Description:

ITS A HEMI!!! Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to be able to offer this beautiful and powerful 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 426 Hemi! This is the car you want if you’re looking for comfort, style and big Hemi power. The Coronet reappeared for the 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body car using a 117 inche wheel base. When reintroduced in this 5th generation it was the biggest selling vehicle Dodge made that year! This is the 2-door hardtop version of the car which is one of the most desirable of the period. In 1966 Coronet received a redesign and you started to be able to get the 426 hemi as an option. The 440 Magnum that was in the R/T produced 375hp but the 426 Hemi pushed out a whopping 425hp! An incredible powerplant that has to be driven to truly appreciate. This is a numbers matching vehicle that even has the blue stripe tires that were only available from Mopar, only available for the Hemi and only available in 1966! Super rare stuff we are talking about here. This engine and transmission were rebuilt 27,000 miles ago when the car just went over 100,000 miles. The 426 Hemi goes through the factory automatic transmission and ends up at the 3.08 limited slip rear end. The exterior is a beautiful red color which looks excellent with the white vinyl interior. Features include an AM radio, spare tire, power brakes, power steering, jack and a spare tire. Rally whiles and the blue stripe bias ply tires really set the car off nicely. Don’t miss your opportunity to own this very rare and desirable piece of Mopar history. This Coronet is in our Houston showroom. For more information on this 1966 Dodge Coronet for sale, to see all the HD pictures and videos of it, copy the URL below, and see it at this direct link: http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1226/1966-Dodge-Coronet . Description:

Gateway Classic Cars proudly presents this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe with the original 327 cubic inch V8 with a 4 speed transmission. This car has been mildly modified with hardened valve seats to accommodate the use of unleaded fuel and has a Flowmaster exhaust. Painted in 2014 in the current beautiful medium gray metallic, the finish shows a glassy smoothness. After the introduction of the C2 Corvette in 1963, in 1964 Chevrolet made only evolutionary changes to the Corvette. Besides the coupes backbone window, the two simulated air intakes were eliminated from the hood, though their indentations remained. Also, the decorative air-exhaust vent on the coupes rear pillar was made functional, but only on the left side, the fuel filler/deck emblem gained concentric circles around its crossed-flags insignia. Inside, the original color-keyed steering wheel rim was now done in simulated walnut. A few suspension refinements were made for 1964. The front coil springs were changed from constant-rate to progressive or variable-rate and were more tightly wound at the top, while leaf thickness of the rear transverse spring was also altered thus providing a more comfortable ride with no sacrifice in handling. Shock absorbers were reworked toward the same end. Chevy added more sound insulation and revised body and transmission mounts for the 1964 Corvette. It also fitted additional bushings to quiet the shift linkage and placed a new boot around the lever. The result was a more livable car for everyday transportation. If enthusiast publications liked the first Sting Ray, they loved the 1964. To view this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com. To see this beautiful 1964 Chevrolet Corvette in person, stop by our showroom located at 4400 West 96th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268. http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/NDY/1162/1964-Chevrolet-Corvette

Description:

Development of the Jaguar F-Type dates as far back as 1982, when Jaguar realized that the XJ-S had grown too large in both size and weight to be classified as a proper successor to the venerable E-Type. The project was cancelled when Ford took over the company in 1989. Finally, in 2011, the C-X16 concept car was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Production of the F-Type Coupe began in 2013 for the 2014 model year. Two V-6 and three V-8 engine options were offered. This beautiful 2015 F-Type V-8 S Convertible features a heart stopping 495hp 5.0L Supercharged V8 that screams for attention. The gearbox is an eight-speed automatic with paddle a shifter offering manual override with an electronic limited-slip differential. The F-Type has a double-wishbone front and rear suspension with adaptive dampers and adjustable suspension settings to allow the driver to adjust ride and handling. Non-standard options on this vehicle include heated seats & wheel, HD radio, 20” Tornado alloy wheels, and limited edition British Racing Green Metallic paint. In addition, a factory performance group for the V8-S features special seats, flat-bottomed steering wheel, special brake calipers and selectable active exhaust. This stunning Super Car is located at our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS convertible. Now some may argue that the Chevelle and Malibu are two different cars, between the years of 1964 to 1973 Chevrolet made the Chevelle with a Malibu package and the results still cause grow men to drool. This drop top Chevelle Malibu for sale is one of the best restorations that I have seen for some time. Attention to every little detail was the game plan with this little ’65 Chevelle Malibu SS for sale was striped down to be restored. Looking sharp in Artesian Turquoise, which looks like it is still dripping wet, with white convertible top and interior, this is one classy car! This numbers matching Chevelle Malibu for sale as stated by the owner has a peppy 327 cubic inch small block under the hood that is backed by a 2-speed power glide transmission making this cruiser a joy to drive. Personally, I thought it would look great if I drove it to Miami beach for the photo shoot, but my manager just didn’t understand the vision I was trying to convince him of. Think about it, this beautiful car on the white sand with the surf in the back ground and the smell of coppertone ( for those under 50, sunscreen) in the air and a slight trade wind to keep the suns warmth from getting to intense and the best part, the keys to this beauty are in your pocket. Options for this 1965 Chevelle for sale include: AM/FM radio, Power convertible top, Power steering, Power brakes, Vinyl interior, Seat belts, White wall radial tires with Classic hub caps. For more information call the Nashville showroom at 615-213-1800 or send us an email at nashville@gatewayclassiccars.com http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/NSH/738/1965-Chevrolet-Chevelle-Malibu-SS

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback S-Code. The 1967 Mustang Fastback has gone down as one of the must iconic cars of its era. The sweeping lines and big block engines available only make these cars more desirable and the reason they still bring premium money today. This example left the factory, as verified by the Mart report, with a 390 under the hood also known as an s-code. Taken done and built form the ground up the car is now packing a bored and stroked 390 with a total displacement of 445 cubic inches now giving this car a whole new level of power. Taken from a 69 T-Bird the motor now only has 500 miles on it since it was installed. The built c6 transmission handles all that power nicely shifting through all 3 gears without hesitation. The Ford 9-inch rear end has a 3.25 gear set making the car a pleasure to drive on the back roads and good enough to cruise down the highway. With the posi traction allowing for both rear wheels to lay down rubber at will. With the Grab-a-trac suspension gone through and rebuilt the car handles as if it was racing down the road in 1967. The upgraded Wilwood disc brakes bring this Pony to screeching holt just in case you right foot becomes a little too heavy. The paint on the car is slick and been taken back its original red with the base coat clear coat giving it an even deeper look. The ram air hood lets everyone know that this isn’t your average pony especially with the rumbling from that stroked out big block under the hood. A look inside shows that the original style parchment interior has been used giving the car that factory look. The magnum 500 wheels finish the car off nicely and were one the best wheels to leave the factory. If you have been wanting a great S-Code but a with a little more oomph this red rocket should do the trick. Options on this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback S code include, AC, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior and Magnum 500 Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

For sale in our Denver showroom is a numbers matching 1966 Corvette 327 - 300 HP V8 original motor and 4-speed transmission, convertible. This description really doesnt need much more! Coated in Milano Maroon, paired with saddle leather seats, this Corvette is sure to turn heads. The car was restored in 2004, the interior and all the glass is original to the car. A new soft top was just installed as well. For 1966, Chevrolet introduced an even larger 427 cu in Big Block version. Other options available on the C2 included the Wonderbar auto-tuning AM radio, AM-FM radio (mid-1963), air conditioning (late-1963), a telescopic steering wheel (1965), and headrests (1966). The Sting Rays independent rear suspension was successfully adapted for the new-for-1965 Chevrolet Corvair, which solved the quirky handling problems of that unique rear-engine compact. The classic offers a M-20 4-spd manual transmission, also numbers matching. The rear-end is a posi-traction 3.55:1 gear. Options include: AM/FM radio, manual convertible top, hub caps, power brakes, seat belts, and leather interior. While each classic car offers its own piece of history, this Corvette comes with documentation showing June of 1966 the car was purchased in New Jersey. Needless to say, this car is very well put together. If you are looking for a great investment that you can also enjoy on the weekends, this is a great find. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this stunning 1967 Ford Thunderbird for sale in our Las Vegas showroom. The Thunderbirds fifth generation brought the second major change in the cars design direction since its debut in 1955. From 1958 to 1966, the Thunderbird had remained fundamentally the same in concept as a sporty two-door coupe/convertible with two rows of seating. However, the introduction of the Ford Mustang in early 1964 had created a challenge to the Thunderbirds market positioning for it, like the Thunderbird. The result, introduced for 1967, was a larger Thunderbird with luxury appointments more in line with a Lincoln. The new Thunderbird abandoned unibody construction in favor of a body-on-frame construction with sophisticated rubber mountings between the body and frame to reduce noise and vibration. A pair of significant departures from the previous generation Thunderbird was the elimination of a convertible model and the addition a four-door model, which used suicide doors for rear seat access. The available four-door design would remain a unique feature to this generation. One of the most noticeable design elements of the fifth generation Thunderbird was the gaping, fighter jet-inspired grille opening that incorporated hidden headlights. Options for the 1967 Ford Thunderbird include: AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Windows, Vinyl Interior, Spare Tire and Jack, and Radial Tires. This beautiful fully restored inside and out navy blue angel was given some extra attention to detail by adding a Holley Sniper EFI, Custom audio sound system and more. This Beautiful 1967 Thunderbird is for sale in our Las Vegas showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1967 Ford Mustang GTA Fastback S-Code. The 1967 Mustang Fastback has gone down as one of the must iconic cars of its era. The sweeping lines and big block engines available only make these cars more desirable and the reason they still bring premium money today. This example left the factory, as verified by the Marti report, with a 390 under the hood also known as an s-code. Taken done and built form the ground up the car is now packing a bored and stroked 390 with a total displacement of 445 cubic inches now giving this car a whole new level of power. This rebuilt FE big block has just over 500 miles on it since the installation. The stroked-out FE big block has dressed up with a March Pulley system. The pulley is more than just for good looks, a single serpentine belt reduces parasitic drag. Keeping the engine cool is a new aluminum radiator equipped with dual electric fans. A set of FPA coated headers gets the gases of the engine and sends them to a pair of stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers. The built c6 transmission handles all that power nicely shifting through all 3 gears without hesitation. The Ford 9-inch rear end has a 3.25 gear set making the car a pleasure to drive on the back roads and good enough to cruise down the highway. Posi-traction allows for both rear wheels to lay down rubber at will. The Grab-a-trac suspension has been gone through and upgraded with 620 lb coil (front), 5 leaf rear springs, 1 1/8 inch thick front sway bar and KYB gas adjust shocks…….. the car handles as if it was racing down the road in 1967. The upgraded Wilwood front disc brakes bring this Pony to screeching halt just in case you right foot becomes a little too heavy. The paint on the car is slick and been taken back its original red with the base coat clear coat giving it an even deeper look. The ram air hood lets everyone know that this isn’t your average pony especially with the rumbling from that stroked out big block under the hood. A look inside shows that the original style parchment interior, from TMI with sport foam, gives the car that factory look. This 1967 Ford Mustang GTA Fastback is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a selection of gas dragsters “Gassers” for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This model, “Shazam”, is a 1933 Willys replica B/Gas dragster powered by a 355 Chevrolet driving through a 350 Chevrolet automatic transmission to a 12 bolt rear end with a 3.83:1 ratio. The body is all fiberglass on a custom frame with a roll cage. Paint is PPG orange metalflake with a yellow and green stripe, the interior is in green sparkle vinyl. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term “Gasser” refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in “heads up” drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run “grudge matches” for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as “the gasser war years,” which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. The most common base vehicles were Willys coupes, Austin and Anglia sedans, and the Chevy Tri-Five cars. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. To view this gas dragster, please visit our site at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call 317-688-1100, or email us at indy@gatewayclassiccars.com.
