Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome 1971 Pontiac GTO. Many consider the GTO to be the one that started the muscle car craze in when it was released in 1964 based on the mid-size Tempest. The public took notice and the Muscle car war began. By 71 the government had begun to step in and with the new emission standards and insurance rates skyrocketing the short-lived muscle car era was over before it really got started. The GTO would have one trick up their sleeve with the 71 GTO 455 HO option. Claiming to be the fastest GTO ever built they would be supplied in very low numbers making them extremely hard to come by today. This real 242 GTO is a great example and has had a period correct 455 installed under the hood giving this menacing black beast plenty of bite. The ram air hood fits nicely and reminds people you mean business. The 200r4 OD transmission shifts nicely with no hesitation when stomping the pedal and dropping a gear.Get here on the highway and the OD kicks in bringing the RPMs down making for a huge difference in fuel economy not to mention wear and tear. The big corporate 10 bolt Posi- rear end is sure to lay down as much rubber as the local authorities will allow. The Weld wheels are classic and compliment the blacked out menacing look that is sure to grab everyone’s attention. The big wing on the back will get plenty of compliments as you blow past the guy next to you. The interior of the car is clean and as you would expect black keeping with that whole menacing theme. The center console has the shifter mounted right in arms reach making sure no extra effort is needed to drop it in and drive and smash the gas. With a production run of less than 9500 cars in 1971 these REAL DEAL GTO’s are becoming more and more popular with collectors making this 1971 an excellent buy. Options on this 1971 Pontiac GTO include; AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1971 Pontiac GTO is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this rare & sleek 1992 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1. In the early 90s the ZR-1 would set a new record for the highest 24 hour-5,000 mile land-speed by going over 175 mph. The C4 represented a clean break from the previous generation of Corvette with a completely new chassis and modern, sleeker styling. This beauty is shown in its original deep black paint that is still in very nice condition. The paint still has a high gloss finish and is free from any major scratches, dings, dents, or blemishes. It still has all of its original body panels and no evidence of any body work on the car. The deep black looks great and is a personal favorite Corvette color of the Houston showroom. The doors open & close with ease and the overall condition of the exterior is very nice for an all original 1992 car. The bumpers, light lenses, mirrors, & glass are all in the same great condition. The car sits on its original ZR-1 chrome wheels that are wrapped in some high-performance Nitto tires that have plenty of life left in them. Behind those wheels you find a set of performance drilled & slotted steel disc rotors that help bring all 375HP to stop on a dime. The rear hatch is also in great working shape and the glass is clean. Powering this black bullet down the road is the original LT5 5.7L 350 CiD V8 that produces 375HP & 370 lb-ft of torque out of the gate. The ZR-1 motor is & has been famous since its creation for being an extremely well balanced, reliable, & high performing engine out of the box. 1992 was also the first year the ASR (acceleration slip regulation) or traction control was added to the platform. The engine is completely stock and unmolested from factory, as you can see the engine bay is very clean and all items are in their factory locations. The Lotus designed engine is paired to the 6-speed manual transmission that shifts firm & smooth. Rowing gears in a 375HP corvette is pretty much why muscle cars exist for many people, as this car is an absolute thrill to drive. Did we mention this car has only 56k miles on it?? Looking at the interior you will find a beautiful black leather & cloth set up that is all factory. The seats are comfortable and free from any tears or rips. The carpet, door panels, & dash are in fantastic condition and show very well. We love the black on black color combination. The targa top comes off with ease and with it removed the car still feels rigid and always in control. All of the options on the car work as they should, and the car has all the signs of being a nice low mileage car that has been well cared for over the years. The car is just as clean on the under side as the top side. No rust to be found on the car and it is a really stunning car to drive & just admire at your next car meet.

Description:

This 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 73 Mustang is what many will consider the last year of the original Pony car. With the 67 to 72 cars reaching unheard of prices these 73’s are seeing a huge increase in demand. There longer front ends are beginning to catch on with some people preferring them over the earlier cars. This example has been through only 3 owners in the past 25+ years with each one maintaining the car and even keeping the receipts that have been passed on as well. The paint on the car is probably the first thing that catches your eye with it dark and deep red really pulling you in. The silver accents are a nice touch while the black rear and front chin spoiler are left in their natural flat black finish. The custom Mag wheels are a great addition and give the car a more modern feel. The black convertible top looks good when it is up but looks best tucked away and under the either white or black tonneau cover. Under the hood is the most popular engine to ever be put in a Mustang, the small block 302. This one was rebuilt about 8000 miles ago and still runs out great. The 3 speed manual transmission shifts thru the gears nicely with the clutch having a good feel and actually easier to use than most. The interior has been done in a sleek white vinyl with red accents bringing the outside in. If you have been wanting a fun Pony car that has that great modern look this 73 Mustang is the perfect car. Options on this car include AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Top, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. Description:

This awesome 1973 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The second generation of GM’s Pony car was released in the spring of 1970 as a 70 Model. They were an instant hit with the public due to their great fastback styling and the endless list of options. They were not highly sought-after cars in the collector car market until recently. Now they have almost a cult like following with the 70-73 models being the most desirable. This example has had quite a bit of work done in order to bring it to its current condition. Receipts show that the build began back in late 2007 with the majority of the work being completed in the next 2 years. We will start with the body of this beauty which appears to have had both front fenders replaced. With the fitment of the doors and hood being well with in 73 standards the car was then painted. The dark blue is very similar to the iconic Admiral blue which shows off the lines of the Camaro nicely. The white racing stripes going over the hood and trunk lid add to the stock look and compliment the Blue nicely. Sealed in with a couple coats of clear the paint not only looks great but has that added layer of protection. The interior of the car has been taken back to its former glory with the black vinyl buckets upfront being classic 70’s Camaro. The B&M Ratchet style shifter is a nice touch, but I prefer just simply dropping it down in D but is nice to have the option. Under the hood is a very healthy small block 350 giving the car plenty of power. Consisting of your typical go-fast parts such as the huge 4-barrel Edelbrock Carb and matching intake this thing is classic muscle at its best. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with a mash of the gas second gear comes rather quickly with a firm shift. The 10-bolt rear end handles the power getting pout down to the pavement with out any worries. The 4-wheel disc brakes get this second-generation Camaro slowed down in a hurry. If you have been looking for a split bumper that is fun to drive, gets everyone’s attention, and don’t cost an arm and a leg this Blue beauty is the one. Options on this 1973 Chevrolet Camaro include; AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1973 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Description:

Now for sale at our Houston showroom is this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet El Camino SS. This is a numbers matching 396 CID V8 truck with all the power and torque you could ever want! It made 429hp on the dyno. The sound this truck makes is amazing. The color combination looks amazing with blue exterior and interior to match. Cornering and stopping is made easy with power brakes and power steering. The Turbo-400 transmission is a great match for the torque in this truck and shifts smooth between the gears. The front wheel bearing and seals have been replaces, parking brakes were repaired, new tires installed about 1-year ago, all door locks repaired to work correctly, new fan blad, clutch and fan shroud done, new spark plugs, fuel lines and carb kit done too. All of the bed rails have been replaced underneath. 1968 was the first year for the third generation of El Camino, which was based on the Chevelle station wagon and four-door sedan wheelbase. For 1969 only minor changes took place, led by a more rounded front end styling language. A single chrome bar connected quad headlights, and a slotted bumper held the parking lights. New round instrument pods replaced the former linear layout. For the first time, the Chevrolet 350 V8 was used in an El Camino. The Super Sport group included a 265- or 325-horsepower 396-cubic-inch V8 beneath a double-domed hood, along with a black-out grille displaying an SS emblem. Curiously, back-up lights moved from the rear bumper to the tailgate, where they were ineffective when the gate was down. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. The business end of this beauty has been sorted properly to ensure plenty of years of playing in the streets. The exterior design has not been compromised and you’re sure to notice those classic Chevrolet lines as you dice your way through any type of traffic. The metallic silver top is a gorgeous contrast to the black body, and the wood bed adds just a little extra surprise when you look in back. This ultra low miles 1966 Mustang has less than 17,000 miles since it was built… over 50 years ago. That’s right, this 1966 Mustang has seen less than 17,000 miles total in it’s life. This really is one clean and well driving Mustang, not to mention it sounds great as you cruise down the road. The word that best describes this car is original… and that’s not to mean less that great, no this car is as it should be and is original. Taking a walk around this car takes you back to the spring of 1966 when this car would have been the best new thing. This 1966 Mustang is ready to bring home the spirit of the early pony car years with authenticity and style. This ride is complete with AM/FM radios, alloy wheels, radial tires, vinyl interior, seat belts, and power steering. Description:

This 1993 Mazda RX7 Turbo is for sale in our Louisville Ky showroom. The Rotary engine was revolutionary for its time and what many thought would be the direction of the automotive industry. Like many new things they just did not quite catch on but there were some really neat Mazda’s that would take advantage of these high revving high horse power engines. The 93 RX7 turbo is the one that most remember. With a 14 second quarter mile time they were Rockets straight out of the box. This black beast is a great example why so many have fell in love with these tuner classics. The black has been the best-looking color on these rear wheel drive monsters with the taillights blending into the rear end. They still look super modern even if it is 25 years old. The tan interior is another nod to the classic 90’s look and still shows extremely well. Although the car has a little over 84k miles on it the rotary was replaced with a reman one from Mazda which only has a little over 26k miles on it with receipts included in the sale. The Excedy stage one clutch was installed in august of 2016 but with less than 2000 miles on it since then this 93 RX7 is ready for the open road. With the car having a clean and clear Auto History report verifying the mileage and no accidents this has to be one of the best 7’s around. Sounds almost too good to be true yet the best part of it all is the current owner is only the second and bought the car in 95. It really is a great opportunity to own one of these ultra-fun extremely rare sports cars that are doing nothing but going up in value. Options on this 1993 Mazda RX7 Turbo include; AM/FM Radio with CD player, GPS, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Driver Airbag, Leather Interior, Power Sunroof, Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1993 Mazda RX7 Turbo can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call at 812-294-1555 or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information.

Description:

For sale is this beautiful 1962 Chevrolet Nova 400 Convertible is in our Louisville showroom. The 1962 Chevy II (Nova) rode a 110-inch wheelbase, compared to 109.5 for the Ford Falcon, at which Chevys new compact was aimed. The Chevy II one of the fastest new-car development programs in GM history – just 18 months after the designers got the green light, the first production Chevy II rolled off the Willow Run, Michigan, assembly line in August 1961, in time for its September 29 introduction. Unlike the Corvair, the 1962 Chevy II was deliberately never intended to be revolutionary in concept or execution; its mission was to give Chevrolet buyers a simple, back-to-the-basics compact car and it did. This Nova 400 convertible is very clean, but still very simple. A quick peek of the underside will show how clean the car. Under the hood, is the ever reliable inline 6-cylinder engine. The engine is backed by a 2-speed automatic power glide transmission. The interior is basically stock, but some of the vinyl ha been replaced with cloth inserts. The convertible is manual, but so easy to put up and down, that it only takes one person to do it. Options on this 1962 Chevrolet Nova 400 Convertible for sale include; AM/FM Radio, Manual Convertible Soft Top, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior and White Wall Radial Tires. 1962 Chevrolet Nova 400 Convertible for sale is in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please call (812) 294-1555 or email us at Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information. For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a Maroon Metallic Beauty: A 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible. This is a very well optioned Cougar XR7, and as it turns out is 1 of 21 produced in the same color and trim package per the Marti report. The suggested retail price back in 1971 on this Cougar XR7 convertible was $5,350.00, not a cheap car for 1971! This Cougar is finished in a beautiful shade of Maroon Metallic that looks fantastic against the white vinyl interior and white convertible top. Powering the Cougar is a 351 CID V8 engine with an automatic transmission transferring the power to the pavement. One unique feature in the interior is the factory tachometer and rally gauges. They provide a sporty appearance and are a very nice add to this already classy interior. The odometer reads 16,808, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player (in console), Air Conditioning (inoperable), Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Automatic Convertible Top, Wire Spoke Hub Caps, and White Wall Radial Tires. Description:

This 1977 Ford Mustang Cobra II is for sale in our Louisville showroom. This is far from your ordinary Mustang II. The Cobra II debuted in 76 which included a black grill, hood scoops, front and rear spoilers, rear quarter window louvers, racing stripes and the iconic Cobra logo. This year in particular has the hood scoops turned the opposite way to reveal a sinister look sure to strike fear when seen in a rear view mirror. In order to bring the Mustang II to its performance roots, Ford elected to throw a V8 back in the humble Mustang. This Cobra II’s 302 CID v8 engine has been fully rebuilt from top to bottom. Some engine goodies include an Edelbrock cam and lifters, Edelbrock Performer dual plane aluminum intake, and a Holley 600 carburetor. A rebuilt c4 automatic transmission puts the power to the ground of this 77,000 mile machine. The exterior of this Cobra II is far from ordinary as it has been painted in Lime Gold Metallic Paint and shimmers beautifully in the light. Smoothed and recessed bumpers give the car a smaller and more attractive appearance. The exterior of this car takes the basic shape of a Mustang II and makes it worth giving a second look. An otherwise easily overlooked car has been given a new sexy look and it definitely turns heads of the 1st gen mustang purists. The Black vinyl interior is one of the coziest performance minded interiors Ford has ever dreamed up. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this beautiful 1975 Triumph TR6 that is in great condition. TR6s are one of the most sought after British sport cars on the market today. They are still affordable today and the TR6 series is a great investment. With a steady climbing value, the right time has come to make one your own before they get too expensive. The one that we have for sale in our South Florida showroom is the one you want. This Triumph is in great condition, beautiful inside and out. The car was recently repainted and looks fantastic in its orange color. It isnt a secret that classic cars like to rust. There is no reason to be worried with this one. The body is in fantastic condition. We checked the whole sheet metal and there are no signs that this TR6 was ever involved in any collision. Our magnet sticks everywhere like glue and the body lines up like in 75. Lets continue and jump in the drivers seat. You will be amazed how clean the inside is. There are no cracks, rips or any other damage. Everything looks great including the carpet and the wooden dashboard. Turn the key and the real fun begins. The inline 6 cylinder sounds like it is just broken in and has enough power to let your cheeks flap in the wind. Of course, the old British sports car is shifted by a 4 speed manual transmission. It is just fun to drive this TR6. Just one peak in the clean engine compartment will tell the story of this car. This roadster has always been in good hands and well taken care of. There is only one problem with this car, it needs a new owner that will continue to take good care of her. She is ready to go and it is a must see. Please give us a call to find out more about this beautiful 1975 Triumph TR6. Let it ride!!! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1975 Triumph TR6, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
