Description:

Our Atlanta Showroom is proud have this 1940 Buick Special Coupe for sale. The Buick Straight-eight engine (Fireball 8) was produced from 1931 to 1953 and sold in Buick automobiles, replacing the Buick Straight-6 engine across the board in all models in 1931. Like many American automobile makers, Buick adopted the straight-8 engine in 1931 as a more powerful alternative to the previous engines. However, unlike most other car makers at the time, Buick had been using a valve-in-head/OHV overhead valve design or I-head since its inception and continued this practice in their inline-8 designs. When introduced in 1940 the new Series 50 Super featured the cutting-edge torpedo C-body. When combined with a column mounted shift lever the cars offered true six passenger comfort, changes that had clearly been influenced by the Cadillac Sixty Special. The basic formula for the 1940 to 1952 Super was established by mating the Roadmasters longer behind the engine cowl body to the Series 40 Specials smaller straight-eight engine and consequently shorter engine compartment. This led to an economical combination of voluminous passenger room and relatively good fuel economy. This 2 door model had a frame off restoration about 10 years ago. The car was completely disassembled stripped and repainted. The owner laid down 12k to paint this time capsule and put in all new rubber, glass, chrome wheels, new interior with high quality leather, and all new brakes. There was over $50,000 invested in the restoration. The Buick starts, runs, drives, and stops like it should. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Ft. Lauderdale is proud to offer a beautiful rugged 1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. This grey FJ is a very nice example of a classic Land Cruiser. Toyota rolled out the FJ40 series in 1960 and competed with the likes of Land Rovers, Jeeps, and later the Ford Bronco and Chevrolet K10 Blazer. The FJ is a rugged, two door, 4x4 vehicle with amazing off-road capabilities. The new paint is paired to a beautifully restored brown leather interior. The front sports two bucket seats and the rear has jump seats which can be folded aside for more cargo space. Under the hood of this particular Land Cruiser youll find the matching numbers 6-cylinder engine which is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and a 4x4 transfer case. The engine was recently rebuilt and has less than 100 miles on it. This powerful SUV will take you just about anywhere you want to go. This FJ would make a great weekend runabout or a daily driver, although considered very basic on the interior amenities, this truck will put most new 4x4s to shame off pavement. Some other options include power steering, new Aluminum Radiator, FiTech fuel injection, and power brakes. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe. The Plymouth Deluxe was produced from 1946 to 1950, with the top trim line being the Special Deluxe model. The first post-war Plymouth Deluxe rolled off the assembly line on October 22, 1945, at the dealership people arrived in droves to get their name on the list for a brand new car. Plymouth literature claimed there were 50 updates on their post-war model that improved upon the pre-war model. From 1946-48 Plymouths tag line during this post-war era was Outside and in, its a completely new Plymouth. Compare it feature for feature. Sit in it. Ride in it. Drive it. Then youll surely agree. This particular survivor was given a thorough frame-up restoration and still shows very well. During the updates she was inserted with a 302 Ford V-8 mated to a C-4 automatic transmission. The paint is a nice burgundy, with a grey tweed cloth bench seat interior. The restoration wasnt complete until the update of adding a tilt wheel, power steering, and power windows. They followed the interior theme into the trunk area as well, keeping with uniformity. She was finished off with a set of chrome spoke wheels and radial tires. This car cruises down the road with the best of them, and represents an era for Chrysler where they put function before style.
