Description:

Ready to be driven and enjoyed, this mid-year Corvette is an excellent option! The second generation C2 Corvette, which introduced Sting Ray to the model, continued with fiberglass body panels, and overall, was smaller than the first generation. The C2 was later referred to as mid-years. The car was designed by Larry Shinoda with major inspiration from a previous concept design called the Q Corvette, which was created by Peter Brock and Chuck Pohlmann under the styling direction of Bill Mitchell. Earlier, Mitchell had sponsored a car known as the Mitchell Sting Ray in 1959 because Chevrolet no longer participated in factory racing. This vehicle had the largest impact on the styling of this generation, although it had no top and did not give away what the final version of the C2 would look like. The third inspiration was a Mako Shark, Mitchell had caught while deep-sea fishing. For 1966, Chevrolet introduced an even larger 427 CID Big Block version. Other options available on the C2 included the Wonderbar auto-tuning AM radio, AM-FM radio (mid-1963), air conditioning (late-1963), a telescopic steering wheel (1965), and headrests (1966). The Sting Rays independent rear suspension was successfully adapted for the new-for-1965 Chevrolet Corvair, which solved the quirky handling problems of that unique rear-engine compact. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer super nice 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible. The second-generation Barracuda, now a 108 in wheelbase A-body, still shared many components with the Valiant but was stylishly redesigned with model-specific sheet metal, and a convertible and hardtop coupe joining the original fastback offering. In 1967, while the 225 cu in slant-6 was still the base engine, the V8 options ranged from the two- and four-barrel versions of the 273 cu in to a seldom-ordered 383 cu in B big-block, rated at 280 bhp which was only available only with the Formula S package. Now just imagine if a 440 V-8 were available in 1967? Why it would have ran circles around the other pony cars. With a little thought and work the 440 V-8 fit right in there. It even looks like its from the factory. Backing the rebuilt 440 is a new automatic transmission that only has about 500 miles on it. To bring this healthy big cubic inch 440 back down to a halt, disc brakes have been added to the front. All the work to this car has been done in the last 2-3 years by Snake Pit Customs of Indianapolis, Indiana. If you’re looking for a fun summer time cruiser, that can burn tires at the push of the pedal, then look no further. This Cuda will be sure to impress your friends! Options for this 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible include; AM/FM radio with CD player, power steering, power convertible top, seat belts and Aluminum wheels wrapped in radial tires. Nows your chance to own a fun 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible for sale! Description:

Now for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Houston showroom is this wicked fast 2010 Camaro SS. Sporting a DYNO SHEET from G-Force Performance, this baby puts down 699HP/694TQ at the wheels! Designed from the ground up to be a sleeper, this Imperial Blue Metallic 5th gen Camaro looks like a regular Camaro SS. However, this is no ordinary, or even slightly-modified SS. Virtually right after taking delivery, its owner took it to G-Force Motorsports for nearly $30K worth of some serious power upgrades. Starting with a complete HKE Forged LS3 engine, it was equipped with a Magnacharger TVS 2300 Supercharger with a 3” pulley, custom Comp Cams bumpstick, PRC Gold springs, Comp Magnum pushrods, Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump, upgraded injectors, ADM Cold Air Intake, Kooks 1 7/8” headers, Kooks catted connection pipe, and Corsa cat-back exhaust, and a custom dyno tune by G-Force Motorsports, which combine to provide a ton of power and a very nasty sound. Getting that power to the rear is a Spec twin-disc clutch, Hurst short-throw shifter, and Driveshaft Shop 2000hp axles, with a 3.73:1 gear set and limited slip differential. Keeping this beast glued to the road are Eibach springs at all four corners, BMR trailing arms, BMR toe rods, and Continental DWS performance radials. But wait – there’s more! This isn’t just a go-fast sleeper, it’s also a rolling concert hall, with over $12K in custom-installed stereo gear. A double-DIN 7” touchscreen Pioneer head unit with CD, complete with a fully-integrated replacement dash bezel that keeps all original factory control functions (for sound and HVAC) intact, you know you’re looking at a special setup. With over 3 full pages of detailed invoices, listing the JL Audio amplifiers (JL Audio 3004v2 4 channel amp, 75W/channel; 1000/1V2 Monoblock Sub amp w/1000W RMS), JL Audio CL-441DSP Automatic Digital EQ, JL Audio CL-SSI Signal Slimming Interface, JL Audio 10” subs, Diamond Audio D662S 6” convertible speakers w/silk tweeters, and Diamond Audio D393I D3 Series 6x9 co-ax speakers, it has a laundry list of top-end sound gear. To ensure that you hear all of the audio and minimal outside noise, the car has been fully Dynamat-equipped. The entire installation looks both factory and custom – it has custom interior trim, paint-matched to the factory original colors, and the trunk-housed componentry is highlighted by lighted, etched images. Keeping your car safe AND yours is a custom Clifford Matrix 12.5X 2-way paging alarm system with dual shock sensor, start kill, tilt sensor and glass mic sensors. Receipts are available documenting the performance and sound upgrades. This car has all the 2SS package elements, with full leather interior, Air Conditioning, Ambient Lighting, Cruise Control, Keyless Entry, Power Anti-Lock Brakes, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Seats with lumbar support, Power Steering, Power Windows, Seat Belts, and Tilt steering wheel. Description:

This 1955 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Although many will compare the early T birds or baby birds to the Corvette that is not what Ford was shooting for. The Bird was supposed to be an upscale 2 seater convertible and created a whole new segment known as the personal luxury car. It would be loved by car people but practicality was not one of its strong suites which would kill the original design in just 3 years. Though it would go on for quite some time and grow in both popularity and size these baby birds are the ones that still have the collector’s heart. This 55 is a splendid example of what the collector market is searching for. The red paint is silky smooth and is probably better than you would get from the factory back then. Of course, the white hard top is a great contrast and yet still the best part of it all is the car is exactly the way it left the factory. Yes, this is an original red/white car which in many opinions is the most desirable combo. With all the chrome accents, there is no way you will go unnoticed in this red beauty. The interior is finished back to the way it was as well with the powered bench seat covered in matching red and white vinyl. Take the hardtop off and you’re good to go on that relaxing Sunday cruise but you always take the chance of running into some rain. With this baby bird having a soft top stored behind the seat the problem is solved. Tilt the hood forward and the classic Y block is right at home and looks as if the car was made around it. Maintaining the original 6 Volt/Generator setup this Red bird is ready to fly. The automatic transmission or Ford-o-Matic shifts out nicely especially under hard acceleration. If you have wanted a great car to add to your collection or just a T bird fanatic either way this little drop top is ideal. Options on this 1955 Ford Thunderbird include; Vinyl Interior, Power Seats, Manual Convertible Top, Hub Caps, and Wide White Wall Radial Tires. To view this car in full detail with HD pictures and video on this 1955 Ford Thunderbird call our Louisville showroom at (812)-294-1555, or email us at Louisville@Gatewayclassiccars.com

Description:

Offered for sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this 1949 GMC ¾ Ton Pickup. This special Advance Design pickup has come a long way from its early life on a Mid-Missouri farm. Owned and restored by Dale Jacobs of Dallas, Texas, this 1949 GMC ¾ ton has been down to the frame and came out just a little nicer than new. It’s the old story. It looked very nice and ran just as well but a little extra touch would make it a nicer pickup. Well, the more he got into areas, the more he saw things that just were not quite right. After all it was a farm work truck for so many years. Before long you are tired of seeing so many imperfections, you check your bank account, and say “Let’s just make it a new truck”. It will only take time and money! It was taken down to the bare frame (the easiest part) and the building of the oversize model kit begins. This four-year “frame off” TOTAL restoration project of this “numbers matching” GMC ¾ ton pickup involved doing much research, making local new restoration contacts, and learning so much about early GMC’s. The “Ron Kelly Designs” complete rebuild of this original drivetrain and chassis included the GMC 228 engine long block (.08 over rebore), head, flywheel, clutch, 4-speed on the floor transmission with “granny” gear, drive shaft and rear end, all dynamically balanced. Modifications to improve performance include full-flow oil filtering, dual 2-barrel Stromberg carburetors adaptation to original intake manifold with new linkage, and Fenton dual exhaust headers with custom muffler routing. Dale’s ¾ ton has the optional 17” split rim wheels instead of the stock 15”. (These were original on the 1 ton pickup of these years). The extra 2” gives the truck a higher top end speed and lowers the engine RPM. Good during daily in-town driving. Another very unique fixture is the intake manifold. The original single barrel carburetor intake center hole was blocked off. Then front and rear carburetor receiver openings were installed to hold a pair of two-barrel Stromberg’s. It operates excellent and is probably the only one of its kind in the world! What an eye catcher! He says it easily cruises at almost 70 mph! The chassis rebuild involved frame powder coating, front and rear spring leafs with helpers, Delco lever arm shocks, duel master cylinder brake system, front end and steering linkage with drive box. The electrical system conversion to 12 volts included the original Delco starter and generator, regulator, new Mallory dual point distributor and coil, new wiring harness, 4 corner lighting with halogen headlights and turn signaling. A new water pump, radiator with expansion cylinder and hoses improve the cooling system. All body panels were COMPLETELY disassembled and, along with the cab, subjected to a strip and de-rust total immersion process. Reassembly with new fasteners was preceded by extensive applications of epoxy and urethane primers and initial custom lacquer paint then followed by final lacquer paint and clear coatings. Cab restoration involved new door handles, hinges and panels, headliner with insulation, sun visors, gauge cluster and speedometer, vintage GMC reproduction stereo AM/FM radio and 7 new glass windows allowing a surround view. The air flow heater with control valve and defroster ducts, vacuum wiper motor with linkage, fuel tank with new sender, and all pedal controls were also restored to original specifications. Traversing seat with era appropriate new upholstery allows comfort with a vintage signature. Firewall, roof, floor and doors all received sound deadening applications. Finishing touches include the re-chromed original grill, badging, radiator fan and added dual trumpet horns. Color coordinated powder coated engine side and valve covers enhance the engine bay. Also evident are new bumpers with valences, vintage Unity spot and fog lights, chromed fuel tank linkage, and powder coated original split rim wheels with new 750-17 tires. An eye-catching top grade oak bed and side rails with stainless linings and fasteners complete this classic restoration. To view this special 1949 GMC ¾ Ton Pickup in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Dallas-Fort Worth Showroom at 817-310-9400 or email at dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com.

For sale in our Nashville showroom is this gorgeous 1967 Chevrolet Convertible Camaro, this 1967 Convertible Camaro for sale, with it’s striking good looks and seemingly fresh butternut paint, black vinyl interior and black cloth top. This is the car that comes to mind every time I think of the late 60’s and early ‘70’s. This is the poster car for that summer that we all remember. Everybody has that summer, the one where freedom is tasted as well as adult beverages. This is the perfect car to relive those long summer nights of so many years ago. Tucked under the hood of this time machine is a Chevy small block or mighty mouse as we use to call them, 327 Cubic inches of raw Chevrolet power topped with a 4 barrel Q-Jet Carburetor. This strong 327 is backed by a stout 4 speed manual transmission. This 1967 Camaro is even more fun to drive than you remember. How long has it been since you experienced driving? I don’t mean in a car that has some computer to make sure you don’t drift outside your lane or one that applies the brakes for you as this is not driving, it is just steering the car, and heck we did that when we were 7 years old on dad’s lap. Remember driving? Wind in your hair and a car with a soul controlled by you and your right foot? Well hurry and get one before they are outlawed and we all “ride” in self driving, soulless things that are not even called cars anymore. Options for this 1967 Camaro convertible for sale include: AM/FM, cassette player, manual convertible top, brakes, seat belts, vinyl interior and radial tires. You are looking at one of the most collectible years of the C10 and they only get more popular by the day. This truck has been completely restored from bumper to bumper. The exterior of the truck is a beautiful maroon and shows extremely well. The paint condition & quality is second to none and is show quality. The paint quality is much better than most we have seen. Our pictures really do not do the time & patients put into the work, justice. The interior is all custom with some nice touches. The all new vinyl interior. Powering this baby down the road is a very stout & mean LS V8 that sounds just fierce on start up. Not only does it sound like a beast it but it looks fantastic as well. The engine is paired to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and firm as it should and gives this truck a very nice driving experience. Both the engine & transmission have 3,180 miles on this since they were professional rebuilt. Description:

Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is this stunning 1958 BMW Isetta – a car made famous by Steve Urkel. This fine example is a numbers-matching car with just 12,457 miles on the odometer! Defined by its small size, front-entry passenger compartment and narrow rear track, this 1958 BMW Isetta 300 will definitely turn heads wherever you take it. The styling is amplified by the bullet-shaped headlights and chrome bumperettes, and the whole looked is finished off with a matching suitcase to store on the rear luggage rack. Getting in the BMW Isetta is half the fun as you watch the front hatch swing out of the way with the steering wheel attached. The two-passenger interior is as basic as the car itself with controls for the heater and choke mounted in front of the gear selector, and the sliding side windows and retractable soft all operated manually. The BMW Isetta was produced from 1955 to 1962 with three variations, this being the Isetta 300. The 1958 BMW Isetta 300 is powered by a 298cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine rated at 13 hp, which is more than enough for a microcar weighing less than 800 pounds. This engine allowed the Isetta to return fuel economy of around 63 mpg and drive at speeds up to 53 mph. On such a basic car, there isnt much to the Isetta in terms of options, which are limited to just a manual sunroof, radial tires, hub caps, vinyl interior and a tilt steering wheel (well, kinda). To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1958 BMW Isetta 300, please visit GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer this frame up restored 1955 Thunderbird. Billed as the first “Personal Luxury Car”. This particular “Baby Bird” with a VIN ending in #178 is believed to be first day of production. This Thunderbird has received a stunning frame up restoration after twenty-five years in storage with only five hundred miles since. Not built as a high-performance car, the personal luxury first-generation Thunderbirds were loved and adored by Hollywood and the well-heeled including the enigmatic Marylyn Monroe photographed in a black Thunderbird very similar to the offering here. Highly optioned with power windows, power brakes, telescoping steering wheel and six-way power seats this Bird was the go to personal luxury cruiser. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to offer this beautiful 1957 Oldsmobile 88. 1957 Oldsmobile 88 Coupe Oldsmobile showed a real propensity for power in the 50s. The 304-cu.in. OHV V-8 that the division introduced in 1948 ran 7.25:1 compression and had only 135hp on tap; by 57, less than a decade later, the base Rocket T-400 V-8 displaced 371-cu.in., sported 9.5:1 compression, and was rated at 277 horsepower-more than double the earlier 88s output. That was the base engine. For an extra kick in the pants, you could order the J2 option (code W). J2 had been around as a performance option since the early 50s, but for 1957 and 58, J2 ran three two-barrel carburetors. Historically, Oldsmobiles J2 beat Pontiacs Tri-Power to market by a matter of weeks. Olds had been developing 3x2-bbl carburetion for a couple of years under Pete Estes, an engine-development engineer and assistant chief engineer at Olds before he became chief engineer at Pontiac in September 1956. In December of 56, Pontiac announced Tri-Power for a spring release-no doubt prepared with information Estes brought with him from Oldsmobile. It caught his former co-workers off-guard, and they had to scramble to ready the J2 intake for a late January/early February launch as a mid-year option. This is one gorgeous 1957 Oldsmobile, and best of all it has the 371ci J-2 engine with three 2-barrel carburetors and the Hydramatic automatic transmission. The J-2 engine was rated at 300hp and 415 ft lbs of torque. In 1957 this was one of the fastest production cars on the market, and today is still such an iconic car. Description:

For sale in our Indianapolis Showroom is a 1966 Pontianc GTO. This GTO in Marina Blue Paint with brand new Black Interior is a real beauty. All the chrome shines nicely and the Crager Wheels are in great shape. This American Muscle car has a 389 hooked to an Automatic Transmission. The build was completed less than 500 miles ago and it shows. This a true numbers matching orignal car. This GTO has Power Brakes Power Steering Tilt WHeel and working AC. The GTO became a separate Pontiac model (model number 242) in 1966, instead of being an option package on the Tempest LeMans. The entire GM A body intermediate line was restyled that year, gaining more curvaceous styling with kicked-up rear fender lines for a Coke-bottle look, and a slightly tunneled backlight. The tail light featured a rare louvered cover, only seen on the GTO. The GTO was available as a pillared coupe, a hardtop (without B-pillars), and a convertible. Also an automotive industry first, plastic front grilles replaced the pot metal and aluminum versions seen on earlier years. New Strato bucket seats were introduced with higher and thinner seat backs and contoured cushions for added comfort and adjustable headrests were introduced as a new option. The instrument panel was redesigned and more integrated than in previous years with the ignition switch moved from the far left of the dash to the right of the steering wheel. Four pod instruments continued, and the GTOs dash was highlighted by walnut veneer trim. Although Pontiac had strenuously promoted the GTO in advertising as the GTO tiger, it had become known in the youth market as the goat. The car comes with documentation of the build and parts list in a nicley organized binder. This 1966 Pontiac GTO for sale is located in our Indianapolis Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Now for sale in the Houston showroom is this 1980 Toyota FJ40, and its one of the finest examples youll find of the legendary Land Cruiser FJ series. Fresh out of a complete nut-and-bolt restoration, this is one you need to get while you can! These trucks are extremely well-known for being bullet-proof reliable and supremely capable off-roaders. This family of 4WD trucks continues to increase in value, especially the nicer ones. Finding a nice one can be difficult, since so many of these trucks have been bashed, abused, and just plain used up in the years before they made it to the collectors A-list. Fortunately, this 1980 Land Cruiser is very clean, with a superb gray paint job that really fits the persona of the vehicle. During its restoration, it benefited from plenty of attention. The engine was rebuilt by Harric Motor Works, the transmission was checked thoroughly and resealed, new U-joints and new steering joints, new master cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch and new pressure plate, new radiator, all new hoses, new wheel bearings and seals were installed at all 4 corners, new front tie rod, new power steering pump, a new 4-inch lift kit, full roll cage, and new body mounts were installed. Youll find the interior is far more civilized than youd expect for purpose-built off-roader like this, with comfortable and supportive aftermarket high-back bucket seats with plenty of side bolster to keep you securely in place during your off-roading adventures. Twin folding seats in back expand passenger capacity, and with its grippy spray-in bedliner type coating on the floors, you can get dirty and hose it right out. Toyotas 2F 4.2-liter inline-six have powered Land Cruisers for decades, and while it seems modest and underpowered, its proven itself time and again in extremely demanding circumstances. Around town, its smooth and torquey and the gear ratios are exactly right to make it feel quick and agile. Its 4.2L 2F engine is mated to a 4-speed transmission, and it sits on a new set of 33x10.5x15LT BFG Mud Terrain KM2 tires. This 1980 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser for sale is sure please the adventurer in all of us! Options on this superb 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser include: Aluminum Alloy Wheels, 4x4, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Seats. Description:

Now for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is this stunning 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Convertible. Is there a better muscle car to drive? The ’65 convertible four speed is a car that is more rare than one might think. Less than 20,000 convertible Chevelles were made in total. Drop out the SS models equipped with four speeds and you’ve got quite a rare car. Almost 55 years later and there are very few of these machines left. Many of those on the road are in poor condition. The car was completely restored in 1995 by the second owner. The original 327 CID V8 was replaced in lieu of a beefier 10:1 350. The Super T-10 four-speed was left in place but was complemented with a new clutch. The interior was revamped with a Year One interior kit and Stewart Warner gauges. The most special change made was the awesome and unique liquid flame paint job. Since then the cooling system has been upgraded along with a few trim components. This car was put together to be driven rather than just looked at. It drives excellently. The engine is a 1969 350 SB bored 0.30-inch over, balanced, blueprinted, iron GM rods, Speed Pro flat top 10:1 pistons, Comp Cams CS-XE2684-10 hydraulic camshaft, Weiand four-barrel aluminum intake manifold, Holley Street Avenger 670-cfm carburetor, Accel HEI ignition, Hedman headers, Flowmaster dual 2 ½ inch exhaust and assembly by Gary Langseth. Rebuilt OE suspension with 11-inch clutch. 12 bolt rear end with 3:73 posi differential. The wheels are Billet Specialty 17x7, 4.75-inch. Inside you will find a Hurt shifter, Chevrolet walnut three-spoke steering wheel, Custom Auto Sound AM/FM stereo. Lee’s Custom Collision did the Ember Red multi-stage urethane paint job and the flames done by Auto Art’s Charles Armstrong in Prescott, AZ.
