Description:

We are excited to have for sale in our Gateway Classic Car Saint Louis Showroom is a very rare 1949 MG YT 2DR Tourer Convertible. BACKGROUND: Only 904 YT’s were built for export to the United States from 1947 to 1950. The MG YT cars used rack and pinion steering, which was a rarely seen option for a car in America at the time. This particular MG YT fires right up and purrs just like a kitten. It runs and drives very well and is ready for a new owner to drive and enjoy it as often as desired. It is utilizing the same engine as the TC, a 1250cc 4 cylinder, but with a higher compression and two 1 BBL carburetors producing 54.4 horsepower and 64 lb-ft of torque. The independent front suspension setup features unequal length A-arms and coil springs to provide valuable feedback to the driver. Also standard were drum brakes and 16 inch wheels on all four corners. The chassis on the YT utilized a steel ladder frame, it was often and incorrectly said to be made of wood. What was made of wood, most of which was oak, was the framework on which the bodywork was hung. The MG YT Touring Convertible has 2 doors and seats 4 passengers. The interior features leather upholstery and wood grain accents, which was much more refined than the earlier MG T-Series sports cars. This YT body is finished in light beige with metallic brown fenders, and a dark brown cloth convertible top. The exterior color combination beautifully matches the beige leather interior with dark brown piping throughout. The odometer reads 1,946, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1949 MG YT 2DR Tourer Convertible include: Leather Upholstery, Manual Convertible Top, Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Hub Caps. To view this 1949 MG YT in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom. Description:

Milwaukee has a beautifully restored 1962 Ford Thunderbird convertible for sale. It is white with a red interior, a 390ci motor and a manual transmission. You will not be disappointed in this beauty. 1962 saw strong production figures of 78,011 (including 9,884 convertibles) and the introduction of the Thunderbird Sports Roadster. The Sports Roadster was a limited production version of the convertible which added 48 spoke Kelsey-Hayes designed wire wheels, special badges to the front fenders and a passenger side grab bar to the front dashboard. The most striking addition to the Sports Roadster was a fiberglass tonneau cover which covered the back seat of the car and created a two seater appearance. 1,427 Sports Roadsters were produced in 1962, including 120 models with the special M Code option noted below. Early models suffered from problems related to their specially-designed wire wheels. The problem was quickly corrected when Elvis Presley was involved in an accident in which one of the Kelsey-Hayes wheels collapsed during hard turning. Another addition for 1962 was a special engine code (VIN engine code M) which added a tripower or three two barrel setup to a higher compression version of the 390 engine. This engine used 406 heads as well as the same carburetors that were found on the high performance 406 powered Ford Galaxie but with a modified version of the intake manifold to allow for proper air flow under the engine. This engine boasted 345 hp (257 kW) but was considered a moderate failure. The engine option was quietly discontinued halfway through the mid 1963 production run. Also introduced in 1962 was the Landau model, with a vinyl roof and simulated S-bars on the rear pillars. This was the beginning of the 1960s/1970s fashion for vinyl roof treatments, and a vinyl roof was a popular Thunderbird feature for the next 20 years. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1962 Ford Thunderbird in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Description:

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is an awesome “Big Window” 1956 Ford F100. This big window Ford is finished in a beautiful shade of Ruby Red paint that features a bit of metallic flake and creates gorgeous shimmer in the sunlight. Powering this classic F100 is a 292 CID Y Block V8 engine, that is very similar to what would have been in the truck when it was bought new in 1956. Upgrades to the 292 V8 include headers, a Holley carburetor, and a chrome air cleaner. A 3-Speed manual transmission transfers the power to the rear end via column shift, yup a true “3 on the tree” just like it was meant to be. The lowered stance is achieved by new leaf springs that have been lowered 3” and the new aluminum/alloy wheels, and radial tires. A new solid Oak floor in the bed provides a nice contrast to the Ruby Red paint and an overall awesome look to the truck. New Chrome bumpers shine proudly in the front and rear, while the new dual exhaust provides a nice sound to the 292 Y Block. The interior has been kept basic, with new vinyl upholstery on the bench seat and new carpet on the floor. By keeping it basic, the original feel and appearance has been kept intact to appreciate the simplicity. Adding modern amenities can easily be done if so desired. The odometer reads 18,605, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1956 Ford F100 included: Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. These Big Window Fords are becoming more and more popular, creating a demand, which in turn helps the value rise. This is a great example of one that has been kept fairly stock, the new owner can leave it as is or add one piece at a time to make it their own. Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer one very cool 1965 Pontiac GTO. You wont be able to help yourself from humming Little GTO when you fire up this bright red beauty. As Ronnie and the Daytonas sung in their 60s classic, Turn it on, wind it up, blow it out, GTO. This 65 has the iconic 3 deuces and a 4 speed that any Pontiac fan can appreciate. It sports a Pontiac 400 from a 1968, but still has the look and feel youd expect from a 65. The snappy red exterior is set off with a set of polished Cragar SSs wrapped in white wall tires. This one sports a unique white vinyl top which matches the white vinyl interior. Front buckets and a floor shifter leave no questioning what type of car this is: a true muscle car. This is however, the gentlemans muscle car, so a wood rimming steering wheel and wood grain dash dress up the cabin. Power steering and power brakes are a must in a full sized car with the power that this one has. When you hit wide open throttle, you can hear all 3 carbs gulping fresh air to feed the beast. Needless to say, they just dont make them like they used to. This little slice of muscle car history is available in our Dallas showroom. Description:

1965 Mustang base model with 6 cylinder 200cid. It is partially restored and has been sitting in my garage for the last 15 years.

It is in running condition and I take it out periodically for a ride just around the neighborhood. I painted it recently but Im not a pro painter so its not exactly perfect but looks pretty good from 10 feet away.

The frame is straight and has some surface rust but is solid. It had some body work done before I purchased it and you can see some waves along the top of the left rear quarter panel. Otherwise the body is in very good condition. The side mirrors and front bumper have been replaced with aftermarket ones. The shock towers were replaced and are solid. The entire floor pan was also replaced.

Brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, rubber hoses and most of the steel brake lines have been replaced. I replaced the points with a pertronix module. The carburetor has been replaced with an improved design replacement from pony carburetors.

The cloth/vinyl seats have some wear especially on the cloth sections. The vinyl sections are in very good condition with the exception of a tear on the top of the back seat where it meets the package tray. The radio was replaced a long time ago with an AM/FM cassette player. The speakers have also been replaced front and rear. I have the original am radio but it is not working. The door side panels are new aftermarket and look good. The headliner has also been replaced.

Other new parts installed include: fuel pump, spark plug wires, starter relay, alternator harness, ignition coil, muffler, door sill plates, e-brake handle and steering wheel.

The engine runs good but is a little loud because the back manifold flange on the cylinder head is broken. However I have a completely rebuilt cylinder head which comes with the car and is ready to be installed.

The exterior is completed by the most iconic wheels in Hot Rod History the Cragar SS. The Chevelle is at its best when the rear wheel wells are full of deep dish wheels and oversize tires. This one is a perfect example. Wow they look great and like they were made to be there. The interior is Black, bucket seats with shifter on the floor and a console. An oversize Tach is mounted on the console and a trio of gauges is under the dash. There arent to many options on the car, but all the important boxes are checked. Air Conditioning, an updated stereo and power steering and brakes all combine for a great cruiser. The power supplied by the ZZ4 crate motor is more than adequate to make this Chevelle scream down the highway. The sound that it makes is deep and powerful. There is also an electronic cutout that turns it into a Free Breathing Beast with the touch of a switch. Blacktop Beware when this Chevelle rolls out of the Garage. Description:

For sale in our Nashville show room is this red hot 1932 Chevrolet Sedan street rod! In 1932 the Great Depression was marching on and across town Ford was cranking out the brand new 1932 Fords sporting a ground breaking V8 engine. This caused sales to slump for the young Chevrolet company who was still using the inline 6-cylinder stove bolt motor, causing the 1932 Chevrolet BA Confederate Sedan to be produced in far lower numbers. Today that works to your advantage if you’re a bowtie fan that want’s something nobody else has! Oh, and don’t worry about that stove bolt inline-6, it’s been ditched in favor of the venerable small block Chevrolet V8 with a displacement of 400 cubic inches! This 1932 Chevrolet has a striking interior with leather and ostrich skin on the seats and the door panels, windows are power, the overhead console holds the cd player, the custom rear package tray sports new speakers, the driver has an adjustable tilt wheel to make driving more comfortable and can access all gears from the lokar shifter, and there are new mag wheels and performance radial tires all around. This 1932 Chevrolet Sedan is ready for the local cruise in or a trip on the power tour!
