The engine is paired up to the original transmission and runs like a top. Remaining in original condition this coupe is a prime example of a true survivor through the 83 years of its life. The car is cloaked in what is said be the original paint which is a nice burgundy color. With the color matching wheels this car keeps the classic look that many still love to this day. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1947 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup. This 47’ 5-Window Pickup served its life and was retired to a spot behind a building in southwest Missouri. In 1993 the truck was rediscovered and was in need of a full restoration. It was brought to St. Louis, Missouri and received just that, a quality and complete restoration. The idea of the restoration was to keep everything as original as possible. The only major change was the color, this 47’ 3100 was born green, and now it sports a bright red exterior, and a beautiful wood bed. The dash is painted bright red as well, and the vinyl upholstery of the seat is a dark red. Under the hood you will find the “Thrift Master” inline 6-cylinder engine that has been dressed up and looks fantastic. The 3 on the tree manual transmission is very fitting and easy to use. The steel wheels have been painted red to match the body along with the Chevrolet lettering on the hub caps. The wheels, with the wide white wall bias ply tires, provide an awesome and nostalgic look, perfect for this build. Description:

Now for sale in the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird. This is one of the most desirable years for the Thunderbird and what a fantastic example this is. The current owner of this first-generation car bought it from the original owner in Houston all the way back in 1967 and has kept it ever since. This one has been excellently maintained over the years and still drives very well. Under the hood you will find a 312 CID V8 engine which was now standard in 1957 over the 292 CID V8 engine seen on the previous 1st generation Thunderbirds. The Thunderbird was revised for 1957 with a reshaped front bumper, a larger grille and tail fins, and larger tail lamps. The instrument panel was heavily re-styled with round gauges in a single pod, and the rear of the car was lengthened, allowing the spare tire to be positioned back in the trunk. The 312 cu in V8 became the Thunderbirds standard engine, and now produced 245 horsepower. Other, even more powerful versions of the 312 CID V8 were available, including one with two four-barrel Holley carburetors, and another with a Paxton supercharger delivering 300 horsepower. Though Ford was pleased to see sales of the Thunderbird rise to a record-breaking 21,380 units for 1957, company executives felt the car could do even better, leading to a substantial redesign of the car for 1958. The exterior is finished in a gorgeous white/blue two-tone paint scheme with a matching blue two-tone interior. The cabin is kept cool with functioning air conditioning and features a manual convertible top for those summer days. Power steering and power brakes make steering and stopping this classic a breeze, even in tight parking spots. Seat belts are fitted for extra safety and the white wall tires look fantastic. Dont miss your chance to own this one! Coupled to the Magna Flow dual exhaust with stainless steel tips, the noise is sweet and serious…you’ll know this Falcon means business. The Falcon has travelled fewer than 5,000 miles since being completed in 2008, and the attention and care shows throughout the car. We have extensive documentation covering the restoration and engine build available for review. Be sure to visit our main web page, www.gatewayclassiccars.com to view 100+ HD pictures, as well as a short video of this amazing car in action. Description:

For sale in our Detroit showroom is a Henry Ford syledl 1932 Ford Model 18 Roadster with a Rumble Seat. This car not only incorporates the iconic design of the late 20s and early 30s but also has a blast-from-the-past rumble seat that is perfect for the little ones. By the late 1920s the Model T was becoming less competitive in the market with other manufacturers offering more modern conveniences at reasonable prices. The folks at Ford fought to get old Henry to produce something that was good looking and reliable but also more sturdy and easier to drive and thus the Model A was born. This styling would later become one of the most iconic cars of the 1930s, and allowed families to travel longer distances with more comfort. In 1932, Ford brought out a working-class V-8 and forever blurred the lines between factory performance, transportation and hot rods. This lightweight Wescott Body is paired to a potent Flathead V8 sports roughly 100 miles on a rebuild. For that reason alone, the 32 Ford would have earned its place as a performance archetype. Throw in some of the best styling to leave Dearborn in the prewar era and you have the makings of possibly the most sought-after mass-produced interwar car. Luckily, by the time the Model A came around, you could have it in any color you like. This particular roadster comes in Washington Blue, which is paired perfectly with the dark Brown interior. The interior provides comfort you can expect from a newly upholstered bench seat with a rumble seat that looks just as nice. If you are looking for a real steel Model A that retains a large part of its originality and great drivability, then this is the Model A for you. Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this very cool 1958 Chevrolet Task Force Apache light duty truck. The Task Force trucks ran from 1955 to 1959 with the ’58 model being the first year for the “Apache, Viking, and Spartan” name designations, as well as a refreshed front-end treatment. This ’58 builds on the tradition of tough Chevy trucks with a beautiful restoration and mild resto-mod upgrade. The paint grabs your attention first, showing off a gleaming dark blue finish. Straight and clean body panels, bright alloy wheels, lots of shiny chrome, and a painted-to-match locking tonneau cover make up the rest of this truck’s good looks. Under the hood you’ll find a strong running Chevy 350 V8, sending power to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Power steering, brakes and air conditioning make the truck a comfy breeze to drive. An updated audio system, power windows, tilt wheel, chromed AutoMeter gauge cluster, individual seats with a storage console, custom headliner, and carpeted interior all make the truck as nice on the inside as she is on the outside. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this gigantic 1940 Packard Custom. This classic boulevard cruiser is absolutely a head-turner and sure to be king of the road. With a complete restoration being completed on this beauty, she is ready to roll. Powering this big machine is a new 250 CID I-6 with only a little over 100 miles on it since it was installed. The transmission is a smooth-shifting 3-speed automatic. The body panels are original and have just been refurbished to bring this old beauty back to life. The chrome trim through the car is in good condition. The car sits on a set of clean, and classy wide white wall tires accented by the chromed hub caps. Looking at the interior you will see there is more than enough space for a large group of family and friends. While remaining original to the era, the upholstery is a nice maroon color and does not have any major rips or tears. If you really want to be taken back to the 1940s look at the speedometer. Unlike the ones today moving in increments of 10 or 20 this one just goes to 10. It would make for a nice joke if you were to get pulled over, just explain to the office that you were only going 8 MPH according to your speedometer. With plenty of leg room for the whole family, this classic ride still has more space to give. The trunk is plenty big to fit some groceries or several overnight bags if youre interested in going for a weekend drive. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Houston is proud to offer this gorgeous 1957 Chevrolet 3100 pickup. For 1957, many visual changes were made: The former egg-crate grille was changed to a more open-mouthed design, with eight bars holding an open trapezoid in the center, and a pair of wind splits appeared on the hood. Dished steering wheel, safety door locks and strikers, and a more rigidly mounted rear axle (using threaded spring shackles instead of the center-draw-bolt type used previously) were among the other improvements. The V-8 models grew to 283 cubic inches, 160hp and 270 foot-pounds of torque. This 57 Chevy has been through a full frame off restoration that saw almost every part on the truck from bumper to bumper be replaced or restored. The front clip of the suspension on the car you will find a 1980 Firebird front clip and suspension system that gives the car a much better & safer ride. The rear suspension has also been upgraded and gives the truck a great ride. The exterior of the truck is in great condition and shows very well. The body is straight & true, the body panel gaps are even. The bumpers, trim & glass are also in great condition and really pull the look of the truck together sitting on those polished aluminum American racing wheels. The 57 features a new tailgate with chains, new driver & passenger doors on the truck, & new oak boards in the bed of the truck. This truck is powered by a 350 CID V8 that mates with a Turbo 350 transmission. Both components have been rebuilt with less than 1500 miles on them. The truck has also been treated to a new full wiring harness for the truck resolving any electrical issues. The truck features a new dual SS exhaust system that gives the truck a great sound. Other great features on the truck worth mentioning is the Vintage Air A/C system that blows cold, AM/FM with compact disc player, a new custom billet gauge set in the dash, a new chrome 1957 grille & the exterior trim has been re-chromed, a new aluminum radiator, new windshield wiper motor, new foil floor insulation, & and new carpet. The interior shows very well. It has custom front floor mats, a recovered seat, new headliner, front windshield and back glass, new seat belts, new carpet, new sound insulation, & more! To put it simply this truck has been brought back better than new. Dont miss your chance to own one of the most iconic trucks Chevrolet has ever produced. It is a unique look and specific to 1957. Contact our Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220 for more information or to purchase. If you are viewing the truck on a third party website then more pictures and a video are available at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

The Second-generation Pontiac Firebird Trams Am features some of the most beloved and iconic models produced including the rare 1970 ½ Ram Air III, the black & gold 1977 Smokey & the Bandit Special Edition and the 1979 10th Anniversary Edition. During the last two years of its run, Pontiac offered a special engine and appearance package known as the “Turbo Trans Am”. Due to the increasing emissions restrictions, Pontiac dropped all its large displacement engines, including the venerable 400cid V8 following the 1979 model year. Along with a conventional 305 cid small-block V8, Pontiac offered the first forced induction production engine, a turbo charged 301 V8 in 1980-81. The 4.9L Turbo was unique in that it had a stronger block with thicker cylinder walls and a lower compression ratio given the increased pressure created by the turbo system. Also included were newly developed internals including forged pistons, high pressure oil pump, a roller fillet crankshaft with 2 counterbalances, fully baffled oil pan and turbo specific exhaust manifolds. The 301 Turbo was officially factory rated at 210hp and 345 lb.ft of torque and mated to a TH350 automatic transmission and 3.08 posi rear end. In 1980, Johnny Rutherford won his 3rd Indianapolis 500, a race that featured the 1980 Turbo Trans Am as the Official Pace Car. This beautiful limited-edition model shows its original White/Oyster exterior and interior finishes and the owner states 11,451 original miles! The numbers matching vehicle includes T Tops, AM/FM Stereo Cassette, Power Locks, Power Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes and ice-cold AC. This piece of history is located at our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
