Description:

This super cool 1939 Ford Coupe is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. The Hot Rodding culture explodes after WWII ended. Serviceman returned home and factories which supported the war effort were resuming their normal activities. Older vehicles that survived were now being refurbished into something that reflected more of the Individual’s personality. In some cases, it consisted of a wild pant job, sometimes an upgrade to the interior, maybe the body was altered with a chopped top or a hot new engine replaced the factory original in order to gain more performance. In many cases, all these things happened for a truly one of a kind vehicle. This ’39 Ford Coupe fits this description well. With a Chopped top, a lowered stance, chrome bumpers removed and flush mounted door handles, this old hot now has a much sleeker look. The body has been painted in a deep gloss black that accents the curves of this beautiful body. Pin Striping has been kept to a minimum, but check out the trim molding. Yup, it’s a painted graphic, and it looks pretty neat. The interior was redone in leather a while back, giving the inside a nice cozy feel when driving or riding along for Cruise Night. The ’39 Coupe has AC (some service will be needed), so cruising on a Hot Summer night you can keep cool, while looking cool. Many times when the engine is replaced with a more modern powerful unit, the brand is changed due to cost and availability of speed parts. Typically old Ford Hot Rods tend to have Chevrolet engines for this very reason. If you are a true Die Hard Blue Oval fan, then you’ll be pleasantly surprised a 351W Ford V8 under the hood. With only 2186 miles on this ’39 Ford’s current configuration, there will be plenty of memories to still be made. Options for this 1939 Ford Coupe include; Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Seats, Power Windows, Tilt Steering Wheel and Steel Wheels with Hub Caps wrapped in radial tires. This 1939 Ford Coupe can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call at 812-294-1555 or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information.

Description:

This awesome 1968 Ford Mustang is available at our Louisville KY showroom. The Terlingua Racing Team was named after a small community in Texas that Carrol Shelby and some close friends bought so they would have a place to go and blow off steam. Eventually Neale would draw up a logo that was placed on Shelby’s first ever GT350r right before its first race. As history has it that car would go on to win that first race and the emblem found its own place in the record books. This example is a great replica of what you would have seen racing in the SCCA Tran Am series of the day. The yellow paint is probably nicer than any of those race cars as it calls out for your attention. The stickers on the car are all classic 60’s and even has Shelby listed as social director which he actually was in Terlingua. Under the hood is a very healthy 302 that has a ton of power with a great exhaust note. Hit the button for the remote cutouts and that sweet exhaust note becomes a nasty growl. The C4 transmission handles the power nicely transferring to the 8 inch rear-end. Open the doors and a black vinyl interior is very inviting. The bucket seats are comfortable while giving you that old school feel. You will see something that never came in the original race cars and that is AC. Yes, you get the look and feel of an old school SCCA race car with the comfort of AC does it really get any better than that. If you have been wanting to get into a car that has the nostalgia racer look with some modern comfort thrown in this is the Pony for you. Options on this 1968 Ford Mustang include, AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. This 1968 Ford Mustang is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

In the last 28 years and only 7,000 miles, this gorgeous ZR1 is almost exactly the way it rolled off of the showroom floor! Boasting 375HP from the factory when the valet key is switched to full, the ZR1 proved to be a whole different animal than your run of the mill C4 Corvette. Other defining features exclusive to the ZR1 includes a wider stance with 11” wheels tucked into the wheel wells, squared off taillights, better brakes, better steering, and one of the most important is the LT5 sitting under the hood. In a partnership with Lotus, Chevrolet was able to produce this power house of an engine. This all aluminum engine featured 32 valve DOHC heads and was built and assembled by Mercury marine. 1990 was the first year of the C4 ZR1 and to purchase one of these from the factory was nearly double what it would have cost you to get a normal Corvette. This 1990 Corvette ZR1 specifically is well documented and is very much original. The only work known to be done has been putting in new injectors and swapping out the factory tires for a set that could handle the speed this car is capable of. It has been well kept over the years and is ready for a new home so if you are in the market for a piece of Corvette history and want something that is enjoyable to cruise, you need to seriously consider this one! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1990 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is excited to have a 1979 Kellison Stallion. The Stallion styled after the AC Cobra was a manufactured car and is not considered a “kit car”. This example number 2 of only 117 was built for Lynda Carter. It was known as the Wonder Woman Car. It is the only Stallion built without side pipes. Legend has it that this was to protect her million-dollar legs. Jim Kellison, who worked at Shelby, designed these cars and they were sold through select Lincoln and Rolls Royce dealers. The Stallion was designed with three key features in mind: safety, dependability and performance. The chassis, which is the foundation of any automobile, reflects these considerations in every detail. The basic chassis design has drawn heavily on the lessons learned in automobile racing by Jim Kellison, which explains the triangulated tubular steel space frame with a monocoque backbone - something normally found only in competition cars where maximum strength and torsional rigidity are achieved with a minimum of weight. The heart of the chassis is the backbone, which consists of a tubular subframe that supports a foam and steel sandwich - two sheets of 20-gauge sheet steel separated by an inch of structural foam. The backbone also insulates the cockpit against the noise and heat of the engine compartment. The backbone and the main rails are the foundation for the rest of the space frame, which provides the Stallion with outstanding crash resistance. Both the front and rear ends have been designed to absorb and dissipate the energy of 30 mph collision. Side penetration resistance is no less impressive: 3 by 4 extensions of the main rails support a network of steel tubing along the side of the cockpit. Each door has an internal framework of steel tubing and steel plates, to which the door hinges and latch mechanism are attached. The chassis was designed around Ford suspension components throughout. This eliminates the durability and service problems long associated with exotic sports cars. The front suspension used in the Stallion was developed by Ford from the experience they gained at Le Mans, Sebring, and Daytona with the GT-40 racing program. The rear end was developed to meet the needs of Grand National stock car racing, and is ideal for high performance applications. While the technical foundation of the Stallion is the heart of the automobile, it is the cars styling that captures the eye. Although the Stallion resembles the AC Cobra, it is neither a copy or a replica. The original Stallion body was basically a full-scale sculpture, built by hand over the prototype chassis and it was from this prototype that the body mold was made. Fundamentally longer and wider than the original, the Stallion also differs in a host of other areas. As far as styling is concerned, the Stallion has the same relationship with the Cobra that the Cobra has with the AC Bristol; similar in appearance, but differing in all other aspects. In this respect, the Stallion follows the traditional pattern of the limited production sports car - each succeeding automobile evolved from the ones preceding, incorporating engineering advances as they occurred while retaining the basic design. The Stallion has drawn on 30 years of automotive racing and technological advances and integrated them into a totally new modern sports car with a body style that harkens back to the early sixties. The Stallion built by the Kellison firm for Ron Samuels and Lynda Carter is a unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-built automobile. To view this 1979 Kellison Stallion in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

For sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago Showroom is this 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera 2. This Porsche sports its original Zanzibar Metallic paint. It has a clean black soft top with black leather interior. The Porsche 911 has been the benchmark for rear engine vehicles since its introduction in 1963. Porsche engineering proved to the world that a straight 6 could compete and beat a V8 engine. In 1998 Porsche decided for the first time to introduce water cooled engines leaving behind its air-cooled engines previously used in all the other 911s. It also received a significant change in styling for its first time in 30+ years. Although the popular straight six engine changed its cooling method the driving experience and pleasure the 911 brings never changed. The 3.6L inline 6 produces about 320 Horsepower. With the car weighing a little less than 3,000 pounds 320 Horsepower is enough to beat just about anything on the streets. When you add the fact that its a 6 speed Manual it makes this 911 an absolute blast to drive. Hop in fire up the engine lower the top and enjoy the driving pleasure that has been making people Porsche fans since its beginning, and with only 34,410 miles on the odometer there are plenty of smiles to be made! When we open the doors we are greeted to a clean and simple black leather interior. In the center dash the car has been fitted with a pioneer radio/navigation touch screen. The car sits atop 17-inch 10 spoke Porsche alloy rims. Description:

For sale in our Milwaukee showroom is this heavily hot-rodded 1951 Mercury Coupe. The 51 Mercury was the end of an era for the Mercury Eight series of vehicles. The last generation to share the name sake, the 1949-1951 was the first post war car for the company and was a success to say the least. The curvaceous lines on these cars are of the most iconic cars to come out of Detroit - as iconic as anything that emerged from the industrys immediate postwar reawakening and those from 1951 are the most popular. Instead of having a somewhat incongruously rounded rump, the 1951 Mercury gained new vertical taillamps, replacing the erstwhile wraparound horizontal units, and regally elevated rear sheet metal to match. The buyers liked it. Few may realize it today, but among the historic three-year run of Mercury that commenced in 1949, the final cars from 1951 held the sales lead. This beautiful 1951 Mercury Coupe is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com; call (262) 891-4253 or email us at milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information.

We are proud to offer this 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible in our Saint Louis showroom. Outside the Monterey Red paint is still in fantastic condition. The wheels have no scuffing or curb rubs. This car is CLEAN! We have an 6.0L LS2 under the hood putting out a consistent 400HP. Transmitting the power is a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for added fun. Chevrolet redesigned the rear differential in 2006 to help put the power to the road. Stepping into the vehicle you are greeted by a khaki colored leather interior with many features. The owner list is short and they cared very well for the car. The interior has been pampered and remains extremely clean. Enjoy a power seat with lumbar support, tilt wheel, cold AC, 6-disc CD player, heated seats, power locks, power mirrors, and key-less entry. This car has been loved and is waiting for a new owner to continue enjoying the ride. The automatic convertible tops works great and makes for a nice cruise. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a true Wolf in Sheep’s clothing. This 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS is not what it seems. From the outside it looks like a standard out of the box Camaro SS. Sitting in the driver seat much is the same except for one digital gauge molded into the dash below the factory Gauge cluster. “What is this?” you might ask yourself. Turn the key and you will begin to understand why this car is so special, give the throttle a tickle and your ears will be filled with the sweet sound of boost! Lift the hood and you will find the soul of the Camaro. This is a Lingenfelter 6.2 liter LS3 forged short block topped with Lingenfelter stage 2 cylinder heads. In the valley lays an ADM Stage 2 Cam with a .588 lift (224/230 588 595 114LSA). Bolted on top is a Magnuson TVS 2300 2.3L Eaton Supercharger driven by a Lingenfelter 14 rib rear belt and carbon fiber prop shaft. Fuel and air are fed by an ADM dual fuel system and ADM Performance Street Intake System. The Exhaust is expelled via American Racing headers and a Magnaflow 3” Competition exhaust. All of that adds up to approximately 800 flywheel horsepower. That power is delivered to the ground through a Lingenfelter ZR1 Clutch, a Tremec TR-6060 6 Speed Manual, and a Lingenfelter 3.70 rear gear. This beast makes a fantastic noise and moves with a mission to destroy tires and live its life one quarter mile at a time. This Camaro is a true street sleeper. There are only a few of exterior modifications from factory. These include Blacked out badges, 20x9 stock front wheels, with 20x11 widened stock rear wheels wrapped in 315 section tires. ADM Brembo Powder coated brake calipers. So clearly performance was the focus here. One interior goodie added was beefed up audio system with two thumping MTX Audio subwoofers in the trunk. This is a car that is unassuming and packs a big punch. To view this 2010 Chevrolet Camaro in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SL. This clean car fax, numbers matching, fully documented Mercedes Benz sports a 5.6 V-8 and 4 speed automatic transmission, upgraded R134 AC, new tires and of course that amazing feel you when drive this iconic vehicle. This SL appears exactly as it did when it first left the showroom floor, almost like new. The archetypal Mercedes-Benz SL has got to be the granite-sided and chamfered R107, a classically styled Benz roadster that came to embody the elite drivers during its seemingly endless and unchallenged U.S. sales streak. Many modern cars can outperform the R107 family of roadsters, but none quite have the star appeal and appearance of old money that the R107 roadsters brought to Mercedes. This Mercedes Benz 560 SL is 29 years old, but for a car of that age it had many amazing features including a standard airbag, hard and soft tops both in immaculate condition, and many other desirable features. Over all the power was strong for a car from the 1980’s it had a 227 horse power 5.6 liter V8 power plant that had a top speed of 137 miles per hour. Its 0-60 time was around 7.2 seconds. Fairly impressive when you consider that it’s a fairly heavy car. It is fun to drive and turns heads where ever you go. Options include: AM/FM radio, CD player, power steering, power brakes, power locks, power mirrors, driver airbag, aluminum wheels, antilock brakes, cruise control, convertible top, leather interior, and radial tires. The Regal Turbo was a popular street beast of the late 80’s with only around 7900 produced and was the intro to the GNX series that came about with it’s limited production of 547 built. This Regal is a tribute to the GNX series and mechanically serves it justice. Powering this machine is a 3.8L V6 paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Looking under the hood you will find the turbo features the GNX heat shield, which was one of the big distinguishing factors in the GNX from the rest of the Grand nationals and Regal Turbos on the road.
