Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is excited to welcome this Pro Street 1978 Chevrolet Corvette to our showroom. Pro street cars are not always built with drivability in mind. The owner of this car however built it so that it feels very comfortable on the highway. This Corvette started life as a 1978 Corvette Pace Car. There are very few traces of that car remaining today. The outside is finished in Meadow Green Metallic. The interior is Black and in excellent condition. The engine is a 355 CI V8 with a 671 BDS Blower and Hilbourne Fuel injection. The engine was built by Lorenzos Fast Flow Cylinders and was putting out over 600 HP before the fuel injection was added. A Turbo 400 automatic transmission with reverse manual valve body, trans brake and line lock transfers the power to a 9 in Ford rear with 4:33 gears and a nodular center section. A wildwood 4 wheel disc setup brings this beast to a stop and adjustable rear shocks and 90/10 racing shocks upfront keep the rubber on the road. The car is equipped with power steering and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel. The ignition is electronic MSD and everything is controlled by a Fast Systems computer. The rear wing is an aluminum custom fabrication that helps to keep the tires hooked to the asphalt. The wheelie bars look great, and they are not welded on, so they can be removed for a more discreet look. To view this 1978 Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video shot with the owner putting this car through it’s paces, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

Now for sale at Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this sleek 1999 Plymouth Prowler. Between the eye catching paint job and the peppy engine, this car is definitely something you dont see every day. Under the pointed hood of this sweet ride is a 3.5-liter DOHC V-6 engine that runs well and provides plenty of power for this small, agile car. Although this engine only puts out around 250 horsepower, the car is quick thanks to a curb weight under 2,900 pounds. There are few V-6 engines that sound very good, but this one sounds great! Sending the power to the rear end is a four-speed automatic transmission that shifts smooth, yet firmly through the gears to provide an engaging driving experience. Overall, the powertrain of this car feels solid and does much more with its power than one might expect. Moving inward, the driver will be greeted by a black leather interior thats pretty clean and in good condition. The seats are comfortable and provide good support for cornering and aggressive driving. In the summer time the driver will appreciate the convertible soft top that functions properly without binding. If the driver decides to keep the top up, the cabin will be kept comfortable thanks to air conditioning that blows cold. In the wintertime, the driver will appreciate the heat. This car also has convenience features including a radio/CD player, cruise control, power locks, tilt wheel, keyless entry, power mirrors, and an anti-theft system. Overall, the interior is comfortable, but can get cramped for anyone over 61. Moving outward, the exterior is finished in a custom two-tone burnt orange/ silver paint-job with ghosted orange flames using DuPont paint products. The pain is in decent condition with some imperfection, but nothing too major. The soft top is in good condition. The car sits atop chrome alloy wheels wrapped in rubber with decent tread life left. Overall, the car is in pretty good shape and drives well. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is menacing black 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Two Door Sport Coupe. When you think of a classic car that embraces the American tradition, this is that car. Being a part of the second generation known as the “Hot One, this gorgeous example is just that. The Bel Air stands superior to its base models 150 and 210, having more chrome trim, as well as the classic chrome-lined wedges on the rear fenders. This 1957 Bel Air Sport Sedan sports a classy black coat of paint accompanied by a black vinyl interior, with a split bench front seat. Its powertrain consists of a 350 CID V8 crate engine, which is topped by an Edelbrock 4BBL carb, and backed by a column-shifted TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Its dual exhaust system gives it a muscular sound, but the cast iron exhaust manifolds help keep it from being too noisy. The big aluminum radiator helps keep the big 350 running in the green zone. When you are in the drivers seat cruising down the road with the Vintage AC air conditioning blowing cold, you feel you have one of the nicest collector cars out there, but it is not until you pull up to a show and notice the admiring glances that everyone is sending your way, that you feel most proud. Additional options on this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Two Door Sport Sedan include: Air Conditioning, a vintage-style AM/FM radio (not hooked up), Chrome-plated American Racing wheels, Power Steering, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Seats. Description:

Factory Ford Mustang Race Car. This purpose built Stang, has enjoyed the good life flying around the track. Now with only 7850 miles on her and the recent paint job in 2015, she is looking for a new home. The Ford Racing Mustang FR500 is a highly tuned race variant of the Ford Mustang, featuring a V8 engine. These are turn key race cars not designed for public road use. Each FR500 model is built with a unique Ford Racing number, and not a DOT VIN. Each is built when ordered through Ford Racing. Each FR500 is built by the same plant, in Flat Rock (Michigan), as the standard Mustang. Powered by Fords 4.6L V8 engine, it is rated at 325HP. The FR500S is often slotted in between the FR500C (Boy Racer) and FR500GT (Man Racer). The car was designed by both Ford Racing and Miller Motorsports for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge series (a racing series founded by Larry Miller). The car features similar aerodynamic parts like those used on the FR500GT, but uses a DOT approved racing tire BF Goodrich g-Force R1. With the end of the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge, the FR500S has been homologated for competition in the SCCA World Challenge GTS class. The transmission is the same six-speed Tremec T6060 used in the Shelby GT500 paired to a severe-duty clutch. The rear axle assembly is borrowed from the Bullitt Mustang parts bin with a 3.73:1 ratio and sturdier pinion bearing, with a Ford Racing/Torsen limited-slip differential installed. To view the car in greater detail, including an HD video and 100+ HD pictures please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our Denver showroom. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is offering this well-documented 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Indy Pace Car convertible for sale in our Arizona showroom, adorned in a brilliant white with the Pace Car graphics. Make no mistake; this is not a replica, but a fully documented car that paraded the track during the Indy 500 festivities. This is a true pace car and is the number 11 car. There is even more to this historic car than meets the eye, like the A/C, AM radio, rally wheels, power brakes, power steering, and more. Look at the trunk photos and youll see that the original spare tire still resides there, just like it did since the car rolled the Brickyard. The president of the Indy Festival rode in this specific car as well. The white top contrasts nicely with the all-black interior. The 350 Old’s engine was chosen for parade lap duties because of its reliability, and that same drivetrain still lives and breathes between the front shock towers. For a truly unique muscle car from a by-gone era, dont miss this beautiful 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Indy Pace Car convertible for sale right now. It wont last long! Remember yesterday’s thinkers are todays buyers. Our 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Pace Car includes: Seat belts, AC, Power Steering, and radial tires.
