Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Detroit is excited to have this 1983 Ford Thunderbird Drag Car for sale! This Thunderbird is well known in the racing community here in Detroit. It is a tried and true race car and does exactly what it needs to when those 4 tires hit the racetrack. The first thing you notice is the paint color. You look at this car and go WOW is that bright. This Ford is painted in highlighter green, if the sound of the motor doesnt turn heads, the paintjob sure will. The interior has been gutted for weight loss purposes in order to obtain the fastest times at the track. It still retains its original dash that has been modified to fit some aftermarket gauges so you can keep track of all the operations of this high-powered motor. The true showpiece of the car is whats under the hood. The heart of this beast is a 447 cubic inch small block Ford V8 that roars through its open headers at the touch of the throttle. Helping that motor get you moving is 2-speed Powerglide transmission that is common in cars of this nature. This Thunderbird is a real beast and will give you the best kind of adrenaline rush when driving it. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer this 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible! After being with the same owner for the past 22 years, its time for this beauty to find a new loving home. The car was restored and painted in a fabulous red by the current owner and sports a clean white vinyl interior. The paint is by Dupont and gives off a great shine when the sun hits it. Under the hood is the legendary Oldsmobile Rocket 350 V8 and paired to an automatic 3-speed transmission. The noise is emitted through dual exhausts coming out the rear. The rear end remained stock and gets the power to the back tire smoothly. The white soft top is in good condition, but the car looks best with the top down and the wind blowing. Inside the shift lever has been replaced with a non-fuctional his and hers lever that dresses up the interior. In the center of the dash the car has been fitted with an aftermarket Blaupunkt radio and CD player hooked up to four kenwood speakers, two in the front and two in the rear. The odometer currently reads 53,516 unknown mileage. All of this sits atop 14-inch rims. This good looking drop top is ready for its new owner to enjoy! Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this 1979 Chevrolet Corvette! This one is #s matching Red on Tan, with a Manual Trans behind the L-82. The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) was a sports car that was produced from 1967 to 1982 by Chevrolet for the 1968 through 1982 model years. Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new. It set new sales records with 53,807 produced for the 1979 model year.[4] The C3 is the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, and marks the second time the Corvette would carry the Stingray name, though only for the 1969 - 1976 model years. 1979 saw the crossed-flag emblems on the nose and fuel door revert to those seen on the 77 model. Three popular features introduced on the 78 pace car replicas made it into this years production: the new bucket seats, the front and rear spoiler package, and the glass roof panels. The new lightweight “high back seats were made standard equipment. The new seats had better side bolster, provided easier access to the rear storage area, and the seat pair resulted in a weight reduction of about 24 pounds. The bolt-on front and rear spoilers were offered as an option and nearly 7,000 cars were ordered so equipped. Functionally, the spoilers decreased drag by about 15% and increased fuel economy by about a half-mile per gallon. A bigger hit were the glass mirror-tint roof panels, now a regular option, with nearly 15,000 cars so fitted despite their costing $365. All T-tops were now wired into the standard anti-theft alarm system. Tungsten-halogen high-beam headlights became standard as did an AM-FM radio, and for the first time a cassette tape player could be added as a $234 option.[34] Heavy duty shock absorbers could now be ordered without the full Gymkhana suspension. An auxiliary electric engine cooling fan was first installed, but only on L-82 equipped cars with air conditioning.[35] Rocker panels and rear window trim were painted black.[32] Output for all engines increased due to new open flow mufflers. The dual-snorkel air intake introduced on L-82 cars the previous year was now fitted to all cars and the base engine now generated 195 hp (145 kW). The optional L-82 engine increased to 225 hp (168 kW). This was the final year a manual gearbox could be ordered with the L-82 engine. This was also the last year for the M21 close-ratio 4-speed, a gearbox that, as in previous years, required the optional L-82 engine.[15] A wide-ratio 4-speed was available for all cars. Noteworthy is that about 82% of the cars were ordered with manual transmissions in 1968. In 79, less than 20% of the cars were delivered with manual gearboxes.[6] This year reached an all-time high in Corvette popularity. Production hit its peak in 1979 at 53,807, a record that stands to this day.(Source Wilipedia) Dont miss your opportunity to own a piece of real American built Chevrolet Muscle Car history in our Denver Showroom. Description:

*MORE PICTURES AND VIDEO COMING SOON* Gateway Classic Cars of Denver is proud to offer this 1952 Buick Special 46S The Special was an automobile produced by Buick. It was usually Buicks lowest-priced model, starting out as a full-size car in 1936 and returning in 1938 (after a two-year hiatus) as a mid-size. By 1970, Special was no longer offered as a standalone model but the name would later be used for the entry trim on 1975 to 1979 and 1991 to 1996 Century models. The entry level Buick can trace its heritage to the Buick Model 10, a companion to Buicks first car, the Buick Model B. The Model 10 started out as one of the independent brands merged into Buick, called the Janney. Halfway into the 1949 model year, the Specials received all-new bodywork, the first fully postwar design for the series. New was also the 40D-series, a better equipped version called the Special DeLuxe.[10] The engine remained the 248 cu in (4.1 L) which had been used since 1937, but for 1951 this was replaced by the larger Fireball straight-eight. A two-door hardtop coupe was also new for 1951.[11] The 1954 Specials had an all-new body and chassis, much wider and lower, and were now equipped with the all-new, more powerful Nailhead V8 engines.[12] For additional information please call our sales staff at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to offer this very well put together 1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z. In 1985, Chevrolet introduced the legendary IROC-Z version that was named after the International Race of Champions. Offered as an option package on the Z28, the Camaro IROC-Z featured an upgraded suspension, lowered ride height, specially-valved Delco-Bilstein shocks, larger diameter sway bars, a steering/frame brace known as the wonder bar, a special decal package, and an optional tuned port injection system taken from the Chevrolet Corvette. This 1988 Camaro IROC-Z has its original 350 CID V8 and 4-speed automatic that has just 13,665 actual miles and is a One-Owner car. This 1988 Iroc is no ordinary Camaro though, added to the already great performing engine is a Paxton Supercharger, SLP headers, and 4 inch exhaust. With all of the power added the transmission was also upgraded and has an Art Carr torque converter. This fine example is a well-optioned car wearing the original shiny coat of Bright Red exterior paint that shows very well. The interior is all original with black and gray cloth seating surfaces and plush carpet that looks almost as good as the day it was new and the only modification is the hand controls which can be easily removed with no evidence of them ever being in place. The consignor recently added a new set of wheels and tires which are 15-inch Weld racing wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson tires - that just sets her off! But if that isnt your preference, the original wheels are available as well. Features include: Original AM/FM radio with cassette, power steering, brakes, locks, mirrors, and windows, a/c, tilt wheel, cruise control, aftermarket 5-star wheels, radial tires. The car runs great, looks great, and has always been well maintained. From bumper to bumper, this car looks great making it a vehicle that you want to own. The bottom line is simple; whether you are looking for a daily driver, a collector car, or an investment; this is it! This 1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z is for sale in our Indianapolis Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is excited to offer this 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This beetle received a full frame off restoration about 16 years ago and has held up great over the years. The blue paint still shines great in the sun, and the manual sunroof makes this a great summer cruiser. In the rear lies a new 1600 CC duel Port motor from Mofoco. The engine is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission, and the noise is emitted through quad chrome tip exhausts coming out the rear. The gear box is tight and ready to go! The new engine was put in about 11 years ago by the previous owner, and has about 1060 miles on it since being put in according to the owner. The engine has been beautifully dressed up in chrome that just pops against the blue exterior paint. Inside, the car has a clean refurbished interior with black vinyl and grey cloth insert seats. The Chrome VW seat belts add a nice touch in dressing up the interior. The odometer currently reads 45,166 miles which is claimed to be original by both current and previous owners. It has disc brakes at all 4 wheels and great looking 15-inch chrome hub caps that look great with the chrome bumpers and blue paint. Above the windshield lies the stylish Sun visor that helps separate this beetle from the others. To help separate this Super Beetle from the rest is the clean California look windows. The CAL look results in a single window on the driver and passenger doors instead of the separate Valence or Quarter glass. The front headlights have been fitted with Chrome visors that glisten in the sun. Hop inside and either turn the key or use the fancy push to start button located on the center dash pop it into first gear and be ready to have a lot of attention on you. Description:

Ahead in style! Ahead in power! Ahead in all around value! OLDSMOBILE as the 1955 ad said. Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is pleased to present this 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88. This one sports nice colors, perfect for Florida in a pretty coral & white combination. Its a sharp looking car, with nice body panel gaps and brightwork. Oldsmobile had some tough competition back then with Chevys new 1955 series, but Olds pulled it off well with this one, with terrific detail. As the 1955 ad said, Everything about it says go ahead! The 346 V8 is topped with an early design 4bbl, with cool Rocket script on the valve covers. An impressive power steering setup makes life behind the wheel a lot easier. The engine bay is very clean. The interior is a trio of colors and materials, and is quite comforable. Oldsmobile sure made great looking dash boards back then! The owner is providing a few receipts for recent work. Come have a look at this pretty Olds before someone else snaps it up. This 1955 Oldsmobile 88 is for sale in our Ft. Lauderdale Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
