Description:

Our Detroit Showroom of Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a very unique and rare 1970 Mercury Marquis Convertible. As the horsepower wars started to wind down, the American automotive scene started to take a turn where vehicles were focused on personal luxury and style. This awesome land yacht is the lucky recipient of a nice restoration to make it extremely presentable and ready for topless cruises. There were only 1,233 of these produced and even less that have been preserved and pampered like this one. With only 2,000 miles since it was restored, this Marquis has plenty of cruising life left. The gorgeous Blue paint is clean, fresh, and flows nicely with the Beige leather interior. The interior is a leather instead of a vinyl and makes a difference in comfort and appeal. Under the large hood rests a potent 429CID V8 that pumps out enough torque to get this beauty rolling with ease. The vehicle does come with its original set of wheels and shiny set of chromes to change the look if that is what youre going for. The 1970 Marquis is an iconic convertible that you rarely see on the road. Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Saint Louis Showroom is a first-year first-generation Ford Thunderbird painted in a rare Goldenrod Yellow with a white soft top, white hardtop with black and white two-toned interior. Powering this classic is a 292-cubic inch V8, the only available engine for 1955. This one is equipped with a manual 3 speed transmission and optional over drive. The over drive is a neat unit. Once in 3rd gear and youre ready, pull the T handle beneath the dash and youre in! Other equipment includes power seats, wide white wall radial tires and a white hardtop. To add some personal touches, the previous owner decided to paint the hard-top white as opposed to keeping it body color as the factory would have painted it. The soft top is also white which would have been black fabric from the factory. These personal touches give the car a unique look and help it stand out from other 55 Thunderbirds. This is easily reversible if someone chooses. Recent maintenance includes new tires, new clutch and a rebuilt carburetor. In 1955 Ford introduced the Thunderbird to knock a dent into Corvette sales. Ford accomplished this with flying colors. 1955 Corvette production reached 700 units compared to Fords whopping 16,155! Chevrolet needed some serious help if they were going to save the Corvette. Eventually, Ford decided to lean more towards the luxury side and away from the performance side that the Corvette was pursuing. The Thunderbird has had a long and interesting run over the years. However, theres no mistaking the first run of the 1955 through 1957 T-Birds. They are the most collectible of any Thunderbird and will always be the most collectible. These hard and soft top equipped Thunderbirds are very cool, giving you the coupe and convertible feel all in one car. Call our Saint Louis showroom for more information on this early T-bird at 618-271-3000 or email STL@gatewayclassiccars.com. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this regal looking 1972 Mercedes-Benz 280SE for sale right now in our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. This vehicle came from the W108 series of Mercedes cars, whose production spanned from 1965-1972 and is recognizable the world over considering over 300,000 of these sedans were sold in their various configurations. However, 1972 was the only year Mercedes offered a V8 in this car. Our 1972 Mercedes is a California car from new and has only had two owners as well. It looks superb even in a plain-Jane shade of white exterior paint but you know its a high-end car as soon as you set your eyes on that famous three-pronged star on the hood (the Mercedes emblem), not to mention the chrome pieces everywhere else. Inside, its classic German luxury with real wood and blue leather seats. This car is extremely spacious and features options such as air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, power windows and four doors. Under the hood of this Stuttgart-assembled tank is a fuel-injected 4.5l V8 engine tied to a 3-speed automatic transmission with the shifter fully dressed in chrome and located on the floor- the Germans didnt mess with that column shifting nonsense! These are such sleek looking cars and it really is a privilege to have a quality example right here in our showroom. When you drive this 1972 Mercedes you get more attention than driving a new one! Give our helpful and knowledgeable Sales staff a call today at (623) 900-4884 about this 1972 Mercedes-Benz 280SE or any of our other inventory for sale. Description:

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this incredible 1989 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo 20th Anniversary. Pontiac sure got it right with this version of the Trans Am. With a unique Turbocharged 3.8 Liter V6 shared with the Buick Grand National, this Bird is ready to go! Pontiac under-rated these boosted T/As at 250 HP and 345 lb ft of torque. These super sixes could get to 60mph in 4.6 seconds and through the 1/4 mile in 13.4 seconds. A few minor modifications make this ‘Bird a fair amount quicker, and you are sure to be surprised at what it can do! It is rumored that this was the first pace car that needed no performance modifications in order to keep up. They simply installed a light bar and the communication equipment and got it out on the track. This particular example is a well maintained 3 owner car with only 24,569 miles. This car has a larger-diameter stainless steel exhaust which sounds incredible. The vehicle drives as tightly as youd expect for such a low mileage vehicle. The white paint is in great shape as well as the tan leather interior. It sports the OEM desirable “Honey comb wheels in gold, which show wonderfully. This modern classic is a collectible as well as a great car to drive. The handling performance is enthralling and the rush of the turbo is exhilarating. Hold on tight when driving this turbo-bird! With plenty of power on tap at the rear wheels of this powerful Pontiac, and being such a low-mileage example, this Firebird is going to keep you smiling for a long time! Options include: AM/FM Radio, Spare Tire, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Power Mirrors, Leather Interior, and a Positraction rear axle. For more information on this incredible 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am 20th Anniversary Edition Pace Car, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. This very cool 1954 Nash Metropolitan is now available for sale in our Milwaukee showroom. You will grab everyones attention driving down the road in this beauty. This green and white beauty has a 1,498 cc 4-cylinder engine with “three-on-the-tree transmission. While most U.S. automobile makers were following a bigger-is-better philosophy, Nash Motor Company executives were examining the market to offer American buyers an economical transportation alternative. The Metropolitan was designed in the U.S. and it was patterned from a concept car, the NXI (Nash Experimental International), that was built by Detroit-based independent designer William J. Flajole for Nash-Kelvinator. It was designed as the second car in a two-car family, for Mom taking the kids to school or shopping or for Dad to drive to the railroad station to ride to work: the commuter/shopping car with resemblance to the big Nash, but the scale was tiny as the Mets wheelbase was shorter than the Volkswagen Beetles. This Nash is also equipped with a convertible top on it to let the parts of a beautiful day in when the weather permits. It is all too easy to say that you will not find too many Metropolitans in this good of condition so dont miss out on your chance to own something truly special today! This 1954 Nash Metropolitan is available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this awesome 1969 Pontiac GTO at our Philadelphia showroom, located in West Deptford, NJ! In 1969, Pontiac was still going after the youth market with its sporty GTO and the introduced the Judge model to try and halt a decline in sales. For an additional $332 over the price of a GTO, you got a Ram Air III induction (later upgraded to the Ram Air IV), a three-speed gearbox with floor shifter, Rally II wheels, heavy duty suspension and the ’68 400 CID HO powerplant. While the Judge arguably became the best “bang-for-your-buck” muscle car, it was only a temporary success in halting the wane in GTO sales. While this may not be a real judge, this GTO still packs a punch with 400 CID V8 engine with just under 35,500 actual miles! Equipped with a new Edlebrock® aluminum intake manifold and EDL-2056 carburetor, this car gets down the road swiftly! Wearing a coat of Matador Red, this GTO has Judge decals and the familiar sport stripes! Open the doors and you’ll be greeted by a handsome black interior featuring front bucket seats, a sweet shifter linked to the automatic transmission and a neat Sears Roebuck environmental control add-on, how cool is that? Cruise to some tunes with the Pioneer® AM/FM Radio and CD Player or the groovy 8-Track Player just like the good old days. Included with this car is a copy of the window sticker when the car was sold new in Pitman, NJ back in October 1968 for $4,232.02! Don’t miss out on this terrific Goat and continue the tradition with “The Great One!” Additional features include Air Conditioning and Power Steering. Description:

For Sale in our Detroit Showroom is the infamous 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT Convertible. Also known as Terminator, Fords Special Vehicles Team (SVT) really outdid themselves when producing this powerful pony. Upon its release, Ford engineers were claiming a whopping 390 horsepower to the crank out of the Supercharged 4.6L DOHC motor, however, Ford engineers under-rated this popular pony and stock 2004 Cobras were reportedly pushing between 415HP-425HP to the rear wheels! This particular 04 Cobra however has been modified by Paul’s High Performance with a larger throttle body, 2.80 Supercharger Pulley, AFCO dual pass heat exchanger, cold air package, and custom PCM flash bringing the power output to an impressive 447 horsepower and 447 lb. ft. of torque verified on the dyno and with the addition of the new Borla exhaust you can hear the power long before you see it blow on by. The only transmission option for the 2004 Mustang Cobra is a Tremec T-56 6-Speed manual and paired to the recently replaced McLeod Super Street Pro clutch and a short throw shifter does an amazing job at translating power to ground. In 2004, only 1,896 Mustang Cobra Convertibles were produced with only 1,104 available that are identical to this particular pony. This Mustang Cobra is in beautiful condition with just 38,468 miles on the odometer and would be a perfect addition to any fine automobile collection. The Gloss Black paint is very rare and paired with the SVT Wheels wrapped in Michelin tires makes this Cobra look very menacing and aggressive. Take a look inside and you will find a near new interior sporting leather seats with Gray Suede inserts. This Mustang is equipped with all the modern amenities you would expect from a late model sports car including Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Bags, Traction Control, Anti-Lock Brakes, A/C and AM/FM Radio with CD Player. If you are looking for a Terminator Cobra, this is the one. You will be hard pressed to find another Cobra in this condition. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1976 Porsche 914. This 914 has the 2.0L engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. The silver paint is good shape and contrasts nicely with the rare cream interior. The wheels are also in good shape which are equipped with new Vredestein tires. The motor is original to the car. This 914 has AC and the Targa Top. The interior is in good condition with no rips or tears. This 914 fires right up and purs, as well as stops great with its PMB performance brakes. This car was originally bought and sold in Georgia before coming to Indiana in April of 2017. Heres how the 914 came to be, according to Classic Motorsports: In the late 60s, Porsche needed a replacement for the 911s low-rent four-cylinder cousin, the 912. At the same time, VW needed a replacement for the Karmann-Ghia that would ideally be more than just a fanciful-bodied Beetle. Perhaps over some hefeweizen and sauerkraut, Ferry Porsche and VW executive Heinz Nordhoff hammered out an agreement where their respective companies would build the car together. The car would be designed by Porsche and powered by a VW engine, and under their original plan, both manufacturers were to get a version of the car. But after Nordhoff died, a new executive mandated that the car be sold in Europe as the VW-Porsche 914. In America, it was simply sold as a Porsche. As one might expect from the cars size, weight, and mid-engine architecture, the handling is quite sharp. This 1976 Porsche 914 for sale is located in our Indianapolis Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including a High Def video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Now available in our Kansas City Showroom is this Beautiful 1964 Chevrolet Nova SS. With only 30 miles since the rebuild this car is just waiting to be driven! Under the hood it has a 283 rebuilt engine and a Powerglide Transmission it does not want to sit around the garage all day! For 1964, sales were hit hard by the introduction of the new Chevelle, and the Chevy II received its first factory V8 option, a 195 hp (145 kW) 283 cu in (4.6 l), as well as a 230 cu in (3.8 l) straight six. The six-cylinder was actually the third generation engine, replacing the second generation Stovebolt. Rival manufacturer Chrysler had earlier developed the Slant Six in their Plymouth Valiant, a Chevy II competitor, when the cars were introduced to the public in late 1959 as 1960 models. At introduction in the fall, the hardtop coupe was missing in the lineup, contributing to a loss of sales (as well as showroom appeal). Chevrolet subsequently reintroduced the Sport Coupe in the lineup later in the model year, and it remained available through 1967. This 1964 Chevrolet Nova SS has a stunning Beige and Fawn paint job just like it was back in its day! With a rare floor shifter it will impress everyone who sees it. Inside of this Sedan Delivery are steely-gray cloth seats that are woven nice and tight and show no signs of wear. The floor of the delivery cabin is dark gray painted wood.
