issues-one of the only notable problems found in the bullet proof SC. Speaking of Horsepower, the car makes 231 HP compared to its US counterpart which came in at 207 HP. This car was federalized when it first arrived in the US and received smog equipment, and a MPH speedometer, but it still retains many of its unique European details including, smaller rear bumperettes, the more powerful Euro motor, the small lower brake light, and Euro Hella H4 headlights. This 911 is in wonderful original condition. There is some very minor wear to the leather seats, and the door panels, dash and carpets look great for their age. The German canvas top is in very good condition as well. The paint is excellent with some small touched up stone chips on the front hood and a great luster and shine. The Porsche 911 is and has remained the most significant and fundamentally unchanged of the great sports cars of the last half-century. A true enthusiasts car, famous for its race-bred handling, durability, profound beauty, and unique and steadfastly simple design, this compelling Guards Red cabriolet is a fine example of the earliest and most fully realized of the real world 911s. A car as comfortable for local commutes, as it is competent at performance extremes; this is undoubtedly the most iconic of the air-cooled 911s.

Description:

This 1967 Buick GS 400 convertible is special car as it carries the new generation V8 motor and sported the out of sight red Star Wars air cleaner! The entire GS package was coming together and forming its own identity instead of being an adjunct to the Skylark- Special series. Production of 1967 GS 400 convertibles was low to start with. Only about 2,140 cars in all forms. There were 9 three speed manual cars made and 422 four speed manual cars. Which leads us to our example finished in bright red. The white soft top looks incredible against the bold red paint, but with just one touch of a button, the power roof folds down to reveal an even more impressive interior. The rich black inside against the shining red paint has the kind of bold and sophisticated presentation you want from a Buick GS. All the best original trim is still in place, from the chrome GS 400 badges on the door panels, to the Buick crest sitting below the dash. Under the hood this car proudly shows off the 400 cubic-inch powerplant. It had an advertised 340 horsepower, but remember, those were days of underrating for the insurance people. After all, this big block V8 with the four-barrel carburetor has an unmistakably powerful rumble from the dual exhaust. And being equipped with the one wire ignition means this is one of the more reliable cars you can get your hands on from this era. You can view this 1967 Buick GS in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Now for sale in the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird. This is one of the most desirable years for the Thunderbird and what a fantastic example this is. The current owner of this first-generation car bought it from the original owner in Houston all the way back in 1967 and has kept it ever since. This one has been excellently maintained over the years and still drives very well. Under the hood you will find a 312 CID V8 engine which was now standard in 1957 over the 292 CID V8 engine seen on the previous 1st generation Thunderbirds. The Thunderbird was revised for 1957 with a reshaped front bumper, a larger grille and tail fins, and larger tail lamps. The instrument panel was heavily re-styled with round gauges in a single pod, and the rear of the car was lengthened, allowing the spare tire to be positioned back in the trunk. The 312 cu in V8 became the Thunderbirds standard engine, and now produced 245 horsepower. Other, even more powerful versions of the 312 CID V8 were available, including one with two four-barrel Holley carburetors, and another with a Paxton supercharger delivering 300 horsepower. Though Ford was pleased to see sales of the Thunderbird rise to a record-breaking 21,380 units for 1957, company executives felt the car could do even better, leading to a substantial redesign of the car for 1958. The exterior is finished in a gorgeous white/blue two-tone paint scheme with a matching blue two-tone interior. The cabin is kept cool with functioning air conditioning and features a manual convertible top for those summer days. Power steering and power brakes make steering and stopping this classic a breeze, even in tight parking spots. Seat belts are fitted for extra safety and the white wall tires look fantastic. Dont miss your chance to own this one! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer one gorgeous American classic: a 1960 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. Cadillac has always been the pinnacle of American luxury, but 1960 may have been Cadillacs pinnacle of American design. This massive two door sedan features a chrome grill dressed with jewel-like teeth spanning the front between dual headlamps on each side. The chrome trim is liberally applied from front to back including trim along the hood, each side, and topping each fin. Perhaps the most recognizable American design feature: the fin, made its debut in 1948 by Cadillac. The fins stuck around and hit their peak of style in 1960. Projecting from each rear tailfin is a set of two bullet shaped tail lights. These lights have been used by hot rodders and custom motorcycle builders for their unique yet recognizable look. This particular 60 Coupe DeVille is dressed in PPG Deep Red with all the chrome trim in great condition. It sits on the proper wide white wall tires which scream the Americana. In the era of suburban sprawl and expansion in America, everyone wanted a large sedan with a comfortable ride and plenty of room to pile the family into the bench seat interior. With gasoline selling for $0.30/gallon in 1960, its no surprise this luxury sedan comes with a 390 CID V8 under the hood which outputs a reasonable 325 HP. This was backed by Cadillacs 4 speed automatic transmission which made for a smooth and effortless ride. You can pilot this land yacht with one finger on the wheel and cruise all day at 65 mph without a care in the world. The interior is large and comfortable featuring black and red two tone upholstery which is like sitting on your living room sofa. The car is equipped with Factory AC, power steering, power brakes, AM radio, and power front seat. This Caddy would make a great boulevard cruiser to go check out the town on a Friday night. Can you imagine loading up 6 of your closest friends and setting out on a weekend road trip in this gem? Head to the beach, go to a car show, head to your favorite teams sporting event, heck drive this bad boy to Vegas if you want. To see this stunning 1960 Cadillac Coupe DeVille in greater detail, stop by our St. Louis showroom, or visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please call 817-310-9400 or email Dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com with any questions.
