Description:

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a 1965 Chevrolet Impala 454. To some readers, the headline “1965 Chevrolet Impala 454” might sound a little funny, and they’d be right to think so, because the 454 was not offered in the Impala until 1970. This Carmine Red ’65 droptop Impala has been turned into the ultimate cruiser by way of big block swap, and to top it all off, this 454 is fuel injected. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a 700 R4 transmission with a Corvette servo and can be heard on the back end through dual exhaust. Other driver-friendly improvements can be found around the car, such as power brakes, power steering, LED taillights, halogen headlights, and satellite radio. This is an absolute statement car, and whether the power top is up or down, it cruises like the king of the road that it is. To view this 1695 Chevrolet Impala 454 in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom at 817-310-9400 or email at dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this professionally built 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne L72 tribute car. This Chevrolet Biscayne L72 tribute has 70,714 miles on the odometer and is powered by a 427 cubic inch engine, which started out as 425 horsepower. The addition of 2 Holley 450 CFM 4-barrel carburetors, Hooker Competition Headers with free flowing exhaust through the Flow Master mufflers a MSD Pro-Billet Street Distributor, MSD Blaster 2 Ignition Coil and MSD Digital 6AL Ignition Controller, has brought this 427 to over 500 horsepower. Keeping it cool is the new aluminum radiator and a Moroso Street/Strip 7 qt. Oil Pan ensures the big 427 is supplied with plenty of oil. Transferring that power to the rear wheels is a Richmond Gear Super Street 5-Speed Transmission with Overdrive bolted to a Lakewood Safety (blow proof) Bellhousing with a McLeod Super StreetPro Clutch. The original 12 bolt 3.36 Posi-traction rear end has been updated with a Eaton Posi Performance Differentials positive traction unit, Hotchkis Sport Suspension Rear Suspension upper & lower boxed control arms and a B&M Differential Cover. Of course with this much power & speed potential you need to be able to stop safely. Thats where the power assisted four (4) wheel disc brakes come in. Between the power brakes and the power steering this Biscayne is a pleasure to drive. The old school look is accented by the Vintage Polished Lip 15X8.5 Torque Thrust Wheels complete with Redline tires. This 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne presented in a deep shine Black exterior paint and tan interior complete with am/fm/cd stereo system is a terrific representation of a classic sleeper of the early muscle car era. By 1966, GMs intermediates, with near 400-cu in engines crammed between their fender wells, were rising in popularity faster than the hemlines of the day. The muscle car era had arrived. Race tracks across the country were serving as the proving grounds for myriad new high-performance powertrain combos from the Big Three. Though muscle cars were gaining momentum, full-size cars were far from washed up as racers. GTOs, Chevelle SSs, 4-4-2s and Gran Sports got bigger engines, but the full-size cars still got the biggest ones. Some denizens of the drag strip couldnt resist the lure of stuffing the largest displacement engine possible in the lightest body in which they could order it. So when Chevrolet pulled the wraps off of its new 427-cu in variation of the Mark IV big-block engine family, introduced just the year prior, Chevrolet racers certainly would have wanted to get their hands on one, particularly when it was announced that there would be a high-performance 425hp version, coded L72. Yet, the only way to get the solid-lifter L72 was to buy a Corvette or to select something from the full-size line. But while Chevrolet had made the high-performance 427 available across the full-size car line, the division didnt actually assemble a drag-strip-dedicated packaging of those elements the way some other manufacturers were doing at the time. So, it was up to racers to figure out that the hot setup was the base-model Biscayne two-door pillared sedan with the L72 engine checked off. A handful of savvy faithful did just that and were rewarded with a potent engine package wrapped in a large car that was both lighter and more rigid than an Impala hardtop. The 427 instantly transformed Chevys low-cost sedate sedan into a competitive drag racer. Though model-specific figures have not been found, a total of 1,856 L72 427s were installed across the big-car line in 66. This is the one you want to own. This 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne L72 Tribute car, for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Our Detroit showroom is proud to offer a super unique 1968 Chevrolet C-10. Obviously this isn’t your average C-10. This one has been completely transformed from bumper to bumper with no evidence of this being a C-10. In fact, this super cool Chevy looks a lot more modern than it is. From its one off styling front end with custom rectangle halogens and Chevy emblem turn signals to the custom fabricated truck bed with lovely wood laid down to cover all the custom work underneath. Under the motorized hood rests the 377cid V8 paired to a TH350 3 Speed transmission which put power down to the super wide Hoosier Pro-Street tires wrapped around Weld Racing wheels. The potent 377cid has a Victor Jr Series Edelbrock performance intake that helps beef up power that holds up a 4 barrel carburetor. The ceramic coated headers look new and modern features like power steering make sure that drivability is fun. The Purple paint looks show quality and just received a full clay bar treatment with polish and wax. The interior also carries the purple color scheme which is nicely accented throughout the interior. The comfortable seats seem to be out of a late model GM truck and provide perfect support for long cruises. This truck has been completely customized in and out to show off how cool a 1968 Chevrolet C-10 can be and it is not likely you will see something like this again. This will turn heads at every car show and will likely raise the question “what is it?” at every stop. If you are looking for tire ripping fun with a custom appeal, this is the truck for you. The truck features a subtle leveling kit with 3” in the front and 4” in the rear to give it a much better stance. The truck sits on a nice set of tires with plenty of tread life left in them. The American Racings wheels give the truck a nice look and are in like new condition. The truck also comes with front wheel disk brakes with the classic drums in the rear. The interior on the truck is just as clean as the exterior with a green and black combo. The seats are a black leather and in great condition. The black is also accented along the dash, door panels, and headliner to keep a smooth flow. The custom classic instruments gauge cluster is new to the truck with everything in working condition. Don’t forget the COLD BLOWING A/C which is essential in the hotter parts of the world. This truck is absolutely one worth seeing in person as the pictures simply don’t serve it enough justice. Description:

Up for sale in our Houston showroom is a one off 1965 Chevy Malibu with a 327 V8 with 327hp traveling through a 700R4 transmission shifted courtesy of a red and chrome B&M shifter. The rear end gear is a 3:55 to launch the car effortlessly and still allow lower rpm’s while utilizing the 4 speed transmission. At the top of that sinister mill is a Holly Carburetor on a nice Edelbrock aluminum intake and a mild cam. This small block is decked out with red custom valve covers and Headman headers. They breathe through a custom dual exhaust system that exits in front of the back wheels on each side that looks amazing. In front of this engine is an aluminum radiator, polished power steering components and custom black hood hinges to make the engine compartment clean and cohesive. Upon glancing at the Malibu it’s very apparent that plenty of hours were spent on painting the pewter metallic paint and replacing the chrome with black. The interior is a nice deep red that matches the exterior tastefully. The seatbelts are black and accent the interior well. The front end has been restored including new axles and bushings to maintain that new car feel. On all four corners you will find new brakes and shocks with new springs to make this beauty sit low to add to its menacing look. With creature comforts like power steering and brakes you will enjoy the ease of making this car do whatever you desire. Custom gauges monitor the vitals and are visible through the polished 3 spoke steering wheel. Description:

This numbers matching 1967 Plymouth Fury III is for sale in our Houston Showroom. The car is powered by a 383 CID Commando V8 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. The owner said it only has 13,500 miles since the rebuild and it definitely shows. The car has an 8-track player with a few albums to go with it as well so you can really go back in time! The electric convertible top, power brakes, power steering, vinyl interior and seat belts give you the creature comforts that you want in order to make this classic as comfortable as ever. The car has documentation and a few spares that go with it. Anyone who buys this will own a true gem. For 1967, the Fury body was restyled with a sharp, angular profile. The stacked quad headlight bezels were curvier and set more deeply into the body, giving the car a more muscular look. The rooflines had sharper angles and gave the car a longer, more luxurious appearance. A new, formal two-door hardtop body style appeared which featured smaller rear quarter windows and a wider, back-slanted C pillar. Called the fast top, it was offered alongside the restyled thin C pillar hardtop in both VIP and Sport Fury series (as well as on corresponding big Dodge models). The 1967 model year introduced new safety regulations, which meant that for the first time, all Plymouths included dual-circuit brake master cylinder, energy-absorbing steering column and wheel, recessed instrument panel controls, and shoulder belt mounting points for outboard front seat occupants. This beauty is located at our Houston location showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com, or call (832) 243-6220 for additional information.

The Tampa Showroom is honored to be listing this 1963 Ford Thunderbird for sale. A bullet bird, how cool is this ride! This Thunderbird has a 390ci V-8 with an automatic transmission. The T-bird has a newer top and the interior has been lifted from the old to the new with carpet an, seats, and door panels. The newer paint looks very good and this bullet is ready for the road. During the build, new brakes, gas tank & lines, transmission serviced, a new Holly carburetor, driveshaft balanced, trunk mat kit, master cylinders, power booster, and multiple trim pieces. Heads have been hardened to accept regular gasoline. This bird comes with a cover, extra rear bumpers, original heads, carburetor, and fuel pump. All this work was completed 2012 and with only 535 miles put on the odometer since the build. The third generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury car produced by Ford for the 1961 to 1963 model years. It featured new and much sleeker styling than the second generation models. Sales were strong, if not quite up to record-breaking 1960, at 73,051 including 10,516 convertibles. A new, larger 390 cu in 6.4 L FE-series V8 was the only engine available in 1961. The Thunderbird was 1961s Indianapolis 500 pace car, and featured prominently in US President John F. Kennedys inaugural parade, probably aided by the appointment of Ford executive Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense. It shared some styling cues with the much smaller European Ford Corsair. Changes for 1963 were relatively mild. Some additions to the option list included vacuum assisted door locks and an AM/FM radio; an AM radio and a remote drivers side mirror became standard. Options include: Power Brakes, AM radio, Hub Caps, Power steering, power top, vinyl interior, tilt wheel, radial tires, power windows, . Description:

Offered for sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this 1949 GMC ¾ Ton Pickup. This special Advance Design pickup has come a long way from its early life on a Mid-Missouri farm. Owned and restored by Dale Jacobs of Dallas, Texas, this 1949 GMC ¾ ton has been down to the frame and came out just a little nicer than new. It’s the old story. It looked very nice and ran just as well but a little extra touch would make it a nicer pickup. Well, the more he got into areas, the more he saw things that just were not quite right. After all it was a farm work truck for so many years. Before long you are tired of seeing so many imperfections, you check your bank account, and say “Let’s just make it a new truck”. It will only take time and money! It was taken down to the bare frame (the easiest part) and the building of the oversize model kit begins. This four-year “frame off” TOTAL restoration project of this “numbers matching” GMC ¾ ton pickup involved doing much research, making local new restoration contacts, and learning so much about early GMC’s. The “Ron Kelly Designs” complete rebuild of this original drivetrain and chassis included the GMC 228 engine long block (.08 over rebore), head, flywheel, clutch, 4-speed on the floor transmission with “granny” gear, drive shaft and rear end, all dynamically balanced. Modifications to improve performance include full-flow oil filtering, dual 2-barrel Stromberg carburetors adaptation to original intake manifold with new linkage, and Fenton dual exhaust headers with custom muffler routing. Dale’s ¾ ton has the optional 17” split rim wheels instead of the stock 15”. (These were original on the 1 ton pickup of these years). The extra 2” gives the truck a higher top end speed and lowers the engine RPM. Good during daily in-town driving. Another very unique fixture is the intake manifold. The original single barrel carburetor intake center hole was blocked off. Then front and rear carburetor receiver openings were installed to hold a pair of two-barrel Stromberg’s. It operates excellent and is probably the only one of its kind in the world! What an eye catcher! He says it easily cruises at almost 70 mph! The chassis rebuild involved frame powder coating, front and rear spring leafs with helpers, Delco lever arm shocks, duel master cylinder brake system, front end and steering linkage with drive box. The electrical system conversion to 12 volts included the original Delco starter and generator, regulator, new Mallory dual point distributor and coil, new wiring harness, 4 corner lighting with halogen headlights and turn signaling. A new water pump, radiator with expansion cylinder and hoses improve the cooling system. All body panels were COMPLETELY disassembled and, along with the cab, subjected to a strip and de-rust total immersion process. Reassembly with new fasteners was preceded by extensive applications of epoxy and urethane primers and initial custom lacquer paint then followed by final lacquer paint and clear coatings. Cab restoration involved new door handles, hinges and panels, headliner with insulation, sun visors, gauge cluster and speedometer, vintage GMC reproduction stereo AM/FM radio and 7 new glass windows allowing a surround view. The air flow heater with control valve and defroster ducts, vacuum wiper motor with linkage, fuel tank with new sender, and all pedal controls were also restored to original specifications. Traversing seat with era appropriate new upholstery allows comfort with a vintage signature. Firewall, roof, floor and doors all received sound deadening applications. Finishing touches include the re-chromed original grill, badging, radiator fan and added dual trumpet horns. Color coordinated powder coated engine side and valve covers enhance the engine bay. Also evident are new bumpers with valences, vintage Unity spot and fog lights, chromed fuel tank linkage, and powder coated original split rim wheels with new 750-17 tires. An eye-catching top grade oak bed and side rails with stainless linings and fasteners complete this classic restoration. To view this special 1949 GMC ¾ Ton Pickup in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Dallas-Fort Worth Showroom at 817-310-9400 or email at dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

For sale in our Dallas showroom is this awesome 1981 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler. This CJ8 comes furnished with a bad to the bone Deep grey Kevlar camoliner. So, you can go through any type of terrain and not worry about scratching the paint. This is the first year for Jeep to make the CJ-8 and they only produced 8,355 of them. So, it’s quite difficult to find a CJ-8 as nice as this one. They stopped production of the CJ-8 in 1986. The CJ-8 comes equipped with a 4.0 L six-cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual transmission that came out of a 2002 Jeep Wrangler. The original inline six engine in the CJ-8 was only putting out 110HP and the new stump pulling 4.0L out of the 2002 wrangler puts out 190HP. It also comes with a carb conversion that gives it enough torque to climb up a 90-degree wall while in low gear. All wiring has been replaced and every gauge and light works. This CJ-8 has a 3-inch lift kit that’s sitting on 36-inch Maxxis all terrain tires wrapped around 20’’ Moto Metal rims. This very detailed restoration took a little over a year and a half to complete and attention to detail and high-end parts were the focus. Don’t miss out on this well restored Beast. To view this 1981 Jeep CJ-8 in greater detail including HD pictures and videos, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Or call 817-310-9400
