Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this 1940 Buick Roadmaster. All original except for one re-paint, 25 years ago. Paint shows age but still very presentable. In 1940 the Series 80 was renamed Limited. The Roadmaster name was transferred to the new Series 70, which was introduced at the same time as a brand new Series 50 Super. The Roadmaster featured a cutting-edge torpedo C-body. The new C-body that the 1940 Buick Roadmaster shared with the Super, the Cadillac Series 62, the Oldsmobile Series 90, and the Pontiac Torpedo featured shoulder and hip room that was over 5 wider, the elimination of running boards and exterior styling that was streamlined and 2-3 lower. When combined with a column mounted shift lever the cars offered true six passenger comfort. These changes had clearly been influenced by the Cadillac Sixty Special. To view this 1940 Buick Roadmaster, please visit our site at https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/LVS/8/1940-Buick-Roadmaster, call 702-830-9215, or email us at lasvegas@gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

This 2001 Chrysler Prowler is now stealing the show in the Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars. The Prowler came as a well-executed action on making a car retro styled after something reminiscent of a car made during the 30s and 40s. People instantly latched to these cars knowing full well that the unique styling and the limited number of Prowlers made between 1997 through 2002. The cars started life as being made under the Plymouth name 1997-2000 following a concept car that had debuted in 1993 and then changed hands being made under the Chrysler name 2001 and 2002 when the Plymouth line stopped being manufactured by Daimler Chrysler. Under the hood of this midnight blue pearl coat (Mulholland Edition) beauty lies an all-aluminum 3.5 liter EGG V6 producing approximately 250 horsepower which when bolted to the 42LE Autostick 4-speed automatic transmission makes for one stylish car capable of propelling itself to 60mph in 5.9 seconds; not bad for a naturally aspirated V6. The Prowler comes with features such air conditioning, AM/FM radio with CD player and premium audio, lumbar support, power locks, convertible top, an optional matching trailer, and cruise control showing that this car was loaded above and beyond its time 18 years ago. This car has less than 3000 miles on the clock and it shows as much meaning that it should not last long as finding this car in this condition is a true rarity. This 2001 Chrysler Prowler is at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible! This one has had the engine replaced with a Pontiac 400 CI in 2017, with just over 1000 miles on the Rebuild. The Pontiac Firebird was an American automobile built by Pontiac from the 1967 to 2002 model years. The first generation Firebird had characteristic Coke bottle styling shared with its cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro. Announcing a Pontiac styling trend, the Firebirds bumpers were integrated into the design of the front end, giving it a more streamlined look than the Camaro. The Firebirds rear slit taillights were inspired by the 1966–1967 Pontiac GTO. Both a two-door hardtop and a convertible were offered through the 1969 model year. Originally, the car was a consolation prize for Pontiac, which had desired to produce a two-seat sports car based on its original Banshee concept car. However, GM feared this would cut into Chevrolet Corvette sales, and gave Pontiac a piece of the pony car market through sharing the F-body platform with Chevrolet. The styling difference from the 1967 to the 1968 model was the addition of federally-mandated side marker lights: for the front of the car, the turn signals were made larger and extended to wrap around the front edges of the car, and on the rear, the Pontiac (V-shaped) Arrowhead logo was added to each side. The front door vent-windows were replaced with a single pane of glass and Astro Ventilation, a fresh-air-inlet system. The 1969 model received a major facelift with a new front end design but unlike the GTO, it did not have the Endura bumper. The instrument panel and steering wheel were revised. The ignition switch was moved from the dashboard to the steering column with the introduction of GMs new locking ignition switch/steering wheel Don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of Pontiac Firebird history in our Denver Showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this wonderful 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Edition for sale in our St. Louis showroom. During the last two years of its run, Pontiac offered a special engine and appearance package known as the Turbo Trans Am. Due to the increasing emissions restrictions, Pontiac dropped all its large displacement engines, including the venerable 400 CID V8 following the 1979 model year. Along with a conventional 305 CID small-block V8, Pontiac offered the first forced induction production engine, a turbo charged 301 V8 in 1980-81. The 4.9L Turbo was unique in that it had a stronger block with thicker cylinder walls and a lower compression ratio given the increased pressure created by the turbo system. Also included were newly developed internals including forged pistons, high pressure oil pump, a roller fillet crankshaft with 2 counterbalances, fully baffled oil pan and turbo specific exhaust manifolds. The 301 Turbo was officially factory rated at 210hp and 345lb ft of torque and mated to a TH350 automatic transmission and 3.08 Posi rear end. In 1980, Johnny Rutherford won his 3rd Indianapolis 500, a race that featured the 1980 Turbo Trans Am as the Official Pace Car. This beautiful limited-edition model shows its original Cameo White exterior and Oyster White interior finishes and the owner states 15,505 original miles! The numbers matching vehicle includes T-Tops, AM/FM Stereo Cassette, Power Locks, Power Windows, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Cloth and Vinyl Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and ice-cold AC. This piece of history is located at our St. Louis showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is offering this sharp 1989 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo 20th Anniversary. Number 848 of only 1550 made and one of the 150 Indy 500 Pace Cars for the race. Pontiac sure got it right with this version of the Trans Am. With a unique Turbocharged 3.8 Liter V6 under the hood, this Brid was the best performing since the 455 Super Duties. Pontiac under rated these boosted T/As at 250 HP and 345 lb ft of torque. These super sixes could get to 60mhp in 4.6 seconds and though the 1/4 mile in 13.4 seconds. Theres no surprise this Trans Am has no problem pacing the 1989 Indianapolis 500. It is rumored that this was the first pace car that didnt need any performance modifications to keep up. They simply installed a light bar and the communication equipment and sent it out on the track. This example is a well-maintained beauty with only a little over 9000 miles. Sounding great with the stainless-steel exhaust makes for a fun driving experience. The vehicle drives as tightly as youd expect for such a low mileage vehicle. The white paint is in great shape as well as the camel leather interior. It sports the classic gold diamond spoke wheels which were the style for the period. This modern classic is a collectible as well as a great driver car. The performance is great, the rush of the turbo is exhilarating, and the modern driving technology makes this car very desirable. You can see this collectible 1989 Pontiac trans Am Turbo 20th Anniversary Pace Car edition in greater detail in our Tampa Florida showroom or at www.gatewayclassicars.com. Description:

For sale is an 1947 Chevrolet Stylemaster Sport Coupe located in our Kansas City showroom! In 1947 Chevrolet produced around 33,000 Stylemaster Sport Coupes making this rarer than a comparable Ford model for this year. This 1947 Chevrolet Stylemaster is powered by a rebuilt 327 CID. With options like Air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, cruise control and a beautiful gray and black interior you will be not only riding in comfort but style. Some other history about The Chevrolet Stylemaster is that it was also produced by General Motors-Holdens in Australia. As Holden had carried over the body tooling from its 1942 models, the Australian sedan differed from its US counterpart in having a different body with rear-hinged back doors and a larger trunk. The grilles fitted to the Australian models were the same as those used on the US models. Australian production included a coupe utility, which was, like the sedan, produced in 1946, 1947 and 1948 models. Not only does this classic Chevrolet have that awesome hot rod stance, the rumble of the V8 under the hood and the spotless Chrysler vintage red regency paint job will sure to make your neighbors envious! To view this vehicle in greater detail along with a video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or in our Kansas City showroom! Description:

We are excited to have for sale in our Gateway Classic Car Saint Louis Showroom is a very rare 1949 MG YT 2DR Tourer Convertible. BACKGROUND: Only 904 YTs were built for export to the United States from 1947 to 1950. The MG YT cars used rack and pinion steering, which was a rarely seen option for a car in America at the time. This particular MG YT fires right up and purrs just like a kitten. It runs and drives very well and is ready for a new owner to drive and enjoy it as often as desired. It is utilizing the same engine as the TC, a 1250cc 4 cylinder, but with higher compression and two 1 BBL carburetors producing 54.4 horsepower and 64 lb-ft of torque. The independent front suspension setup features unequal length A-arms and coil springs to provide valuable feedback to the driver. Also standard were drum brakes and 16-inch wheels on all four corners. The chassis on the YT utilized a steel ladder frame, it was often and incorrectly said to be made of wood. What was made of wood, most of which was oak, was the framework on which the bodywork was hung. The MG YT Touring Convertible has 2 doors and seats 4 passengers. The interior features leather upholstery and wood grain accents, which was much more refined than the earlier MG T-Series sports cars. This YT body is finished in light beige with metallic brown fenders and a dark brown cloth convertible top. The exterior color combination beautifully matches the beige leather interior with dark brown piping throughout. The odometer reads 1,946, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1949 MG YT 2DR Tourer Convertible include Leather Upholstery, Manual Convertible Top, Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Hub Caps. To view this 1949 MG YT in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this top shelf, fully restored, 1973 Triumph TR6. The TR6 is considered the last of the traditional British open sports cars. These cars offered pure, open air, sports car motoring experience that is unique to the brand. The sound, the feel and the handling is something that any driving enthusiast should experience. The traditional design, mechanical reliability and parts availability make the easy to own and enjoy. For these reasons, they have become proven investments. The 1973 TR6 offered here has been the recipient of a complete high quality restoration completed approximately 2 years ago. It is finished in very attractive Garnett Red Pearl exterior paint over saddle tan interior with black vinyl reflective top. It is powered by its rebuilt 2.5 liter engine fed by its signature dual Stromberg Carbs and intake, 4 speed transmission and rear wheel drive. The interior is all new with all correct materials featuring high back seats, Smiths gauges, correct new tan carpeting, wood dash fascia, JVC sound system, high quality wood steering wheel, roll bar etc. The exterior paint is to die for. The Garnett Red Pearl affect paint lays very flat, very glossy and jumps in the sunshine, and the silver competition stripe package give this TR6 a definite edge in the curb appeal department. The engine bay is highly detailed and features all new hoses, clamps and hardware. An aluminum valve cover dons the top on the engine, the shroud is new etc. Other mechanical highlights included new cam, new brake master cylinder, new drums, new springs, new bearings, new cam, tappets, new vacuum advance, headers, exhaust etc. The underside is finished off and all the suspension pieces, grommets, bushings, etc. are new at the time of restoration. The performance of this cool TR6 is amazing. The car accelerates strong through all gears, the suspension and steering is tight giving timely feed back to the driver, and the car brakes most excellently. This TR6 is a high quality as well as a car that is a blast to drive. These cars continue to be undervalued as the European sports car market remains on fire. No wrong decision here. Options on this 1973 Triumph TR6 include: AM/FM Radio w/CD, Manual Top, Cruise, Power Brakes, Leather interior, Seat Belts and Rally wheels with Radial Tires. This 1973 Triumph TR6 is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
