The motor swapped just works for this car and fits nicely into the engine bay. It runs strong & healthy and the fact that it is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission that shifts firm but smooth into each gear, really sets this Vette apart from the rest. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this beautiful 1938 Packard 1605 Super Eight Convertible Sedan From the very beginning, the Packard name stood for luxury and quality and became one of the top brands in the US. Steeply based in tradition. Packard espoused reliability and effortless operation in their machinery, and that philosophy reached its apex in the 1930s. Packards were adorned with some of the most handsome bodywork available anywhere. This 1938 Packard 1605 Super Eight convertible sedan represents the pinnacle of Packard design, placing a sporting yet practical convertible sedan body on a mammoth 139-inch wheelbase. The result is an imposing, elegant car which, when the top is down, has the dashing profile of a convertible. Roll-up windows and a surprisingly large trunk make it an ideal touring partner, and received a top-flight restoration in 2011 . The Dark Blue bodywork truly stands out and looks quite spectacular. It has always been a complete, well-cared-for machine that was finally given a comprehensive rebuild in anticipation of enjoying its impressive road manners. Fit and finish are what you would expect of Packard’s finest, with doors that close with just gentle pressure ,a hood that fits snugly, and paint that remains shiny and bright .Yes, there are a few signs of use here and there, but the overall presentation is extremely impressive. Chrome and other brightwork including the grille louvers, massive bumpers, and beautiful details throughout. Of note, the hood grilles remain excellent and, of course, the famous Packard Cormorant hood ornament exhibits crisp details. The interior offers sumptuous dark blue leather that’s the ideal match to the dark blue bodywork. Still in outstanding condition, it shows only very minor signs of use. Matching door panels and refinished wood garnish moldings add to the upscale elegance, and all the door hardware is correct. The gauges offer interesting pointers that seem to float in the center of the dial. In back, there’s enough room for three to stretch out in luxurious comfort, with high-quality carpets, a foot rest. The top stows neatly in the surprisingly small compartment behind the seat, where it’s hidden under a matching boot. All Super 8s featured the legendary 320 cubic inch straight-eight which was rated at 130 horsepower. But the real story is torque, and this car moves so effortlessly you might think there’s an electric motor under the hood. The engine bay is accurately detailed. Packard added an independent front suspension and hydraulic brakes in 1937, making these late-30s Packards some of the most highly-sought tour vehicles due to their comfort. This is unquestionably a first-rate Full Classic .This is a no-excuses Packard that more than lives up to lofty expectations. This 1938 Packard 1605 is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (407)771-2000 or email us at Orlando@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible. This one has been fully restored using NOS sheet metal and was given the 442 & W30 appearance. The 455 was professionally rebuilt by AMT Performance Engines and is making much more power than any W-30 that left the factory. Horsepower is rated over 400 and has boat loads of torque. All this power is useless unless you have a stout transmission, rear end and axles. Transferring this power-house is a beefed up TH-400 and back to a custom 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears, Posi-traction and high tensile strength axles. The shortened rear allows for beefy 275/60R15 radial rubber. The suspension consists of high performance Hotchkis and Koni. A lot of builds like this usually forget about the brakes. Thats not the case with this one! Power four wheel Wilwood disc brakes make slowing things down a breeze. Equipment for this cool convertible include Power windows, Power brakes, Power steering, Power top with glass rear window, Air conditioning, Tilt steering column, custom leather seats and seat belts. This beautiful Oldsmobile has been with the same 3rd owner for the last 18 years. It’s obvious that this one has been very well taken care of over the years. The blue metallic paint looks very fresh even though it was sprayed in 2010. The white accent stripes compliment the white top and interior very well. Finishing the look is a set of Centerline aluminum wheels wrapped in radial rubber for that classic muscle car look. For more information on this 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, call 618-271-3000 or stop by our St. Louis showroom. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com

Description:

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. This is without question one absolutely gorgeous 69 Camaro! There isnt much that wasnt customized, and it shows. It’s easy to throw a ton of aftermarket parts on a car. This took some serious time and attention to detail. Let’s start with the obvious first. Painted in a beautiful shade of red with white stripes or a gorgeous white leather interior and riding on a set of custom Billet Specialties aluminum wheels. This isnt just a nice paint job though. The front bumper is a narrowed and reshaped 1969 Camaro bumper mounted with custom brackets. The lower valance has a lower grill opening with a stainless steel grill, the upper grill opening has been smoothed and features driving lights/ turn signals from a ’69 Camaro. The lower air dam and fender extensions are a one off from molded fiberglass. The upper grill opening is smoothed and recessed to accommodate quad headlights from a 1970 Oldsmobile and a hand fabricated stainless grill with a relocated hood release. The hood features a steel cowl induction that was welded from underneath and smoothed all around. The front fenders have lower extensions molded ahead and behind the wheel opening and smoothed. All the inner front panels and support systems were smoothed, relocated and painted to match the body. The doors were also smoothed and utilize 2003 GM latch and handle systems for a clean appearance. The side rocker panels were extended the full length to give an even and finished look to the bottom edges. The rear quarters, you guessed it, smoothed with the rear side lights removed and the ends of the rear spoiler molded in place. The rear decklid is similar and features an original spoiler that was reshaped and molded in place. The rear body panel has reversed tail lamps fabricated from a ’69 Camaro and a welded in pop up gas cap. The rear bumper is also a 1969 unit that has been trimmed to fit. All the painted surfaces are PPG base coat clear coat Super Red with Silver Pearl. Once you raise the hood, you’ll see another cowl induction unit that is functional and removable. Lurking beneath this work of art is a very well built 468 Big Block that balanced and blue printed utilizing a solid roller camshaft and 10.5:1 compression. Other notable engine details include aluminum small chamber rectangular port cylinder heads with 2.19 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves, .620 lift camshaft, single plane intake manifold topped by a 830 CFM carburetor and aluminum accessories and pullies. Big blocks have a reputation for running hot, that can be easily addressed and was with this build thanks to a HD aluminum radiator and dual electric fans set up to cool 650 horsepower. The music this engine makes is the result of ceramic coated headers flowing through a set of custom stainless steel pipes and mufflers. Transferring this beautiful power plant to the ground is a 2005 Dodge Viper 6-speed, heavy duty clutch converted to hydraulic actuation and finally to a 12 bolt rear end housing a set of 4.10 posi traction gears. Slowing things down is a breeze thanks to four wheel disc brakes. Even though this car is presumed to strictly be a show car, it will do what you ask of it. The suspension and chassis were not missed. The front suspension has been heavily modified and includes shaved side rails and cross member, new tubular control arms, coil over shocks, a quick ratio steering box, heavy duty sway bar and dropped spindles for the aggressive ride height. All parts are painted in a gloss red and silver urethane finish. The underside has all new floors, unibody subframe connectors and additional braces for a more rigid chassis. The rear suspension and undercarriage are also heavily modified. Wheel tubs moved inboard two inches, shocks relocated, springs lowered and moved inboard, traction bars installed, new bearings and seals. Other modifications include a new fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, relocated battery(trunk), stainless steal lines and fasteners throughout. Altered oil pan, steering linkage, transmission mount and tunnel. The last area to cover and one of our favorites, the interior. The all white interior is very easy on the eyes and just feels fresh. The guys over at Recovery Room Hot Rod interiors did an amazing job. Hats off to these guys! Custom is the theme here as is the rest of the build. Custom white leather on most surfaces, new easy to read instruments for the custom dash, a tilt steering column, Sony CD player, custom rear deck with speakers, hand brake replacing the old foot actuated parking brake, custom center console that houses power windows switches, electronic fuel pump switch and the battery cut off. Power is estimated at 1,000 - 1,200 horsepower! The engine is a high compression LSX 350 with a Whipple Super Charger forcing gobs of fresh air into this fire breathing Camaro. The performance division over at Chevrolet deserves an award. The execution of this build is spot on. Weight reduction was incorporated in every possible area and is down to an estimated 3,200 pounds. It comes stock with a set of Hoosier racing slicks, Strange axles and brake calipers, Trans brake, Wheelie bars and a parachute. The chassis is NHRA certified and needs to be, as this thing is quick! The NHRA chassis certification is good for 8.50 seconds or slower. These COPO Camaros are capable mid 8 seconds at 160 MPH! Yes, the wheelie bars are necessary. All four corners are using Strange adjustable coil over shocks and Strange four wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors. Wheels are Bogart polished aluminum and are wrapped in Hoosier drag tires. The front runners are 28.0x4.5 and 9.0x30 R15s for the rears. The rears are Hoosiers light weight radial series. Inside will look a little familiar if youve ridden in a street version if the Camaro. There is still carpeting and a dash board with an array of gauges, no speedo though, only the important vitals of this heavy hitter engine. In the center where the radio would normally be are all of the necessary switches for controlling Ignition, Fuel Pump, Water pump for the intercooler, Head lights and an Auxiliary cooling fan. Amazingly it still has power windows and full door panels. Theres even a factory original steering wheel, although there is no power steering. However, you dont need power steering in a drag car. The front tires are quite narrow and lets face it, youre not going to be parallel parking this bad boy. This is a rare opportunity to own a true factory built race car. It is being sold on a bill of sale. Chevrolet does not issue a title for the COPO Camaros of today. Be the first one to take this mad Camaro down the strip. Description:

Our Louisville Showroom is proud to display/ have for sale this rare, beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 with the Rally Sport package and cross ram intake. Through five generations GM has continuously provided us with a variety of purpose-built performance packages that normally wouldn’t make it off the boardroom floor. When it comes to high dollar classics, you simply can’t go wrong with a first generation Z/28. Pedigreed, well-done small block cars continue to be some of the hottest selling metal on the market. And this documented, investment grade Z/28 has all the right ingredients to bring big value and even bigger appeal. For starters, it’s an authentic Matador Red car which features a correct Red interior. It also packs a correct 302 that’s equipped with a rare cross ram intake. The power is transferred through a tough Muncie 4-speed and correct 4.56 gears. If you’re in the market for a restoration-fresh collector car that you can enjoy and build equity in, this slick F1 demands your full attention! The beneficiary of a professional, rotisserie restoration that included $38K of paint and body work, this vivid panther simply glistens under our bright showroom lights. Craig Hopkins, of Cleveland, Georgia’s AMD Installation Center, put a lot of effort into making sure the car’s body is extremely straight. Everything has been bathed in DuPont Matador Red. Raise the solid steel hood and you’ll be delighted to find a rare Winters cross ram on top of a correct, 302 cubic inch high performance V8. Rebuilt at Precision Engines LLC, this fully balanced mill utilizes a forged SCAT crank, forged SCAT rods, SRP pistons and a Bullet Trans Am-spec cam to twist stout 11 to 1 compression into 344 dyno-proven horsepower! At the top of the 302 small block, Holley carburetors mix fuel from fresh stainless fluid lines with oxygen that’s piped through a chrome, cowl-fed air cleaner. Behind those carburetors, modern electronic ignition sequences spark through fresh Packard TV R Suppression Cables. And at the sides of that ignition, authentic ‘double hump’ heads hang bright chrome valve covers over roller tip rocker arms and professionally restored exhaust manifolds. When fired, the infamous V8 snarls and barks like a real competition piece. Its ancillary components are top-notch in every way, with fresh GM hoses and a correct Delco Moraine brake booster accompanying a reproduction Delco battery. And an even combination of Chevy Orange engine skin and Satin Black fender framing is accented by clean and appropriate decals. the best set up the Camaro offered was a tough Muncie transmission and track-worthy 4.56 rear end. This coupe’s correct 4-speed, which is equipped with a fresh clutch and flywheel, twists a shortened A-Body pumpkin that’s packed with new Moser axles, a proven Eaton posi and 4.56 Richmond gears. That first-rate drivetrain is held off the ground by a completely rebuilt, high performance suspension, which includes 4-piston, Corvette-style brakes, tuned front coils, multi-leaf rears and reproduction shocks. That suspension is dissected by an aluminized, true-dual exhaust system, which is fitted with a correct, transversely mounted muffler. That exhaust system is framed by clean floors which perfectly highlight a new stainless fuel tank, fresh stainless fluid lines and a variety of chip-free chassis components. Those floors roll on 15-inch Rally wheels, which spin E70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GTs around correct stainless center caps and dent-free trim rings. Inside, the Standard Red interior illustrates the true, no frills intentions of Chevrolet’s hallowed Z/28. Its bucket seats were restored with new backs, new foam and reproduction covers that look and feel fantastic. In front of those seats a stainless-trimmed dash, which exhibits no signs of warping or peeling, hangs rebuilt telemetry above a clean radio delete. At the base of that dash, great looking carpet centers a chrome Hurst shifter between four color-keyed floor mats. That seat, dash and flooring trifecta is framed by a tight headliner and standard, stainless-trimmed door panels. In front of the driver, Chevrolet’s classy Rosewood steering wheel spins satin spokes around a red, white and blue centerpiece. And behind the passengers, the car’s solid trunk has been correctly restored with new paint, a new mat, fresh decals and a full-size spare tire. Options for this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 R/S include; Radio Delete, Black Vinyl Top, Vinyl Interior, Tinted Glass, Special Suspension, Power Disc Brakes, Simulated Wood Steering Wheel and Rally Sport Wheels wrapped in Goodyear Bias Ply Tires. This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 with the Rally Sport package can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call at 812-294-1555 or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information.

Since the restoration, this car has won numerous Best in Class and Best in Show concours throughout New England, including the Lime Rock Park, Sunday in the Park Concours and the Berkshires/Tanglewood British Motorcar Festival.

The car runs and drives beautifully, sitting on the correct Avon tires and being propelled by the numbers matching dual overhead cam 3.4L 6 cyl. engine and trans, which was pumped up just a little by Brian Donovan when the motor was rebuilt as part of the restoration. To keep the motor running cool a 4 core aluminum radiator was installed, however, the original rad comes with the car. The car is a fully numbers matching car.

The car has only 16,000 miles on it.

Description:

This is your chance to own the first year of the three-year limited release Cosmos Purple Metallic GTO. With only 3 owners and 77,741 original miles, this LS1 powered GTO is sure to turn heads anywhere you go. The GTO was assembled by GMs Holden subsidiary at Elizabeth. It was equipped with the 5.7 liter LS1 V8 engine for the 2004 model year, the same engine found in the concurrent model year Chevrolet Corvette, with a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. Changes from the Australian-built Monaro included bracing additions to the body to meet U.S. crash standards, a corporate Pontiac front facia, new badging, GTO stitching on the front seats, and a revised exhaust system. GM Engineers benchmarked the sound of the 1964 GTO held in the Pontiac historical collection, as well as other LS1-powered vehicles, while working with the exhaust vendor to tune the system. The effort was made to make the new GTO invoke the same sound as the original while still meeting the noise threshold required by some states. The 2004 GTO exhaust was a true dual system that followed the original Monaro exhaust routing, thus both tailpipes exited on the driver side of the vehicle. General Motors claimed performance of 5.3 seconds to 60 and a 13.8 second quarter mile time, which was closely verified by several magazine tests. To view the car in greater detail, including an HD video and 100+ HD pictures please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our Denver showroom. Call 303-872-4722 for more information.

Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is pleased to welcome this awesome 1964 AMC Rambler. The Rambler is an automobile manufactured by the American Motors Corporation (AMC) between 1958 and 1969. It was the second incarnation of AMCs forerunner. The second-generation Rambler compact was sold under the Nash and Hudson Motors marques from 1954 and 1955. Many viewed the second-generation design as the best looking and were arguably the most attractive compacts of all time in Detroit in the early 1960s. Originally sporting a white paint job, this beautiful Rambler has gone through light restoration work in the last decade as well as routine maintenance. It now sports a fresh coat of bright red paint that really pops with the black leather interior and top. The inline 6 powerplant has had a complete engine rebuild and is paired to the original 3 speed manual transmission. That too was given attention as well with components such as the pressure plate, clutch disk, release bearing being replaced and having the flywheel resurfaced. All necessary bushings and seals were replaced as well. Additional features included with this AMC include an automatic convertible top, AM Radio, Hub Caps and white wall tires that really make a statement either driving down the road or presenting itself stationary in your garage. This Rambler will have you smiling from ear to ear every-time its taken out for a cruise. Its ready to go and the only thing left that this AMC needs is a new owner. A folder full of receipts and paperwork is available to show upon request. Contents are too much to list. To view this 1964 AMC Rambler in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Description:

If you stop to think about it, it is really unfair to call full-size cars from the late Sixties and early Seventies land cruisers or boats. The fact is, a lot people actually prefer driving these stretches of iron to todays less charismatic, but equally large, keep up with the Joneses SUVs. One great example is this 1970 Ford XL convertible! Built on a 121-inch wheelbase with a full frame and more than enough room under the hood for a V8. It is still a full 10 inches shorter than the 2007 Ford Expedition. The XL’s which had finally been set free from the Galaxie family in 1969 retained its near decade-long sporty heritage, thanks to just two body styles: a two-door fastback coupe, and the convertible. The hidden headlamps are divided into three sections, thanks to a pronounced V in the center of the grille. A sculptured ridge in the hood fans out slightly as you look from forward to aft, matching the center section of the grille at the nose of the hood. The side molding has been relocated from 1969 to a higher position, and the rear grille was toned down in favor of a cleaner rear fascia with new taillamps. Powering this rare beauty is a potent 390 cubic inch V8 that provides plenty of power and allows this XL to cruise down any road with lots of confidence. Backing the engine in this Ford is the optional Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission, shifted on the column, which replaced the standard-issue three-speed manual in all XL models except those equipped with the 429s. Drop the white top and you are treated to a maroon interior that is very spacious. One of the best features of this car is definitely the interior, mainly because it is very driver oriented. Rather than a flat dash layout that stretches from driver side to passenger, the driver side completely focuses on the driver. With all of the controls being within an arm’s length it makes driving this 1970 Ford Xl a whole different experience. You can view this 1970 Ford XL in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com.

The pedal-to-the-metal bug sometimes makes a docile man with a beautiful street car strip everything that is deemed unnecessary from it, just to eak out a little more speed. This flat black colored car could be one of the fastest Monte Carlos out there. Check out the performance parts found on this street and strip 38-year-old Chevy...a stroker 383 CID small block putting the power to a fully-prepped Turbo 400 transmission which thrusts the muscle to the street via a narrowed 4.10 geared rear axle. This car is very fast, but can also be driven on the street. The black vinyl interior is all business and there are no frills like AC to add extra unwanted weight or parasitic power lose to this now-svelte street bruiser. You can own a very reliable car that you wont see every cruise night or at at your neighborhood car show. The cost of the performance parts alone are much more than the asking price.
