Description:

· ONE AGAIN IT TIME FOR FRIENDS, FUN, AND FOLIAGE IN NEW HARTFORD
14 years ago, Mike O’Brien of Time Was Garage approached the New Hartford Volunteer
Fire & Rescue about facilitating a car show to raise money for the Fire Department. From that
encounter the Cartoberfest was born. It has become an annual event on the first Sunday in October
(or the first sunny Sunday in October). This is an amazing collaboration between the two
organizers of the event. It is run totally by volunteers both from the Fire Department and Time
Was Garage. Cartoberfest is the largest fundraiser for the Fire Department drawing 400 to 500
participants and over 500 spectators. 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Fire Department which helps
fund various equipment needs for the volunteer department.

The fundraising nature of Cartoberfest helps bring in cars from across Connecticut and beyond.
Since it is a non-judging event, it has become a relaxed showcase and social event for both the
participants and the spectators. You see anything from hot rods, custom cars, classic cars, Antique cars, ,
motorcycles, and trucks. Thanks to Time Was Garage the show draws from a huge community of car
enthusiasts.

Along with the entrance donations for participants and spectators, numerous local businesses
also support the event with monetary contributions and a dazzling array of door prizes. We are
so very fortunate to have wonderful local support.

Everyone is welcome. Please come out and join in the fun for this year’s event at
at Hurley Park along the Farmington River at 37 Greenwoods Road
(off Route 44) on Sunday, October 6, 2019
from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

There will be Dash Plaques, Door Prizes including NASCAR tickets to Dover, Charlotte , and New Hampshire Races and theatre tickets for Bridge St, Warner Theater, Infinity among various gift certificates from local businesses and beyond.
Great Food such as clam chowder,
and Live Entertainment. This year the Whiskey Rebels will be on stage.
Lets not forget a rose for the Ladies

It’s a great event to make new friends so if you love your ride come and show it.
