Description:

Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago Showroom is this 4 owner 1968 Pontiac GTO! After being assembled in the factory during the fall of 1967 the car was then sent to Price Frederick Motor Co. in Maryland. The car was then sold from there in December of 1968. The original owner kept the car up until 1994 when it was sold to a gentleman in Virginia. The second owner enjoyed the car until December of 2005 when the 3rd owner purchased the car. The 3rd owner gave it a frame off restoration before selling it to the current owner back in 2012. The 4th owner enjoyed it for the past 7 years, but know it is time for another lucky person to get behind the wheel of this beauty! The current odometer reads only 98,595 miles and is believed to be actual miles. The 2nd and 3rd owner put some work into the car to get it into the shape it is today. The second owner had the engine rebuilt by a professional name Jim Taylor out of Virginia. We believe the engine to be original to the car and is a YS code. The rebuild kept the Compression ratio stock at 10.75 to 1. He replaced the camshaft and intake with the Torquer Series by Edelbrock. It was also fitted with roller rockers and a new Quick fuel SS-750 Carb was installed in October of 2011. It also received new hoses, T-stat, Howe 4 core Radiator, Twin electric cooling fans, alternator, Belts, HEI distributor, Distributor Cap, rotors, wires, plugs, and new fender wells to make the engine bay nice and clean. The new engine breathes through a set of powder coated Hooker Headers, into a 3 system with super turbos that come out below the rear bumper. This car is impossible not to see or hear coming and is sure to intimidate all others. The transmission is a factory correct Turbo 400 which was also rebuilt. It has a 2800-3000 Stall converter and a shift kit for firm shifts. The differential is numbers matching WD 10 bolt rear end with newer Auburn Carrier and Richmond gears with a 3:90 ratio. The installation also included new bearings, seals, and an aluminum cover. The two automatic cooling fans kick on automatically when a temperature of 190 is reached. They are also hooked up to a manual switch for the hot summer days. Inside the car still has the original white vinyl interior, but the carpet and headliner have been replaced. The dash houses the Speedometer, Clock, engine temp, Oil Pressure, and gas gauge. The stock gauges regarding the engine do not currently work, but aftermarket gauges under the center dash for the Oil pressure, Voltage and water Temp do work and show the condition of the engine. The A/C was converted to 134 A in May of 2011, but it does not currently work. In between the bucket seats is the His and Hers shifter which adds the cool factor for the car. The RPM gauge on the hood currently lights and is getting power but does not currently work as it should. This sweet GTO is looking for its next owner! For more information regarding this 1968 Pontiac GTO contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or email us at Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com and be sure to check out our website with 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at GatewayClassicCars.com/CHI/1642/

With the sound you get from any big block - the Flow Master mufflers just takes it up a notch - and you just gotta get some more! The consignor states this example to be a true SS with drum brakes, and no factory tach. She is a 3-owner, non-numbers matching car from Indiana, rotisserie restored in Ohio in 2003, and shows very little of her age, as shes been cared for since the restoration. This is a Berger Camaro. Berger Camaro has been tuning Camaros since the early days right along the side of Don Yenko selling COPO Camaros and including the radical ZL-1. The year is 2000 and Berger is at it again, this time he limited production of his very special cars to 104 units over a three year period ending in 2002, the last year for the Camaro. We have for sale an original owner 2002 Berger Camaro SS #69. The car has currently 14,844 miles. It is 1 of 43 produced and is 1 of 1 Phase II in 2002 and is painted in a beautiful Navy Blue Metallic, with Painted White stripes which is a rare option, and Ebony leather interior. Very few cars had painted stripes. Of the 4 known to have them, this car might be the only 2002. It also has been signed by the builders which is very rare! Originally purchased as a Phase 1 car from Berger with the following, 380hp/400tq package, cat back chambered exhaust, all new High Flow Air box Lid, progressive rate Eibach lowering springs, 17x9.5 five spoke Fikse FM5 wheels with special SS logo center caps, dimple front and rear brake rotors with red powder coated calipers, dual hood and decklid stripes, black rear tail light panel, chrome by Berger rear panel emblem, Prescribed Power by Berger Air box lid decal, numbered console plaque and key fobs, fitted car cover with Berger SS logo, horsepower and torque dash plaque, Berger Prescribed Power emblems, all new grill with SS emblem, white-faced gauges with by Berger logo, Power antenna, car number on windshield and review mirror. The owner sent the car back to GMMG Inc, (modifying cars for Berger Chevrolet), and had it upgraded to a Phase 2 X6 package, (of 2 cars known, this is the only 2002), that upped the horsepower from 380 to 500! This included LS6 heads, headers, 4.10:1 gears, camshaft and tune. While there, it also had a few other special modifications installed. Electric exhaust cutout, Hurst line lock and a small shift light in drivers window pillar. The car has been autographed, under hood, by many of the major contributors that made this project happen. They include Matt and Dale Berger, owners Berger Chevrolet, Scott Settlemire, GM Assistant Camaro Brand Manager, also known as FbodFather, Matt Murphy, owner GMMC Inc. and Dennis Baker, previous Sales Manager and Camaro development at Berger Chevrolet. This contribution makes this Camaro truly one of a kind and very collectible. All original documents, as well as Phase 1 take off parts (cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds), original battery, air and oil filters. Heres a rare opportunity to own a very rare and powerful Camaro SS. Its in near new condition and ready for some serious fun. Open up the exhaust cutout and let all 500 ponies let loose. For more information on this 2002 Berger Chevrolet Camaro SS, call 618-271-3000 or stop by our St. Louis showroom. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com
