Description:

Now available in our DFW Showroom is this 1955 iconic Ford Thunderbird! The Thunderbird was considered a more dignified, personal luxury cruiser during its release. It had roll-up windows and standard V-8 power, both things that were not available on the first Corvettes in the 50’s. Other features included a removable fiberglass top, a fabric convertible top, and fender skirts for the rear wheels. There was one engine for the first 1955 T-Birds, and it was the 292 cid Y-Block V-8 fitted with a single four-barrel carburetor. With the standard 3-speed manual transmission, this engine made 193 horsepower, and with the optional Ford-o-Matic transmission, it made 198 horses. The exhaust pipes for the Thunderbird were integrated into the rear fascia and above the rear bumper, giving it an unmistakable Jet-Age look. This Thunderbird has a production date of, October 23rd-1954 and is one of the first 500 Thunderbirds manufactured! It still has the original 292 cu in Y-block V8 with a 3-speed manual, plus overdrive transmission. According to the owner, who’s owned it for the last 21 + years, this car has only 81,000 original miles! Other original parts to this vehicle include- Original Hardtop, Fender-skirts, Power seat, and Original AM radio for aesthetic purposes- (which isn’t functioning due to a 12-volt conversion). Other upgraded features include: Halogen headlights, LED tail lights, Interior seat, foam, door panels, carpet, dash cover, hardtop-headliner, H.D. radiator, 6 blade fan, 12-volt electrical conversion, Pertronics ignition, alternator, Holly 4000 barrel carburetor totally rebuilt, radial tires, and a space-saver spare. This is a strong running and great driving vehicle. If you’re looking a for a Thunderbird you can take out on the road and enjoy a cruise, look no further, you’ve found it! Description:

Our Milwaukee location is proud to consign this 1937 Ford Stake Bed truck at Gateway Classic Cars. Ford has a long history in the truck market. Henry Ford is believed to be the first American auto maker to produce a civilian use pick up in 1917. The Ford Model TT was built on a studier frame and suspension than the Model T. This allowed the Model TT to become Americas workhorse with the ability to haul heavier payloads. Only 209 units sold in 1917, but by 1928 an astonishing 1.3 million Ford pickup had been sold. It was the Ford Model TT that solidified Fords rightful place in truck history. In 1925 Ford introduced the Model T Roundabout with a 40h.p. engine and heaver leaf springs. Roundabout T was the first pickup to be “completely assembled on the factory floor. Prior Model TTs came as cab only with the buyer building their own bed configurations. In 1932 Ford introduced the 80h.p. flathead V-8. The V-8 configuration was not new in 1932, however, Ford was the first to affordably mass market the V8 engine on a large scale. This was the go- to car for Bonnie and Clyde due the V-8s power to out run the police. Our 1937 Ford half ton Stake Bed is a great representation of Ford truck history. It is powered by a flat head V-8 with adjustable lifters, a 1941 coil with adapter and an electric gas pump. The generator has been converted to a twelve- volt system. In addition, the rear differential has been replaced with a 1973 Phaeton rear end. Two rear stop/ taillights and front and rear turn signals were added for safety. The front windshield also turns out for fantastic air flow. This 1937 Ford Stake Bed has been adorned with teardrop fenders, stainless steel bumpers, stainless steel hub caps and beautiful red paint. Whether you are looking for a car show gem or a trip to the hardware store this 1937 Ford Half Ton Stake Bed is ready for the task. This 1937 Ford Half Ton Stake Bed is available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. Description:

Up for sale in our Detroit Showroom is a 1963 Mercury Comet Gasser named The Instigator. A gasser is a type of hot rod originating on the dragstrips all around the United States in the late 1950s and continued until the early 1970s. In the days before Pro Stock, the A/Gas cars were the fastest stock-appearing racers around. Gassers are based on closed body production models from the 1930s to mid-1960s, which have been stripped of extraneous weight and jacked up using a beam axle or tubular axle to provide better weight distribution on acceleration though a raised stock front suspension is common as well. This Gasser hasnt had much weight reduction done having the power hydraulic tilt front end which contains the 350 CID Chevy small block and TH 350 transmission. This dominant duo has less than 500 miles on the build and can rip pavement apart with one stab of the gas pedal. From a dead stop, the posi traction rear end with a 3.50 gear launch you forward like every strip of pavement is a dragstrip. The paint on this Gasser looks amazing and is completely custom throughout. The interior is a very clean and factory looking vinyl with a Hurst shifter and a few additional gauges that provide great comfort while manning this machine. If you have always wanted that attention grabbing ride that has left its footprint in automotive history, you need to drive a Gasser. There is no feeling that can compare to the thrill ride of moving a nostalgic monster through the streets. Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is presenting for sale this Fully Restored 1936 Ford “Humpback Coupe. Ford moved on from the 1920s with most of the Model T designs intact, but with the extra benefit of cheap, reliable V8 power and a much more appealing exterior styling. Ford gave new styling to their models in 1935 and then a few improvements were added in 1936. Most obvious was the cars new longer, more pointed hoods and matching sharply Veed grille. This 1936 Humpback is a very original 3rd owner car that has only 39,864 original miles, it was purchased from its original owner in 1978 and has been stored in a garage ever since. In 2014 this Humpback underwent a complete frame off restoration restoring the car to original condition. This included a complete rebuild of the transmission and an upgrade of the starting system to include a starter button. Every body part on the car is original including the running boards as the only rust evident before the restoration was at the tail pipe area of the car. New parts installed include glass, tires, shocks, battery, authentic Ford upholstery kit, ignition system, A custom full cover is also included.a refurbished radiator, and a new 6 volt battery, and remaining in the car are its original tire jack, lug wrenchoriginal tools and pouch and crank. This 1936 Humpback is like a time capsule looking just as the car would have back in 1936. It actually, looks better. The quality of materials and craftsmanship used on the finish just were not available in 1936.To view this 1936 Ford “Humpback Coupe in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this killer 1940 Ford 2-Door sedan for sale in our Las Vegas Showroom. Powered by the legendary 350 C.I.D. small block Chevrolet V8 engine mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. This awesome driving machine has only covered 8,339 miles since the build was completed. The eye-catching red paint job will draw attention as you cruise the boulevard in style. The cloth seats are in excellent condition and round out the well-appointed cabin nicely. This one is easy to maneuver around tight parking lots and heavy traffic, thanks to its modern power brakes and power steering. A high flat-topped hood dominated the front look of the 1940 model, as the grille spread out to reach the fenders to differentiate the Deluxe line and the headlights were pushed wider still. The standard Ford inherited the grille of the 1939 model with blackout on each side of a heavy chrome center; heavier headlight surrounds serve as another major differentiator from the 1939. 1940 was the last year of the 1937 design. Sealed-beam headlights were one of the few major advances for 1940, while a hydraulic top was new on the convertible. The 1937-1940 generation of Fords is one of the most popular automobiles for hot rodding. Early stock car racing drivers also used Fords of this generation among other cars. This Ford also formed the basis for a style of dirt track racing car. Dont miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air. This Formula 400 Firebird checks off all the necessary boxes to make this a worthy car for the first time Muscle Car purchaser looking to have fun, or the long-time collector looking to add to an existing collection. The first box to be checked off is appearance. How appealing does it look? At first glance, the Navajo Orange is an eye catcher and combines well with the beige bucket interior. The front end looks aggressive and sucks you in with dual snorkel functioning Ram Air hood. The sleek, bold styling of the car exudes a classy confident attitude. The second box is performance. This Firebird performs just as good as it looks. It boasts a 400 cubic inch numbers matching motor, along with a 4-barrel carburetor and Ram Air option. All you need to do is step on the gas to awaken the sleeping giant. Power is transferred from the engine through a Turbo Hydromatic 400 automatic transmission to a 10 bolt posi-traction rear end which now houses 3.42 gears. The third box is value. To some this may be the most important box. How do you determine value or forecast value in a car? There are several factors that affect this category: two of which are already checked off. Lets think in the terms of supply and demand. In 1973, Pontiac only produced 4,622 Formula 400 cars. Many fell victim to the crusher or salvage yard. Some were torn apart and key authentic components were replaced with non-original parts. Others are parked in non-operating condition and rusted out in a field, barn, or garage. Very few of the 4,622 that were produced made it to 2018 with original equipment that were also kept in prestigious condition. Of the 4,622 Formula 400 vehicles, only 533 had the functioning Ram Air hood. Yes, this is one of the 533 born with that very special option. Another factor of determining value is, can you prove the car is what it is? Yes, with documentation, VIN, data plate, and number stampings, which this 73 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air has. Lastly, with Camaros fetching top tier prices, the focus has turned to what the next Muscle Car to ignite is. Buying trends are already showing favorable promise to the second-generation Firebirds. When you take all of this into consideration, this car is a trustworthy investment. Most of all, you can hop in and enjoy cruising it while your investment appreciates. You can place a big check mark in this box! Options include (cold) Air Conditioning, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Rally Wheels, and Posi Traction. This 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com.
