Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1931 Chevrolet Independence for sale. This Coupe is powered by the late year 1961 Corvette 283 cubic inch motor bored out .030 over. It is coupled to an M20 wide ratio Muncie 4 speed with an independent rear suspension from a C3 Corvette. 1931 was the last year Chevy out-sold Ford by blowing the doors off their little four cylinders. Ford introduced their 8 cylinder flathead in 1932, which was Bonnie and Clydes preferred choice to outrun the law. Had Bonnie and Clyde been driving this 1931 Chevrolet Five Window Coupe they could have gotten away for more days of bank robbing. This slick little coupe is quick but also stops well with disc brakes on all four corners. The body is all steel with fiberglass fenders and running boards. The beautiful blue paint will attract loads of attention. However, for those who like to seek more attention, there is an electric switch operated line lock to hold the front wheels while the rear tires do a smoking burnout. This 1931 Chevrolet Independence 5 Window Coupe is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

This 1967 Buick GS 400 convertible is special car as it carries the new generation V8 motor and sported the out of sight red Star Wars air cleaner! The entire GS package was coming together and forming its own identity instead of being an adjunct to the Skylark- Special series. Production of 1967 GS 400 convertibles was low to start with. Only about 2,140 cars in all forms. There were 9 three speed manual cars made and 422 four speed manual cars. Which leads us to our example finished in bright red. The white soft top looks incredible against the bold red paint, but with just one touch of a button, the power roof folds down to reveal an even more impressive interior. The rich black inside against the shining red paint has the kind of bold and sophisticated presentation you want from a Buick GS. All the best original trim is still in place, from the chrome GS 400 badges on the door panels, to the Buick crest sitting below the dash. Under the hood this car proudly shows off the 400 cubic-inch powerplant. It had an advertised 340 horsepower, but remember, those were days of underrating for the insurance people. After all, this big block V8 with the four-barrel carburetor has an unmistakably powerful rumble from the dual exhaust. And being equipped with the one wire ignition means this is one of the more reliable cars you can get your hands on from this era. You can view this 1967 Buick GS in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/DEN/274/1967-Buick-GS-400

Description:

Now for sale in the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird. This is one of the most desirable years for the Thunderbird and what a fantastic example this is. The current owner of this first-generation car bought it from the original owner in Houston all the way back in 1967 and has kept it ever since. This one has been excellently maintained over the years and still drives very well. Under the hood you will find a 312 CID V8 engine which was now standard in 1957 over the 292 CID V8 engine seen on the previous 1st generation Thunderbirds. The Thunderbird was revised for 1957 with a reshaped front bumper, a larger grille and tail fins, and larger tail lamps. The instrument panel was heavily re-styled with round gauges in a single pod, and the rear of the car was lengthened, allowing the spare tire to be positioned back in the trunk. The 312 cu in V8 became the Thunderbirds standard engine, and now produced 245 horsepower. Other, even more powerful versions of the 312 CID V8 were available, including one with two four-barrel Holley carburetors, and another with a Paxton supercharger delivering 300 horsepower. Though Ford was pleased to see sales of the Thunderbird rise to a record-breaking 21,380 units for 1957, company executives felt the car could do even better, leading to a substantial redesign of the car for 1958. The exterior is finished in a gorgeous white/blue two-tone paint scheme with a matching blue two-tone interior. The cabin is kept cool with functioning air conditioning and features a manual convertible top for those summer days. Power steering and power brakes make steering and stopping this classic a breeze, even in tight parking spots. Seat belts are fitted for extra safety and the white wall tires look fantastic. Dont miss your chance to own this one! Description:

This one-off car was commissioned by Willys Unlimited in Columbus, Ohio and was hand built to be the only 1933 Willys Roadster with a rumble seat out there. If you want to stand out from the crowd this is definitely the car to take you there. This is one of those cars where everything was well thought out and planned which is very evident when checking it out. Every part on the car was custom built to enhance the overall theme. The body is in excellent condition and painted in a beautiful Black paint with a Red accent along the body lines down each side of the car. The front 33 Willys grill was hand built and has a beautiful shine. The whole front end look with the fenders and hood give the car a striking appearance. The 34 Willys side panels were made to be removable for that old school hot rod look and they have 4 custom slits in each which accentuate the swooping of the fenders and body. The deck lid and doors all are shaved so it has a really clean look with no major hardware in place besides the side mirrors, custom built 33 Willys headlights with internal turn signals and chrome tail lights. Polished American Racing mags sit under all four corners and are wrapped with steel belted radial tires that have plenty of life left in them. Under the car is a custom chassis built by Willys Unlimited that utilizes a completely polished out stainless steel coilover suspension in front and rear with solid billet A-Arms. The suspension was specifically tuned to match the 2,600 pound total weight of the vehicle. A 9 inch Ford rear end is found in back and was narrowed to fit the car. It has 4 wheel power disk brakes which were built using Corvette components and polished calipers. Stainless steel brake lines were used throughout and are polished as well. The sound is delivered via a fully polished stainless steel exhaust system which is routed out of the rear. A Haywire custom wiring loom was used in combination with a Odyssey dry cell battery so electrical issues should be of no concern. Dyno tested at 400HP+ to the rear wheels the car is no slouch and the small block 383 stroker motor was very nicely built. It is a four bolt motor with roller rockers, a comp cam and 850 cfm Holley double pumper carburetor. It utilizes a MSD ignition system and high volume NASCAR electric fuel pump. The engine features finned valve covers and lots of chrome so it is just as fun to show off as it is to run. A custom billet piece was made for the firewall so even the engine compartment itself has a nice look. Paired with the motor is a Turbo 350 automatic transmission that has been outfitted with manual shift and Ford 9 inch rear end with 3:56 gears. The interior is done in a custom Grey and Black upholstery which looks like new. The rumble seat is finished out in matching material. The dash features all Moon gauges in an engine turned bezel which looks great. A 2nd water temp gauge and fuel pressure gauge are mounted in the engine compartment. It has billet knobs throughout along with a billet steering wheel and polished tilt steering column. The windshield wipers, horn, turn signals, seat belts and dimmer switch are all working so the car is fully street legal wherever you take. The car is reliable and drives/handles just like a modern car. It has zero squeaks or rattles and is a joy to drive. There are so many nice custom features to describe that we are sure some things got left out so check it out in person! You can view this 1933 Willys Roadster in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
