Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Houston showroom is this fearsome 1968 Chevrolet El Camino. What do we mean by fearsome? For starters, its practically new 496 CID Chevrolet V8 has less than 1000 miles on it since it was fired up, and it sounds tight and very nasty. To make sure this mill is properly fed, a full 5/8 ID fuel line setup was custom engineered from the tank to the big 850 CFM Demon Carb, using stainless tubing and real AN-fitting braided steel hose (no braided sleeves here - this is the real deal)! Spark control is provided by an MSD Digital 6AL with MSD wires. Built by Scott Ruther, the big 496 is sure to be up to the task for many miles to come. The 496 Rat Motor sends its twist to the rear wheels via a new GM TH400 3-speed automatic trans, equipped with a B&M Hammer shift kit and 3500 RPM Stall Converter, out to a GM 12-bolt rear end housing 3.73:1 gears - plenty of grunt to put a smile on its drivers face every time the loud pedal gets mashed. To help the driver keep tabs on the big block, it is equipped with the most important AutoMeter gauges: large face memory tach, temp, and a mechanical oil pressure gauge. When youre ready to get rolling, dont worry about hooking up, as the Mickey Thompson drag radials out back are up to the task of wrinkling up the pavement. This beast is made for sucking the headlights out if its competition on the strip, for sure; but its not incapable of being driven around town or out on the highway for a cruise. Its brown vinyl bench seat is in great shape, the carpet is practically unused, and it even has an aftermarket consold with cupholders. The exterior is low-key cool, with a sleeper shade of Palomino Tan covering the body, and no extra look at me stuff to attract unnecessary attention. The body consists of all of its original panels, and from the pictures, one can tell that this El Camino has good bones. Options on this 1968 Chevrolet El Camino for sale include AM/FM radio, Vinyl Seats, Cragar Aluminum Wheels, Radial Tires, and Seat Belts. For more information on this 1968 Chevrolet El Camino for sale, please call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220; or email us at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this modernized and beefy 1984 LS1 powered GMC C-10. One of the irritations with older vehicles is the difficulty of starting a carbureted engine in cold weather, carb tuning and cleaning and general maintenance that goes along with it. The LS1 engine is a modern all aluminum V8 that takes away the headaches of the older designed power plants. Not only is it more reliable, but it is also much better on fuel and allows for generation of big power along with lightweight design. The LS1 is combined with a fantastic and smooth shifting 4L60 transmission. The truck has a posi rear end with 3:42 gearing which allows for great traction and low rpms on the highway. You might want to think of this truck as a modern Trans Am but with the utility of a truck. Best of both worlds! The truck is finished with a white PPG paint and beautiful tan leather interior. It gives the truck a very luxurious feel throughout. Power brakes, power steering, CD player, leather, tilt wheel, alloy wheels and radial tires. All features that you will find on this truck. This is known as the third generation of the Chevrolet/GMC C-10. The third-generation trucks are colloquially known as the Square-body or Box-body generation. GMs official Rounded-Line moniker highlighted the pickups rounded styling cues that were incorporated into the design. This included rounded windshield corners, rounded corners of the cab roof, rounded-corner doors which cut high into the cab roof eliminating roof height, slanted front fenders, and rounded pickup box corners which allowed for rounded wraparound taillamps, a first for GM pickups. The design also featured strong distinctive curved shoulder lines which rounded out below the beltline. The curved shoulder line continued across the back tailgate on Chevrolet Fleetside and GMC Wideside models. However, the low slope of the hood and rectangular front end of the truck originated the square/box-body nickname, which was propagated through truck magazines and word of mouth. GMs design engineers fashioned the Rounded-line exterior in an effort to help improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, using wind tunnel technology to help them sculpt the body. Other design traits include sleek sculpted body work, an aerodynamic cab with steep windshield rake, and a unique available hidden radio antenna embedded into the windshield glass. You will be hard pressed to find another third generation LS1 powered GMC C-10 that is as nice as this throughout. It has been meticulously built and taken care of. Please reach out to the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220 to learn more about the truck or to learn about purchase and finance options. You can visit the truck in person at 1910 Cypress Station Dr Suite 200, Houston, TX 77090. To see all the HD pictures and video please go to http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1164/1984-GMC-C-10 We look forward to hearing from you!

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very well built 1939 Chevrolet Tudor Street Rod. This street rod has been lovingly assembled to be one bad street terrorizing machine. The rod sits on a professionally built chassis with a lot of support to handle a ton of horsepower if it even needed to. The front end has a dropped straight axle, and the rear has a custom 4 link set up. The front has disc brakes, with drums in the rear. She rides on a refinished set of vintage American Racing wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson rubber and Drag radials in the rear. The body has been beautifully restored with Dupont Chroma Pearl Yellow that really pops in the sunlight. The body has been chopped for a more aggressive look, but it still provides plenty of headroom. The panel gaps fit very nicely and the doors close like a much newer vehicle. It has a custom flame scheme for a retro look and as a neat touch, the flames even cover the underside of the front fenders. To match, the interior has been upholstered in bright yellow as well. Theres two buckets and the rear houses a welded in roll bar. The Chevy even has a custom Pete and Jakes steering wheel. Under the hood is a nicely dressed 454 CID Big Block V8. It wears finned aluminum valve covers which are vintage Moon items. The 454 is fairly stock, runs well on pump gas, and makes a great cruiser. The transmission is a TH400 with a shift kit that shifts nice and firm. The engine breathes through 3 stainless exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers unless you oncork the side exits which allow for much more noise. Overall this is a well thought out, well put together street rod. You can see this super cool 1939 Chevrolet Tudor Street Rod in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this extremely beautiful 1956 Oldsmobile Holiday 2 door hardtop. Oldsmobile is a big name when it comes to classic cars. This car is proof of just that. This is also why so many car enthusiasts want one in their garage. The Olds is over 60 years old and still runs and drives like it did in the 50’s. Let’s start with the walk around. Is there a better color combination than white and turquoise for a car like this? Just to see the car from the front is amazing. The big chrome grill is a piece of art. The lines of the body move flawless from the front over the rear bumper. This is a hardtop coupe so the lines do not get distracted by a b pillar. The white wall tires wrap around the rims and give this car this special something. Open the door and you will be amazed. The interior is in very clean condition. The little details are what made these cars out of the 50’s so special. Turn the key and you will never forget your first ride in this piece of art. People will go crazy when they see you driving down to your favorite 1950’s style diner. Park it right in front and remember the feeling of how great it was back then. The Holiday is powered by its Rocket V8 and shifted by an automatic transmission. One really comfortable feature is that the Holiday 88 is equipped with power steering. The car is ready to roll! Put some grease in your hair, jump in the old dusty leather jacket and relive those memories you will never forget or write new ones in this piece of art. Let it ride!!! Description:

The year is 1955, The popular Western show Gunsmoke debuts on television., while this gorgeous black T-Bird Convertible rolls into showrooms for sale. This two-owner convertible now only has 77,854 actual miles. And was recently rebuilt in 2012. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolets new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. It was a two-seat design available with a detachable fiber glass hard top and a folding fabric top. Production of the Thunderbird began later in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time, such as single, circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tailfins, the Thunderbird was sleeker and more athletic in shape, and had features like a hood scoop and a 150-mph speedometer hinting a higher performance nature that other Fords didnt possess. Mechanically though, the Thunderbird could trace its roots to other mainstream Fords. Though inspired by, and positioned directly against, the Corvette, Ford billed the Thunderbird as a personal car, putting a greater emphasis on the cars comfort and convenience features rather than its inherent sportiness. The Thunderbird sold exceptionally well in its first year. In fact, the Thunderbird outsold the Corvette by more than 23-to-one for 1955 with 16,155 Thunderbirds sold against 700 Corvettes. With the Thunderbird considered a success, few changes were made to the car for 1956. Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this sharp 1969 Mercury Cougar convertible. What more could you want in a 60’s muscle car than a V8 engine, convertible top, and it being painted a beautiful red color. The introduction of the Cougar finally gave Mercury its own pony car. Slotted between the Ford Mustang and the Ford Thunderbird, the Cougar was the performance icon and eventually the icon for the Mercury name for several decades. The Cougar was available in two models (base and XR-7). This Cougar badged as the upgraded XR-7. Powered by a Ford 302 V8 engine and paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission, this car can really move. The odometer reads about 56k miles, but the drivetrain was completely rebuilt 300 miles ago. Many service updates have been completed and documented with over $6,000 in receipts to keep this car driving correctly still to this day. The shocks, starter, value covers, radio, steering wheel, battery and etc were all replaced with new parts during the rebuilt. The exterior paint is in great shape and painted in a gorgeous red paint with a black hood scoop and spoiler. The white vinyl interior is very clean and shows minimal signs of wear. The power convertible top works smoothly and operates as it should. The style of this car is like any other ‘69 muscle car with its hideaway headlights, unique taillights, and spoiler in the rear. You will not be able to drive this car without heads turning as you drive by. Options include; Sony Radio with CD, Power convertible top, power steering, raised white letters on radial tires, seat belts and vinyl interior. The current owner has got to cherish this beautiful beast for many years and is now giving someone else the chance to do the same. Do not let this ’69 American Muscle car pass you by! Description:

This 1947 Plymouth Street rod is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. In 1947 America was still glowing over its victory in world war 2. The Factory’s were almost back to full production and people had money. The 47 Plymouths symbolized all of this with there sleek fat fender designs and incredible dash with the elegant gauges. This 47 has kept all the features but with modern touches that give it a very custom look. Outside the Copper paint looks great and not something you would find on stock 47. The custom wheels help to compliment the modern touches. Under the hood is not something you would have seen in 1947. The 440 CID big block is all Mopar and something not found in most street rods. With that big block upfront power steering was added to make turning this beast a lot easier. The 727 torq flite transmission is exactly what that big block needs. Drop it down into drive and let transmission due all the work. The shift from 1st to 2nd is nice and smooth with the final going to 3rd nice and smooth exactly like you would expect. Step inside and the interior is comfortable with the bench seat upfront being the perfect mix of old school flavor with a modern twist. The original gauges are still intact giving the dash that classic 40’s look. Options on this 1947 Plymouth Street rod include; AC, AM/FM/Cassette, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior and Radial Tires with Raised White Letters on a set of Rally Wheels. To view this 1947 Plymouth Streetrod including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information call the showroom at (812) 294 1555 or email louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com.
