Description:

We are excited to offer this very-well restored silver and dark cherry 1953 GMC 5-Window Deluxe for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis. This classic pick-up truck doesnt need any work. It is ready to enjoy today and priced to sell immediately. BACKGROUND: Beginning in 1920, GMC and Chevrolet trucks became largely similar, built as variants of the same platform, sharing much the same body sheet-work, except for nameplates and grilles – though their differences, especially engines, have varied over the years. GMC advertising marketed its trucks to commercial buyers and businesses, whereas the Chevys targeted private ownership. From 1939 to 1974 GMC had its own line of six-cylinder engines, first the inline sixes known as Jimmys from 1939–1959 (source: Wikipedia). This particular GMC truck has an easy to start and fun to drive 261 Inline Straight Six. It is still being driven by a 3-speed manual transmission on the floor. It has a powered by you steering and braking and only 1,743 miles after the rebuild. The current owner is its second post-rebuild. One of the best reasons to be interested in this 1953 GMC Truck is how unique this color scheme is. The exterior body has been painted in a satin gloss non-metallic silver that has maintained very good quality. The running boards fitted tight to the body and can withstand the pressure of body weight climbing in the truck. The dark cherrywood floor boards in the bed are in excellent condition and are a very attractive and distinguishing feature. The interior leather seats make the floor-boards and against the silver truck provide a striking and unique color combination. There are no tears, stains, or odors in the exterior. In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1953 GMC 5-Window Deluxe by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For even more information, please call 618-271-3000 or email STL@GatewayClassicCars.com to speak with one of our knowledgeable sales consultants.

Sitting atop Racecraft Sport-Tuned suspension, rolling on 20” seven spoke rims, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero performance rubber. Hop inside and you’ll be surrounded in black leather performance seats with grey suede inserts. Grab hold of the leather wrapped short throw shifter and let those ponies loose. A new Pioneer touch screen satellite and blue tooth radio has also been added. The Saleen S-281 is a variant introduced between the 4th and 5th generations of Ford Mustang which was produced by the American manufacturer Saleen, Inc. By 2005, Saleen departed from being a company of modifying existing Ford Mustangs as well as various other Ford automobiles, and became an Original equipment manufacturer. This was easily distinguishable with the body work designed by Phil Frank on the S-281s as well as the various other models offered by Saleen. Previously referred to as Saleen Mustang, Saleen now introduced a model designation based on the Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) of the engine, now referring the car as Saleen 281 CID, or simply S-281. Any distinguishable options purchased by the customer is indicated with a suffix added after the 281, designating its difference. Description:

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very nicely done 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova. The first thing you see is the stunning House of Color Black on Cinnamon Pearl two-tone exterior, the opposing colors being split by a slick silver stripe. Underneath the hood is a 350 cubic-inch Small Block Chevy equipped with the factory iron heads and steel crank, running at a smooth 10:1 compression produced by hypereutectic pistons. It contains a thumping 260 Comp High energy hydraulic cam sending kinetic force through rocker rollers. Sitting high and mighty is an Edelbrock intake with a Demon 650 carburetor containing an electric choke, and it’s all wearing a beautiful custom paint-matched air cleaner as its crown. This majestic motor has some Jet Hot coated headers which feed a full length dual exhaust utilizing Flowmaster 2 stage mufflers which give it an unmatched throaty tone. The serpentine belt drive system is from a late ‘80s V8 Camaro, and consists of a new alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and A/C compressor. The power plant sends all the converted energy through a Muncie 4-speed transmission that contains a Hurst shifter as well as a Centerforce street/strip clutch controlled by a hydraulic throw out bearing. Pushing through to the rear wheels is a GM 10-bolt that is rocking a 4.11:1 gear ratio, drum brakes, and air shocks. The wheels are by Rocket Racing and are wrapped in nearly new BF Goodrich tires. When the vehicle was last acquired it endured a complete disassembly and restoration which was completed in 2006. It has since spent its life in heated storage during it hibernation every fall and winter, and was lightly driven throughout the spring and summers. An update in the quality of the ride is brought to the table through a Heidts front suspension that consists of disc brakes, as well as a power rack and pinion steering system. A Glasstek fiberglass hood sporting a 4” cowl gives the car an aggressive, stout look. Underneath, the firewall has been smoothed and painted, and if that isn’t a clean enough look, the battery was relocated to the trunk and it even has a disconnect switch. Hugging you when you’re in the cabin are a pair of black leather bucket seats up front which ensure the driver and front passengers safety with new seat belts. The headliner, carpet, sill plates, door panels, and rear seat covers are all new as well. A third brake light has been added to ensure the car is easily seen, even at night. A custom tunnel and front console were installed, and the dash was painted to match the stunning exterior. This gorgeous Chevy II Nova is a great example of what an update on an old car should be! Options include: Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, AM/FM Radio, CD, Leather Interior, Performance Tires, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts. For more information on this 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com.
